The show opens on Usagi's dream ("Mystery Sagashi (Mystery Search)"). The dream grows dark as she hears the voices of the Dark Kingdom, including Queen Beryl. They announce that they have been revived and briefly appear before Usagi wakes up from her dream. In the morning, Luna is in a panic as she searches for a still-sleepy Artemis to tell him that the Dark Kingdom has revived. The cats then set off to tell the girls.

At a department store, the girls are shopping for swimsuits. They are joined by Usagi, who is late and still sleepy. Usagi tells the rest of the girls about her dream. She's initially panicked about the return of the Dark Kingdom, but eventually brushes it off as just a dream since they defeated the Dark Kingdom before. The group is joined by Haruna-sensei, who is also shopping for a swimsuit. Haruna-sensei suggests that they go to the beach with her ("Natsu wo Shimashou Vacation (Let's Do Summer Vacation)"). Rei senses something off about Haruna-sensei, and reveals her as a youma by using Akuryo Taisan. Haruna-sensei transforms into the youma Manneguin and summons a squad of similar youma. They prevent the Senshi from transforming with their attacks. Manneguin questions the girls about where the Silver Crystal is, but after getting nowhere, she threatens to drain their energy instead. She is interrupted by a rose thrown by Tuxedo Mask. He enters the fray and immobilizes the youma with roses ("Bara no Himitsu (Secret of the Rose)"). Luna and Artemis catch up to Usagi and confirm that the Dark Kingdom was indeed resurrected, but Usagi is still distracted by Tuxedo Mask. Luna tells her about the past, when she was Princess Serenity and Tuxedo Mask was Prince Endymion. Luna and Artemis get nostalgic as the scene fades to a flashback.

The Pandemic Four recognize the girls as the Sailor Senshi; therefore, one of them must have the Ginzuishou. Queen Beryl appears, swearing revenge for her past defeat (“Revival! Queen of Tragedy”). She orders the Dark Kingdom to find and steal the Ginzuishou so that they can offer it to their ruler. Lemures Baba intends to steal energy through the video games to appease her in the meantime. Beryl orders them to take the Senshi alive until they find the Ginzuishou. More than anything else, Beryl wants to rule the Earth alongside Endymion.

Usagi and Mamoru play catch in a park. Usagi tends to throw it wildly, knowing that Mamoru will go and get the ball no matter what. Mamo gently scolds her for being too dependent upon him (“Wish”). The other girls show up. They discuss their investigation of the game show because people have been collapsing after playing the games. Usagi gets upset after being scolded for staying up late to play the video game and storms off. Mamoru says to let her be and leaves. The rest of the girls chat, and Minako jokes that real love is three-dimensional. The Pandemic Four show up and invite the girls out on a date, so everyone pairs off (“Love is Three-Dimensional”). Ami is the least willing to join in, so Zoisite talks to her in order to get her to open up.

Usagi comes back to find that everyone else ran off with the boys. Lemures Baba approaches her and Usagi recognizes her from the show. They briefly bond over being scolded, and Lemures Baba airs her frustrations with Queen Beryl. Usagi mentions that she spent all night playing the game, so Lemures Baba summons the Lemures to attack. Usagi tries to transform, but can’t because she played the video game. Tuxedo Mask arrives to help her (“On the Scene!! Tuxedo Mask”). The Lemures retreat. Tuxedo Mask offers Usagi some of his power from the Earth. The attack confirms their suspicions about the game show, and they realize that the other girls are in danger from the Pandemic Four.

Ami and Zoisite play shiritori. It starts to rain, so Zoisite leaves to fetch an umbrella. Ami gets nervous. Both Ami and Zoisite realize that their feelings are strangely familiar, and Ami consults the “I Am Your Cupid” app for help (“Memory Duo”). Zoisite seems reluctant to follow through on the plan. Before he can do anything, the other Shitennou arrive. Ami attempts to transform, but the Shitennou grab her. Sailor Moon arrives to help Ami and is quickly joined by the other Senshi (“Line Up!! 5 Women of the White Moon”). Moon tries to attack them, but her power is still weak. Zoisite manages to escape with Ami. Tuxedo Mask intervenes and demands that the Shitennou introduce themselves. Tuxedo Mark says Zoisite's name despite the latter not being present, and appears to remember something. Beryl appears and identifies him as Endymion. Tuxedo Mask offers to go with Beryl in order to ensure the Senshi’s safety and promises Moon that he will rescue Ami. Beryl attacks the Senshi. Lemures Baba tries to get the Ginzuishou from them, but Beryl calls it off since she promised Endymion that she would let them go. Beryl invites them to come to her palace with the Ginzuishou.

Moon blames herself for Ami and Tuxedo Mask's kidnapping and worries because she doesn’t know where the Ginzuishou is. The Senshi hear Queen Serenity's voice. Queen Serenity guides the Senshi to the Moon (“Stairway to the Moon”). Moon feels her power come back, and the Senshi use the Sailor Teleport to travel to the Moon.

In the past, Princess Serenity frets about getting ready for a visit from Endymion. Queen Serenity offers her one of her dresses. The Senshi and servants receive Endymion and his entourage. Endymion, the Shitennou, and Senshi tease Zoisite and Mercury. Serenity and Endymion greet each other excitedly, and everyone pairs off to dance at the party. Zoisite takes Mercury aside and warns her about Queen Beryl and the other Shitennou, who he suspects are working with her. The Shitennou brand Zoisite a traitor and reveal that the Moon is about to be invaded. Zoisite is killed for his betrayal, and the invasion begins (“Moon and Earth”). Queen Beryl claims that the people of the Moon are trying to take over the Earth. Endymion and the Senshi jump into action to defend the princess and queen. Princess Serenity tries to stop the fighting, and Endymion dies protecting her from Beryl. In her grief, Princess Serenity kills herself with his sword. Queen Serenity uses all of her power to seal Metalia and the Moon away.

Moon demands that Beryl return Tuxedo Mask. Beryl introduces him as Endymion, who now calls himself “the Dark Kingdom’s strongest soldier”. Endymion attacks the Senshi. He appears to be affectionate toward Sailor Moon, but he uses the opportunity to choke her and demands the Ginzuishou. Moon begs him to come back to his senses, but to no avail. She begins to cry, and her tears begin to shine and solidify into the Ginzuishou. Endymion advances to seize the Ginzuishou. Sailor Moon takes up the holy sword and fights Endymion. She remembers Mamoru’s words and finds the strength to strike Endymion down (“Fate”). She tells him that she loves him and stabs herself with the holy sword with the hope that they will be reborn and fall in love again.

Venus rallies the rest of the Senshi to give their lives to awaken Sailor Moon (“Resolution”). Sailor Moon wakes up within Metalia. She hears her friends’ encouragement before the last of their power leaves them and they die. Metalia taunts her and Moon begins to worry about how to release the Ginzuishou’s power. Mamoru wakes up and discovers that the zoisite stone saved his life. He praises Sailor Moon for doing the right thing and vows to help her. Moon overcomes her doubts with Mamoru’s support and releases the power of the Ginzuishou (“Prayer”). At first, Metalia absorbs its power. Moon hears the Senshi’s voices and continues to pray. The moon shines brighter, and Moon gathers enough power to Metalia away.

Metalia disappears, leaving Mamoru and Sailor Moon sitting together. Moon begins to mourn her friends. They reappear, brought back by the Ginzuishou's power, and share a tearful reunion. Queen Serenity’s spirit appears once more to remind Sailor Moon that the power of the Ginzuishou is within her and asks her to remember that she is still an ordinary girl (“Don’t Forget”).[[/folder]]

Lemures Baba and the Lemures introduce the audience to a video game exhibition show ("Overture ~ Welcome! To the Game Show!"). The Inner Senshi attend the show in their civilian forms and play the video games, including a cell phone game called "I Am Your Cupid". As a promotion for a new otome game called "Pandemic Love", a group called the Pandemic 4, who play the love interests in the game, perform a song ("Erosion Boy"). The starstruck girls are sent home with free copies of the game.

Once everyone has left, the Lemures and Pandemic 4 regroup. The latter group reveals that they are the Shitennou, the Dark Kingdom's four generals. The Dark Kingdom plans to use video games to steal people's energy ("Revival! Queen of Tragedy").[[/folder]]

A fight ensues and the Senshi are knocked down by the Shitennou after dealing with three of their minions. However, they are saved by the arrival of Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury, who happily attacks the man who played with her heart. She is knocked away by Queen Beryl. Sailor Moon demands to know who she is, and the queen presents herself before attacking the Senshi. Sailor Star Fighter steps in the way to protect Sailor Moon, and Sailor Star Healer and Sailor Star Maker move to protect Sailor Star Fighter. The group seems in great peril but Queen Beryl’s attack is blocked by Sailor Pluto and the newly awakened Sailor Saturn, who uses her powers to render the queen and her followers unconscious ("To a Brand-New World"). Sailor Galaxia appears and sends the members of the Dark Kingdom back to the base. The Sailor Starlights recognize the one who destroyed their home world, and thus the Senshi learn the identity of their new enemy. They face off against her, but Galaxia quickly overpowers everyone and prepares to take their Star Seeds until she is interrupted by the arrival of Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon. She tells everyone not to lose hope, and Sailor Galaxia is forced to retreat as Princess Kakyuu finally reveals herself to her loyal Starlights, who are moved to tears at her return ("Toki Michite Kourin (The Time Has Come)"). The princess joins forces with Sailor Moon, who welcomes her.

Galaxia arrives, unimpressed with the power of the Silver Crystal. She taunts Moon with the threat of destroying the Solar System. The Starlights arrive and tell everyone that Galaxia is responsible for destroying their home planet. They attack her, but Galaxia and the Animamates shrug it off. Galaxia is pleased with the conflict before her. She calls the Starlights "trash" as the rest of the Senshi move to protect them. The Starlights try to tell Moon that Galaxia cannot be reasoned with. They tell her about their home, Planet Kinmoku, a peaceful planet which was ruled by the compassionate Princess Kakyuu until the planet was destroyed by Galaxia. The Starlights followed Kakyuu's star seed to Earth. Galaxia and the Dark Kingdom continue to attack. Galaxia is about to take the Senshi's Star Seeds when Chibi-Chibi floats in, urging them to not lose hope. The Starlights catch a familiar scent - it is Princess Kakyuu, who reveals herself at last ("Toki Michite Kourin (The Time Has Come)").

Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion dance together at a Moon Kingdom ball ("Waltz ni Koi wo Nosete (Love On a Waltz)"). The Sailor Senshi and Shitennou are also seen dancing together. The festivities are interrupted by news that Queen Beryl has manipulated the people of Earth into attacking the Moon Kingdom. Endymion attempts to rally everyone to fight off Queen Beryl, but the Shitennou attack the Inner Senshi as Queen Beryl confirms that they are under her control. The flashback ends when Usagi doesn't want to remember her sad past anymore and runs away.

Luna and Artemis go looking for Usagi in a park, but don't find her, so they set off to find the other four Senshi. Usagi meets up with the other senshi and wants to go to the beach, but the others are no longer so sure about going since youma have appeared again. Just then, Saitou goes backflipping past them. Minako reveals that he used to go to her school and she had a crush on him. The other girls push her into him, and he says that he remembers her as the cutest girl in school. He asks her if she likes anyone, and she answers in a rather roundabout way that he was her first love ("Namikimichi no Koi (Love On the Tree-Lined Street"). Saitou confesses that he went to the tree-lined road to see her, and he asks her to go to an amusement park with him.

Ami, Rei, and Makoto follow Minako and eavesdrop before they are discovered by Minako. Saitou introduces them to his gymnastics teammates, High School Students A, B, and C, and they pair off, leaving Usagi all alone ("Saikyou no Couple Gundan (The Strongest Couple Squad)"). The four new couples then run off to an astrology booth to have their love fortunes told. Mamoru runs into Usagi at the amusement park and briefly teases her about being alone at an amusement park. Usagi starts to cry about being left alone again, so Mamoru stays to comfort her. Mamoru offers to take Usagi to the beach once she's finished all of her summer vacation homework. She runs off crying since that won't happen until the end of summer, and Mamoru runs after her. Luna and Artemis are still looking for the senshi, but the amusement park crowds are making it difficult. Artemis complains about women being fickle and sentimental, and Luna scolds him for his out-of-date views on women ("Onna no Shinsou (The Truth About Women)"). Artemis apologizes, and they resume their search.

Leah Ruby heads to Azabu Juuban High School in order to lay the trap ("Ruby no Aka ~Yume wo Kaimasu Shima no Tabi~ (The Red of a Ruby ~A Trip to an Island to Buy Our Dreams)"). After school, the Inner Senshi are excited for their spring break. They have plans to leave tomorrow morning on a trip to Kaguya Island. They are joined by the Outer Senshi and Mamoru. Leah Ruby shows up as a tour guide and talks up how fun Kaguya Island will be. Mamoru thinks that it sounds too good to be true. Conveniently, the trip is free of charge. Leah Ruby tells everyone to meet at 6 AM the next morning so that they can arrive on Kaguya Island by boat before sunset. Everyone goes their separate ways: the Senshi and Mamoru to pack, and Leah Ruby to prepare the boat.

Inside of the comet Coatl, Dark Plasman observes that he has arrived back at the Earth, and orders his minions to prepare ("Suisei Coatl no Hibou (The Comet Coatl's Inordinate Ambition)"). Once alone, Dark Menorah sings about her plans, then the scene changes to the deck of the passenger ship, where the girls are all very excited about their trip ("Ankoku no Menorah ~ Yume wo Kaimasu Shima no Tabi (Dark Menorah ~ An Island Trip to Buy Our Dreams)5"). As they discuss the features of the ship, the captain makes a brief appearance on deck and charms the girls. After she has left, Chibiusa asks about Ami's telescope, and she explains about the rare sudden appearance of a comet. Ami then lectures at length about the nature of comets, and Usagi wonders if this comet, Coatl, might have visited the planet in the past.

Sailor Moon arrives on deck, and is soon joined by the Outer Senshi. The five Senshi battle against the invaders with the help of Tuxedo Mask ("Moonlight Justice") as Loof Merrow watches. The two easily shrug off the attacks of the Sailor Senshi, however. Even when the Inner Senshi arrive and the nine of them use Sailor Planet Attack, they remain completely unaffected. Dark Plasman arrives, recognizing Sailor Moon as the Moon Princess from the past, and uses his power to intensify the storm and destroy the ship ("Arashi no Naka no Zenshousen").

On an empty beach, Mick and Hook are amazed to see humans on their island, and wonder about what is going on now ("Natsukashii no wa Naze?"). They run away quickly as Ami, Minako, Rei, and Makoto arrive, looking for their friends. The others soon arrive, safe and sound. After a moment they are joined by the Artuka, who have changed into different costumes, and are welcomed to Kaguya Island by a performance of native music ("Toraware no Artuka"). Kraken leads everyone to an empty house where they can stay, and once alone on the beach, Selkie and Loof Merrow confirm their plans to obtain the Silver Crystal before Coatl arrives.

Back on the comet, Dark Plasman sings about the goal he has been hoping to achieve for the last 5,000 years, while at the same time Dark Menorah sings about how she has also been waiting for something ("5000nen Kaguya Shima ~Dark Plasman-iri Ver."). Dark Mirror arrives to bring her partner back to the comet, but Dark Menorah says that she needs to look for her children, as she has been waiting for this long to find them again.

Outside of the cave, Mick and Hook argue over whether the brooches they wear are shining or just reflecting the moonlight. Chibi-Usa interrupts them, and they are surprised she can understand their language. She asks where their mother is, and they reply that she has gone away, but she left them their brooches. The two sing about what they remember of their mother ("Okaa-san te Nan darou?"). Mamoru arrives and chides Chibi-Usa for being out by herself late at night. Loof Merrow emerges from the cave and claims the cats as her own, and when Chibi-Usa asks if she can understand their language, Mamoru and Loof Merrow both laugh it off as a child's fantasy. Loof Merrow and Selkie offer to show them the ruins in the cave, and they follow the cats inside.

The Inner Senshi are already in the cave, being led on a search for jewels by Cern. In the meantime, Serpen and Kraken are with the Outer Senshi for the same purpose. The two groups accidentally run into each other, and join up on a "mystery tour" of the cave, eventually meeting up with Mamoru and the others. When Minako finds a jewel, the others excitedly gather around, but are hit by an unexpected blast of vapor, which the Artuka tribe say is just harmless steam from an underwater volcano. Hotaru faints, however, and the others are concerned. An earthquake hits, forcing everyone out of the cave. Dark Menorah and Dark Mirror are waiting for them and they attack the group, but the Sailor Senshi find themselves unable to transform. The minions of Coatl are stopped when Hotaru arrives, dressed in strange clothing; she introduces herself as Kon, who protects the spirits of the island. Kon chides them for fighting, because war is foolish and unproductive and everyone should love each other, but she is interrupted by Dark Plasman ("Hitosuji no Hikari no Kokoro ~ Yabou no Kao"). Super Sailor Moon arrives and declares that she will not let him succeed, and he is stunned that she was able to transform.

On the island, the Inner Senshi and Chibi-Usa are worried because they cannot transform, they are out of food, and they do not know what to do ("Hyouchaku Shita Keredo..."). Usagi arrives with food, followed closely by Mamoru, Setsuna, and Hotaru, and they set up a picnic. Haruka and Michiru arrive, and Haruka reports to Setsuna that there is no sign of the enemy and even the comet has vanished, and they wonder if Hotaru is really all right. Mamoru wonders if the Artuka tribe can really be trusted, but Usagi insists that they are good people, since they supplied the food and did not lie about the jewels. She shows off a ruby that she had found in the cave, and the girls wonder if they should go look in the cave themselves. Just then, the cats arrive, and Chibi-Usa translates their demand that Usagi return the jewel. Usagi and Chibi-Usa argue over it, but are interrupted by the arrival of Loof Merrow and her crew, back in their pirate garb. Usagi immediately offers to return the jewel, but Loof Merrow replies that she is not interested in it (though Hook quickly snatches it back).

On the way back to the camp, Chibi-Usa pauses, upset that everyone feels the need to fight. She sings about a story her mother used to tell her and a nightmare she used to have ("Chibiusa no Umi"). Usagi and Mamoru find the group and Usagi tells Chibi-Usa that she would also like to live in a world without fighting. Serpen says that in ancient Artuka, nobody felt the need to fight, unlike modern humans. Mamoru and Usagi tell the story of Princess Kaguya, saying that since the legend survived it must have come from Artuka, and therefore the modern humans must be descendants of people of Artuka who survived the flood. Mamoru, Usagi, and Chibi-Usa set off to rejoin the others, wondering why they are the only ones who are not ill. The cats then tell Chibi-Usa that they know of the illness and have a cure for it. Serpen quickly leaves then; Mamoru and Chibi-Usa go with the cats to fetch the medicine, and Usagi goes to tell everyone else about it.

At the ruins of the temple of Artuka, Loof Merrow and her crew interrupt Dark Menorah as she awakens the Dark Crystal. Dark Mirror arrives and realizes that Loof Merrow has a fragment of the Crystal, and that is why it did not work properly. As the two of them prepare to attack the pirates, Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Chibi Moon, and the two cats arrive and join the fight ("Pinky Typhoon"). Dark Mirror and Dark Menorah once again ignore their attacks, and the former traps the two cats with her power, declaring that they hold fragments of the fourth Dark Crystal within them. Dark Menorah, however, recognizes the brooches they are wearing as fragments of her own ruby, and realizes that they are her missing children ("Yatto Aeta Ne"). Dark Menorah refuses to allow Dark Mirror to kill her children, saying she will have to be killed first. Dark Plasman arrives, saying that the children are merely rubbish, just like humans, and they all should be destroyed. Dark Menorah attacks Dark Plasman to defend the children; he and Dark Mirror both attack in unison and she dies, apologizing to her children for giving them this kind of life.

The Sailor Senshi all arrive, having managed to transform, and confront Dark Plasman. They declare that he cannot become a star because he lacks a heart, and kindness, and love. He says that he hates this solar system because it cast him off, but Sailor Chibi Moon and Tuxedo Mask point out that he did the same thing to Dark Menorah's children, and they lived on with hope. Dark Plasman replies that they simply have not known the darkness of despair, and Sailor Moon tells him that the real darkness is inside his heart. He only laughs and calls Coatl, announcing that the Earth will be destroyed soon. The Sailor Senshi refuse to let him succeed, and they begin to fight as he sings about his ambition to become a shining planet ("Gesshoku no Crime").

Sailor Chibi Moon gives Sailor Moon the Silver Pollen and she heals the Sailor Senshi of their illness. Loof Merrow decides to destroy the temple in order to also destroy the Dark Crystal, saying that preserving this beautiful planet is more important than preserving the royal bloodline of Artuka. The final battle against Dark Plasman and Dark Mirror begins ("Junketsu no Narcissism"). Loof Merrow turns the key which will bring down the temple, and the Sailor Senshi use Sailor Planet Attack to destroy the Dark Crystal. Kon's voice can be heard again then, telling Dark Plasman that he truly does not want to destroy the shine of the Earth, but he is burying his heart in darkness.

Kon tells Sailor Moon that she wanted to use her power to shine in the sky as well, and the island begins to rise up. Sailor Moon calls upon the power of sleeping Sailor Crystals throughout the galaxy, and she and Sailor Chibi Moon use Starlight Honeymoon Double Therapy Kiss to purify Dark Plasman and Dark Mirror, combining the remains of Kaguya Island with Coatl and sending both of them to the far side of the sun to become their own star. Sailor Moon declares that she is sure everyone will be able to become a star someday, as long as they keep hope in their eyes. The Sailor Senshi then all sing of how everyone is loved, and about their hope for the future ("Minna Dareka ni Aisarete").

Later, Pegasus is being tortured by the mysterious girl within Chibi-Usa's dream. Chibi-Usa begs her to stop. Many Lemures surround her bed until Sailor Pluto arrives in her nightmare and repels them, but the girl knocks the Senshi aside. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune join in the fight and, with Pluto's help, they force the enemies to flee ("Fukkatsu! Crisis Yurusumaji (Resurrection! Unforgivable Crisis)"). Tuxedo Mask arrives and is shocked to see that the Outer Senshi have been revived. The three of them argue over the unknown girl and whether she is a threat, and they conclude that she can only be Sailor Saturn. Tuxedo Mask demands that they remain inactive until he says otherwise, but thanks them for protecting his daughter.

Later, Pegasus is being tortured by the mysterious girl within Chibi-Usa. Chibi-Usa begs her to stop. Many Lemures surround her bed until Sailor Pluto, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune arrive in her nightmare and fight them off ("Fukkatsu! Crisis Yurusumaji (Resurrection! Unforgivable Crisis)"). Tuxedo Mask arrives and is shocked to see that the Outer Senshi have been revived. They inform him that baby Hotaru has disappeared, and not only does the mysterious girl have the same energy as she does, she also has the pendant that Sailor Pluto gave to Hotaru. They conclude that the enemy must have abducted Hotaru, erased her memory, and made her grow. This girl is Sailor Saturn, a threat to them all. Tuxedo Mask demands that they remain inactive until he says otherwise, but thanks them for protecting his daughter.

Michiru and Haruka perform a violin and piano duet ("Overture ~Haruka to Michiru no Ensoukai~ (Haruka and Michiru's Concert)"). The Three Lights then take the stage and perform their own song ("Chasin' After You"). The MC arrives and thanks the performers for participating in the Azabu Juuban Municipal High School Music Festival. Michiru, Haruka, and the Three Lights congratulate each other. When Haruka shakes Seiya's hand, she feels the aura of the stars emanating from him. As the two groups go their separate ways, Haruka ponders who those three might really be. The MC introduces the next performers: The Chou Very Bad Mates ("It's Chou Very Bad"). During the performance, Shadow Bee uses a pair of scissors to cut the electricity. The project manager, Usagi, discovers a fire and Seiya extinguishes it for her. Makoto, Minako, Rei, and Ami also discover that one of the wires has been cut. Rei blames Usagi for not being careful enough and the girls start arguing. The Chou Very Bad Mates complain about the situation, but Usagi tells them to go wait either backstage or at the nearby aquarium.

They hear Chibi-Usa scream, and MC Fly enters and tells them to hurry to the roof. Although Usagi is confused about this other MC, she quickly follows the other girls. On the roof, Chibi-Usa is fighting the shadows until Sailor Pluto, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune arrive and drive them off ("Fukitsu na Kaze ~ Fukkatsu wa Higeki no Zenchou (An Ominous Wind ~ Revival Is A Sign of Tragedy)"). The Sailor Animamates appear and overpower the Outer Senshi until Sailor Saturn and the Inner Senshi join them. Sailor Buttress arrives and summons MC Fly, who appears in his real form and fells all the Sailor Senshi at once. Super Sailor Moon shows up and introduces herself. MC Fly introduces himself in return and presents the Sailor Senshi from Shadow Galactica. The girls are shocked to learn that their new enemies are Sailor Senshi with their own Sailor Crystals who work for Sailor Galaxia. MC Fly and Sailor Moon begin fighting, then both sides use group attacks against one another. The Shadow Galactica members seem to be more powerful, but the Sailor Starlights appear and Sailor Star Fighter uses her powers to repeal the entire evil army. The Senshi of this Solar System and the Sailor Starlights introduce themselves and their missions. Although defensive at first, they all agree to work together for the common cause of protecting those they love ("Sailor War Supreme"). Chibi-Usa reappears and tries to warn to others about a danger in the 30th Century, but before she can finish, Sailor Galaxia arrives and attacks the girl, and she collapses.

Usagi is deeply shaken and begs her friends not to look for her anymore. Mercury and Mars realize they can hear her and each other but can't find one another. Usagi tells them to give up on her and save themselves. The girls firmly disagree because as long as Usagi lives, their dream will live on with her. Despite Usagi's wishes, they stand by their decision and reaffirm their everlasting love and devotion to Usagi. Galaxia appears and kills the remaining Senshi. Elsewhere, as Sailor Pluto dies, her voice reaches her princess and tells her that even if the world disappears, her love will survive ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Faced with the deaths of all of her companions, Usagi cries out in grief and releases a burst of power.

After both groups conclude they cannot understand each other, Sailor Moon tells her friends that even though she is afraid, she is ready to fight, and Galaxia orders her troops to attack. A battle ensues, and the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask use their powers to destroy Galaxia's minions. Sailor Galaxia repeats that only one of them can survive this battle, and Eternal Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon unite their powers into one final blast ("La Moon"). Although visibly affected by the attack, Sailor Galaxia still stands proudly; she declares that fighting will always call for more fighting before she flies away laughing. The Sailor Senshi observe the night sky as a multitude of shooting stars fly by. Sailor Moon remarks that those shooting stars are each someone's dreams, and as her friends call her name, she says that she wants to keep being only called simply "Usagi" as it reflects what she really wants to be: a normal girl. She believes that those moments when she is just that simple girl are the ones in which she shines the most. The Sailor Senshi all sit together and reflect upon the battle they just faced ("Densetsu Seitan").

A prince and a princess fight three dark figures, the Black Knights, amidst a larger battle. The prince drives the knights away, but is wounded. He urges the princess to leave him, but the princess tells him that she can endure losing everything as long as they are together. Their romantic moment is cut short as the knights come back and prepare to kill them. However, a team of four female knights, the Holy Warriors of Orleans, appear to save the day ("Orleans no Sei Senshi"). After the knights are defeated, a director calls "cut", and the whole thing is reavealed to be just a rehearsal for a TV special to be broadcast on Ginga TV during summer vacation. The Black Knights are being played by the famous new idol group, the Three Lights, the prince and princess roles by Haruka and Michiru, and the Holy Warriors by Usagi, Minako, Makoto, and Ami.

Sailor Galaxia finishes her ritual to awaken the one she calls the "Queen of Hatred." The queen’s voice asks who has awakened her from her deep slumber, and Galaxia requests that the queen return in order to fill the Galaxy with her hatred and dark appetite once more. The voice seems interested, and Sailor Galaxia uses her sword to break the queen free from her prison.

In a flashback, a young girl struggles through a blizzard before finally collapsing, overcome by the cold. She takes out her last match, saying that until the match dies out, she wants to be left alone to dream. The voice of the queen replies that she cannot grant that wish; she says the girl must have realized by now that the world is too polluted and filthy. The girl refuses to believe this, but the queen reminds her that she only has this single match to keep her warm and that when it goes out she will die alone. The girl insists that she doesn't care, and though the queen insists that there are no dreams left on this planet, she lights the match, saying that there is still the fire of hope. Even as she watches the small flame of the match burn low, she repeats that she believes in dreams, and only a few moments later the flame goes out and she collapses. The queen observes that the girl who dreamed of a beautiful future only became a frozen corpse, and all that remained was a coffin of darkness. She curses the rotten Earth, and the rebirth of the Queen of Darkness, Queen Beryl, truly begins ("Yami no Hitsugi").

Back at school, Usagi, Haruka, Makoto, Minako, and Rei are in the gymnasium playing a basketball game against five girls from another school (who are the Sailor Animamates in disguise), while the other girls and Chibi Chibi look on. Usagi’s team wins the game, but a teacher appears and yells at them for not going home as they had been told to do. One of the girls asks him if he found out who the culprit was, but he says he hasn’t. The girl explains that the day before, students who had stayed late after school were attacked by an unknown individual, and now she is frightened. The teacher tells them to report any suspicious people to him and sends them all home. Everyone leaves except for Ami, who meets Saitou Izou, a handsome senior and member of the basketball team. He begins to flirt with her, and though Ami is shy at first, she seems easily taken in by his charms ("Itsuwari no Forevermore"). While they sing, the other girls come back and enjoy the romantic scene.

A fight ensues and the Senshi are knocked down by the Shitennou after dealing with three of their minions. However, they are saved by the arrival of Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury, who happily attacks the man who played with her heart. She is knocked away by Queen Beryl. Sailor Moon demands to know who she is, and the queen presents herself before attacking the Senshi. Sailor Star Fighter steps in the way to protect Sailor Moon, and Sailor Star Healer and Sailor Star Maker move to protect Sailor Star Fighter. The group seems in great peril but Queen Beryl’s attack is blocked by Sailor Pluto and the newly awakened Sailor Saturn, who uses her powers to render the queen and her followers unconscious ("To a Brand-New World"). Sailor Galaxia appears and sends the members of the Dark Kingdom back to the base. The Sailor Starlights recognize the one who destroyed their home world, and thus the Senshi learn the identity of their new enemy. They face off against her, but Galaxia quickly overpowers everyone and prepares to take their Star Seeds until she is interrupted by the arrival of Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon. She tells everyone not to lose hope, and Sailor Galaxia is forced to retreat as Princess Kakyuu finally reveals herself to her loyal Starlights, who are moved to tears at her return ("Toki Michite Kourin"). The princess joins forces with Sailor Moon, who welcomes her.

In Shadow Galactica, the Shitennou and Endymion sing about their queen and she rejoices at having finally found an appropriate husband in Endymion; meanwhile, in Galaxia’s throne room, she and her followers mock the foolishness of the Dark Kingdom, who are merely puppets in their plan. The two groups rejoin and rejoice at the defeat of their mutual enemies ("Tenkuu no Utage"). Kunzite asks Sailor Galaxia if she will really keep her promise to let the Dark Kingdom have the Earth. The Animamates assure them that they would gladly give them a planet like this, but remind them that their plan was a failure; Kunzite points out that their repeated attacks also failed. Kyaosu explains that in short, both sides failed, but they angrily remind him that he was the one to blame for that. Galaxia warns all of them that she will not be as forgiving of failure next time before she sends them off. She then asks Queen Beryl about her secret weapon, Endymion; Beryl reveals he has become her personal puppet and that she plans to use him against Usagi. Sailor Galaxia says the most important thing is to get rid of Princess Kakyuu before dealing with Sailor Moon and her allies, and she sends Beryl to complete this task.

Princess Kakyuu, now reunited with her allies, explains to them that she has been in search of the Light of Hope and that they must now protect Sailor Moon. Seiya eagerly agrees and says he’ll defend this planet with his life. Yaten and especially Taiki disagree and say that they must return to Kinmoku. Kakyuu asks that they believe in her once more and unite their heart with the Silver Crystal ("Kakyuu-ouhi to Three Lights"). Usagi arrives with Chibi Chibi and congratulates Seiya and the others for having finally found their princess, but she says they should return to their home planet. Seiya protests that the Earth will be destroyed, but Usagi refuses to believe that. Princess Kakyuu insists that Usagi is the only one who can save the galaxy, as she is the princess who holds the Silver Crystal. The Three lights are shocked to learn this, but Chibi Chibi tells them that they must believe even if it is difficult. Kakyuu then thanks her, for it was her light that guided her to Earth. Usagi uses this moment to ask Chibi Chibi just who she is, but they are interrupted by a television broadcast of Galaxia’s threat to humanity; her announcement is followed by Queen Beryl, who says she will give Endymion back to the Sailor Senshi if they eliminate Princess Kakyuu. Princess Kakyuu says she will go to meet the enemy, despite Taiki's protests, because she cannot let this planet or the Light of Hope disappear.

As the rain pours down, the girls look upon the destruction of their city, and resolve to fight no matter the scale of their enemy. Haruka and Michiru separate from the group, and Sailor Moon appears to them and assures that they will protect the city so dear to them. Kyaosu suddenly appears and reveals that Ginga TV’s headquarters is the entrance to the enemy’s base and that the exit is the center of the galaxy, the Galaxy Cauldron. The girls are immediately suspicious of him, but he swears he only wants to help them defeat Galaxia. He says he will guide them to the enemy’s base but they must first decided who will go fight and in what order. To this end, he organises a game contest assisted by his three shadows ("Mizusakiannainin no Game"). The girls agree but refuse to let Usagi participate in case it’s a trap. The game is a scavenger hunt. The girls pair up in team and each team must send one of Kyaosu’s shadows to retrieve a certain object hidden in the audience. Once all three objects are found, the girls are sent to Ginga TV. They ask that Usagi have faith in them and she is left alone with Kyaosu who as yet another special game in store for her. He asks that she tell him in ten seconds all the memories she can’t forget. She takes too long to answer, but Kyaosu still says she can trust him and asks if she’s prepared, then sends her to Ginga TV.

The Inner Senshi battle the Sailor Animamates, but when Galaxia appears, they are all overpowered. Still, they refuse to join with the Shadow Galactica as they do not care to give their lives to protect their princess. Sailor Galaxia wonders why she is so important to them, and they say that she represents their dream, a Senshi like Galaxia who doesn’t believe in anything will never understand that. This greatly angers Sailor Galaxia, who summons Sailor Moon, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune just so they can witness her killing their allies. As they die, the Inner Senshi sing about their love for Usagi ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Galaxia delivers the final blow and the Senshi disappear. Sailor Moon is completely devastated and blames herself for her friends’ deaths, but Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune tell her to stop crying as it won’t bring them back. Sailor Star Maker says they can’t possibly beat Galaxia, but Sailor Neptune tells her that it’s because of that kind of mindset that they were unable to protect their own princess. Sailor Star Maker admits that they are right and that the Starlights have no one to protect anymore.

Sailor Galaxia accepts and teleports the others away so that she is left alone with her two opponents. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune fight with all their strength but they are no match for her, and before she can finish them off her two Animamates arrive and request the finishing blow. Before they can attack, though, they are stopped by the Shitennou and Queen Beryl. The queen asks Galaxia if she was only revived to be used as a puppet. Sailor Galaxia admits without fear that they were all just her tools. The Shitennou say that they are Endymion's guard and Queen Beryl’s knights and therefore are more than glad to give up their lives for their beloved queen and planet. Sailor Galaxia replies that they should just be quiet and die, to which they answer that they will, as long as she joins them in death. Beryl is shocked by their loyalty and devotion, and they add that dying for her has always been their dream, and that because they killed their master, Sailor Galaxia and her minions have become their worst enemy. Infuriated, the Animamates attack them, but the Shitennou show they are more powerful. The Animamates ask their leader for help, but Sailor Galaxia simply dismisses their weakness and finishes them off before killing the Shitennou herself. Queen Beryl tries attacking her but is knocked down, and as Sailor Galaxia prepares to give her a dignified death, she is stopped by Sailor Saturn and Sailor Pluto. Beryl wonders why they saved her. Pluto answers that she did because they share the same unrequited love ("Onna no Ronsou"). Sailor Saturn then uses her powers to allow the queen to escape to the other end of space-time.

Sailor Galaxia says the people of this planet keep entertaining her. Sailor Pluto prepares to attack, but Sailor Uranus says she’s interested in serving Galaxia and asks Sailor Neptune if she will join her. Sailor Neptune says she would follow her even to hell. Sailor Galaxia observes that she is pleased to see that there are still some Senshi with brains and takes their Star Seeds. The two Senshi then appear with Galactica Bracelets on their wrists, ready to attack their former allies. Sailor Pluto cannot believe what is happening and asks why they did such a thing; they answer by saying that the others should know it is their way of fighting ("Orleans no Sei Senshi ~ Uranus - Neptune no Uragiri"). Sailor Galaxia is more than pleased with this display of betrayal, and summons Sailor Moon so she can witness her friends killing each other. As Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn die, they beg Sailor Moon to not stop believing in people. Sailor Galaxia gloats that her bracelets have turned Sailor Moon's former allies into her slaves and she orders them to kill Sailor Moon. At the last moment, the two turn against Sailor Galaxia and blast her with their bracelets in order to get her Star Seed, but discover that she doesn’t have one. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are shocked, and Sailor Galaxia calls them idiots before striking them with a deadly blast of power. As they die, they entrust their princess to the care of the Sailor Starlights, and hold hands one last time before disappearing.

Tuxedo Mask says his mission is to destroy the world, and for that, he must kill Sailor Moon. However, as the Starlights try to intervene, Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon arrives and says that they must stand back and let Sailor Moon act alone as this battle will determine the fate of the world. Tuxedo Mask says that all the endless suffering will end with Sailor Moon’s death, but Sailor Moon is not ready to die yet and she sends a powerful blast at her opponent. She says she loves this world and that’s why she will once again fight to get her friends and Mamoru back ("Oitsumerarete"). She kills the fake Tuxedo Mask and Chibi Chibi reappears. She reveals herself to be the Light of Hope and takes Sailor Moon and the Starlights to the birthplace of all stars, the Galaxy Cauldron. She explains the story of the past: the source of all evil in the galaxy, Chaos, was born and threatened to plunge the world into his darkness. In order to stop him, the strongest Sailor Senshi in the galaxy, Sailor Galaxia, imprisoned him into her own body. As she felt him corrupting her, she sent her Star Seed to other end of the galaxy, where Chaos would not find it. Chibi Chibi explains that she the personification of this Star Seed and that now, without her, Galaxia has become a tyrant.

Sailor Moon and the Sailor Starlights arrive. Galaxia is glad to see Sailor Moon finally ready to fight but she explains that unlike Sailor Galaxia, her power does not come from hatred, but rather from her love and faith in her friends and their future. Sailor Galaxia shows them all the Star Seeds she has collected throughout the galaxy and says they'll have to fight to get them back. The Starlights decide to avenge their princess and entrust all their hope for the future to Sailor Moon and her Crystal. They combine all of their powers in one blast and manage to knock Galaxia away. Their joy is cut short when Galaxia reappears in a darker version of her sailor fuku. She attacks them, but Sailor Moon is convinced that this appearance is neither a real Sailor Senshi nor the real Galaxia, and she calls out to Galaxia, asking for her light. Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon answers her prayers and appears to persuade the corrupted Galaxia to give up all the fighting ("Mou Ii no"). Galaxia refuses to listen and attacks her, but Chibi Chibi flies away.

She begins to hear the voices of her friends cheering her on and telling her not to give up. They all appear before her, and Sailor Mercury explains that Galaxia’s light released and guided them to her. Sailor Pluto says that no one can destroy the place where the stars are born and Sailor Mars adds that so long as this place exists, they will keep on living and that nothing can change that. They then hear the voices of Mamoru and Princess Kakyuu encouraging them all to fight, and Sailor Moon gives up all of her fear and hesitation. The Sailor Senshi are once again ready to fight to save the Galaxy ("La Fatalité Sei Senshi"). They unite all of their powers in one final blow and manage to finally destroy Chaos.

The victorious Sailor Senshi are amazed at the sudden flood of light. Princess Kakyuu appears and explains that they are all the stolen Sailor Crystals returning to their home planets. The Starlights wonder if it is due to the Silver Crystal's power, but Tuxedo Mask arrives and explains that it is due to the union of all the Sailor Crystals. Sailor Moon falls into the arms of her beloved, and he tells her that the reason why all of their enemies seek her power is because they really seek the feeling that she gets from being loved by him and all of her friends. Sailor Moon understands that this is also why everybody wants to be one, because that is the way they all began, and Queen Beryl and even Chaos are also part of it. She is confident that they will be able to create a future for themselves, because everyone has their own Star Seed. That is why they must keep going forward: so they can create a story of love that lasts for all eternity ("Densetsu Seitan"). Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask stand together, and all present kneel before the royal couple.

The teachers discuss their plan and engage in some self-referential humor while alone in the room. They hide as Ami approaches, trying to sort through some feelings ("Dream Yume wa Ookiku"). The gym teacher, Tony Chiba, enters and attempts to converse with Ami in English. He and Kyoto-sensei encourage Ami to consider studying abroad. The rest of the group enters and everyone begins to congratulate Ami on studying abroad. Usagi is sullen for a moment, but she cheers up and congratulates Ami as well.

On top of the school roof, Usagi reminisces about Mamoru ("Gondola no Koibito-tachi"). She then sings about her loneliness and longing for Mamoru, while Seiya joins her and sings of his desire to be by her side, protecting her ("I Miss You"). Seiya asks why she is there all by herself, and she replies that she is worried something horrible is coming. They are interrupted by Yaten and Taiki arrive with Kyaosu in tow. Kyaosu claims to be on their side, and eventually, they leave him alone on the rooftop. Endymion enters and the two begin to discuss their plan, only to be ambushed by the four Inner Senshi, Uranus, and Neptune. They attempt to attack Endymion, who knocks them down. Before he can attack again, Super Sailor Moon enters. Mercury and Mars both attack him, at which point, Moon realizes that it's Endymion, who introduces himself as "Shadow Galactica's Ultimate Soldier".

Seiya eagerly agrees and says he’ll defend this planet with his life. Yaten and especially Taiki disagree and say that they must return to Kinmoku. Kakyuu asks that they believe in her once more and unite their heart with the Silver Crystal ("Kakyuu-ouhi to Three Lights"). Usagi arrives with Chibi Chibi and congratulates Seiya and the others for having finally found their princess, but she says they should return to their home planet. Seiya protests that the Earth will be destroyed, but Usagi refuses to believe that. Princess Kakyuu insists that Usagi is the only one who can save the galaxy, as she is the princess who holds the Silver Crystal. The Three lights are shocked to learn this, but Chibi Chibi tells them that they must believe even if it is difficult. Kakyuu then thanks her, for it was her light that guided her to Earth. Usagi uses this moment to ask Chibi Chibi just who she is, but they are interrupted by a television broadcast of Galaxia’s threat to humanity; her announcement is followed by Queen Beryl, who lets Usagi know that she has Endymion and wants Usagi to face her alone. Princess Kakyuu says she will go to meet the enemy, despite Taiki's protests, because she cannot let this planet or the Light of Hope disappear.

As it rains, the girls look upon the destruction of their city, and resolve to fight no matter the scale of their enemy. Ami then enters, already transformed into Sailor Mercury, and the senshi decide to go ahead and fight, just so long as one of them stays alive for Usagi. Elsewhere, Usagi has already transformed into Super Sailor Moon and is preparing to sneak away to fight ("Tabidachi"). Kyaosu appears to Moon and reveals that Ginga TV’s headquarters is the entrance to the enemy’s base and that the exit is the center of the galaxy, the Galaxy Cauldron. She is suspicious of him, but he swears he only wants to help her defeat Galaxia. He also reveals that the Light of Hope is Galaxia's weakness, and that the Endymion she has seen is a fake. In return, Moon gets him to agree to save one of her friends.

The Inner Senshi battle the Sailor Animamates, but when Galaxia appears, they are all overpowered. Still, they refuse to join with the Shadow Galactica as they do not care to give their lives to protect their princess. Sailor Galaxia wonders why she is so important to them, and they say that she represents their dream, a Senshi like Galaxia who doesn’t believe in anything will never understand that. This greatly angers Sailor Galaxia, who summons Sailor Moon, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune just so they can witness her killing their allies. As they die, the Inner Senshi sing about their love for Usagi ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Galaxia delivers the final blow and the Senshi disappear. Sailor Moon is completely devastated and blames herself for her friends’ deaths, but Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune tell her to stop crying as it won’t bring them back. Sailor Star Maker says they can’t possibly beat Galaxia, but Sailor Neptune tells her that it’s because of that kind of mindset that they were unable to protect their own princess. Sailor Star Maker admits that they are right and that the Starlights have no one to protect anymore.

Sailor Galaxia accepts and teleports the others away so that she is left alone with her two opponents. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune fight with all their strength but they are no match for her. Before she can finish them off, the Animamates arrive and request the finishing blow. Before they can attack, though, they are stopped by Queen Beryl. The queen asks Galaxia if she was only revived to be used as a puppet. Sailor Galaxia admits without fear that she was just her tool. Sailor Galaxia replies that they should just be quiet and die, to which she answers that she will, as long as she joins her in death. Beryl declares that Galaxia and her minions have become her enemy. Infuriated, the Animamates attack her. The Animamates ask their leader for help, but Sailor Galaxia simply dismisses their weakness and finishes them off. Queen Beryl tries attacking her but is knocked down, and as Sailor Galaxia prepares to give her a dignified death, she is stopped by Sailor Saturn and Sailor Pluto. Beryl wonders why they saved her. Pluto answers that she did because they share the same unrequited love ("Onna no Ronsou"). Sailor Saturn then uses her powers to allow the queen to escape to the other end of space-time.

Sailor Galaxia says the people of this planet keep entertaining her. Sailor Pluto prepares to attack, but Sailor Uranus says she’s interested in serving Galaxia and asks Sailor Neptune if she will join her. Sailor Neptune says she would follow her even to hell. Sailor Galaxia observes that she is pleased to see that there are still some Senshi with brains and takes their Star Seeds. The two Senshi then appear with Galactica Bracelets on their wrists, ready to attack their former allies. Sailor Pluto cannot believe what is happening and asks why they did such a thing; they answer by saying that the others should know it is their way of fighting ("Orleans no Sei Senshi ~ Uranus - Neptune no Uragiri"). Sailor Galaxia is more than pleased with this display of betrayal, and summons Sailor Moon so she can witness her friends killing each other. As Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn die, they beg Sailor Moon to not stop believing in people. Sailor Galaxia gloats that her bracelets have turned Sailor Moon's former allies into her slaves and she orders them to kill Sailor Moon. At the last moment, the two turn against Sailor Galaxia and blast her with their bracelets in order to get her Star Seed, but discover that she doesn’t have one. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are shocked, and Sailor Galaxia calls them idiots before striking them with a deadly blast of power. As they die, they entrust their princess to the care of the Sailor Starlights, and hold hands one last time before disappearing.

Sailor Moon. Sailor Mercury, and the Sailor Starlights arrive. Galaxia is glad to see Sailor Moon finally ready to fight but she explains that unlike Sailor Galaxia, her power does not come from hatred, but rather from her love and faith in her friends and their future. Sailor Galaxia shows them all the Star Seeds she has collected throughout the galaxy and says they'll have to fight to get them back. The Starlights decide to avenge their princess and entrust all their hope for the future to Sailor Moon and her Crystal. They combine all of their powers in one blast and manage to knock Galaxia away. Their joy is cut short when Galaxia reappears in a darker version of her sailor fuku. She attacks them, but Sailor Moon is convinced that this appearance is neither a real Sailor Senshi nor the real Galaxia, and she calls out to Galaxia, asking for her light. Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon answers her prayers and appears to persuade the corrupted Galaxia to give up all the fighting ("Mou Ii no"). Galaxia refuses to listen and attacks her, but Chibi Chibi flies away.

She begins to hear the voices of her friends cheering her on and telling her not to give up. They all appear before her, and Sailor Mercury explains that Galaxia’s light released and guided them to her. Sailor Pluto says that no one can destroy the place where the stars are born and Sailor Mars adds that so long as this place exists, they will keep on living and that nothing can change that. They then hear the voices of Mamoru and Princess Kakyuu encouraging them all to fight, and Sailor Moon gives up all of her fear and hesitation. The Sailor Senshi are once again ready to fight to save the Galaxy ("La Fatalité Sei Senshi"). They unite all of their powers in one final blow and manage to finally destroy Chaos.

The victorious Sailor Senshi are amazed at the sudden flood of light. Princess Kakyuu appears and explains that they are all the stolen Sailor Crystals returning to their home planets. The Starlights wonder if it is due to the Silver Crystal's power, but Tuxedo Mask arrives and explains that it is due to the union of all the Sailor Crystals. Sailor Moon falls into the arms of her beloved, and he tells her that the reason why all of their enemies seek her power is because they really seek the feeling that she gets from being loved by him and all of her friends. Sailor Moon understands that this is also why everybody wants to be one, because that is the way they all began, and Queen Beryl and even Chaos are also part of it. She is confident that they will be able to create a future for themselves, because everyone has their own Star Seed. That is why they must keep going forward: so they can create a story of love that lasts for all eternity ("Densetsu Seitan"). The company then sings "Double Moonlight Romance".[[/folder]]

Usagi stands by herself on the roof of Juuban Municipal High School in the evening. She feels like everyone is happy except her; her love, Mamoru, has gone to America to study, but hasn't written or called her. Setsuna finds her and kindly tries to console her. However, although Usagi imagines Mamoru's voice, she is still troubled ("Shadow On My Sweet Memories"). Usagi comments that Setsuna is very understanding. Setsuna, clearly nursing private feelings, tells Usagi that as long as one has a true love, one can keep living. Suddenly, falling stars pierce the night sky, and thunder crashes. Usagi and Setsuna are perturbed.

Galaxia revives Queen Beryl, the Queen of Darkness, saying that she needs her hatred and dark desire. Beryl sings about her former glory, and how she turned to rule the darkness after losing her love ("Yami no Hitsugi"). King Endymion approaches Beryl, saying that he has wanted to see her, and explaining that he is the future form of the man she loves. Beryl, however, does not easily forgive him for abandoning her for Princess Serenity in the past. Endymion insists that he is now older and wiser. Galaxia shows herself and kneels before Beryl, explaining that she is the one who revived her and returned Endymion to her. She encourages Beryl to carry out her revenge against Sailor Moon and take back her planet. Beryl, now convinced of Galaxia and Endymion's sincerity, eagerly agrees. Galaxia also presents Beryl with three servants: the Amazon Trio.

In the school courtyard, Usagi and her friends (Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, Haruka, and Michiru) exercise, with the enthusiasm of youth ("Seishun no Shoumi Kigen"). Their new P.E. teacher, Mantle Chiba (actually Endymion), arrives to encourage them. Usagi is shocked by how similar he looks to Mamoru, but the others tell her that the resemblance is all in her head. Mantle tries to convince everyone to practice riding unicycles, but they think that is not very cool. Chibi Chibi and a young clown ride in on unicycles of their own. The clown tries to convey why she is there through charades, but things are only cleared up when Hotaru arrives with a flier for the Dead Moon Circus from the Amazon, which is opening in town tomorrow. The crack of a whip heralds the stars of the circus, the Amazon Trio: Tiger's Eye, Hawk's Eye, and Fisheye. They introduce themselves and explain that they are looking for new stars for their show ("Amazon Kara Circus Dan ga Yatte Kita"). Everyone is excited, and Mantle encourages his students to audition. Haruka and Michiru, however, think the situation is suspicious, and decline to participate.

The Amazon Trio meet at their circus tent and discuss their targets: the Inner Senshi, who all have beautiful dreams. They sing that it does not matter who they serve, as long as they can search for beautiful dreams to become human ("Amazon Trio no Yume Sagashi"). They and their Pierrot minions practice their show. Beryl contacts them by cell phone and tells them not to harm the Moon Princess, because that is her grudge to settle.

Mantle Chiba leads Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako into the tent, but strangely, the performers are not anywhere to be found, and Mantle soon disappears as well. As the Amazon Trio watch from the shadows, Rei senses a presence that feels like animals. Everyone is creeped out and decides to leave, but suddenly the lights go out and evil laughter is heard. When light returns, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako find themselves strapped to the walls. The Amazon Trio and their allies emerge. They welcome the Senshi to their dark dream, which is inescapable ("Muma no Odori"). The Inner Senshi are freed, but fall under the influence of the Dead Moon Circus and Queen Beryl, who stops by briefly to look over their catch.

Afterwards, the sky goes dark; Pluto says that the Space-Time Door is opening. Sailor Chibi Moon emerges, announcing that in the 30th Century, her papa suddenly disappeared. Suddenly, Sailor Saturn arrives, telling Usagi to take "Small Lady" and escape, because the Outer Senshi will deal with this. The four are disturbed that the situation is dire enough for Saturn to awaken, and Saturn confirms that the Earth, Moon, and entire Solar System are in danger of destruction. They resolve to stop the danger and protect their princess ("Kokoro Tabanete Makin' For the Right"). They teleport away.

Queen Beryl (still flanked by Tuxedo Mask and Endymion) sings about her her intention to smash the light; meanwhile, Galaxia sings about her disdain for Queen Beryl, and how she is only using her for her own ends ("Yami koso Utsukushii ~ Galaxia no Iradachi ~"). Galaxia commands Beryl to hurry and go slaughter everyone, taking their Star Seeds - with the Light of Hope around, they can waste no time. The Amazon Trio assure Galaxia that they have a two-part plan. However, everyone wants to know who Chibi Chibi is, if she scares Galaxia so much. Galaxia refuses to tell them and leaves, frustrating the Amazon Trio to no end. Beryl and her two beaus depart. The Trio discuss their plan to serve Galaxia so she will give them people with beautiful dreams, but then they realize that Chibi Chibi herself might be the perfect target for them. They resolve not to lose.

Elsewhere, Chibiusa is upset because the 20th Century is such a terrible state, and she resolves to save her superior 30th Century timeline ("Chibiusa no Kokoroiki").

After the show, Usagi emerges from Ginga TV, upset that she was the only one dropped. She assumes the others are off to Hawaii by now. Chibiusa tells Usagi that she followed the light, and it disappeared in the TV station; the fact that this quiz show was happening here as well is suspicious. Haruka, Michiru, and Hotaru arrive to confirm those suspicions, saying that those who won the quiz show were brainwashed. Setsuna also says that there is a hole in time and space at the TV station - it is absorbing energy and getting bigger, and will destroy the city if left unchecked. They all resolve to sneak into the station and put a stop to the situation ("Tekichi wa Ginga TV Kyoku!").

Elsewhere, the four Inner Senshi, Uranus, and Neptune face off against the Amazon Trio. Galaxia enters, and even the Senshi's combined powers are unable to penetrate her defenses. She counterattacks, wounding them all severely, but they refuse to join her forces. They explain that Sailor Moon is the symbol of their dreams, and that they will fight for her to the end. Galaxia, done playing around, strikes them all down just as Sailor Moon arrives to witness it. Dying, Moon's friends explain that they have no regrets ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Galaxia finishes them off during their goodbyes, then vanishes again. Moon is not sure she can go on without them, but Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn arrive and tell her to persevere and carry on her friends' dreams.

Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn try to fight Galaxia, but she beats them as well. Her minions move to finish them, but they are distracted by Beryl, who confronts Galaxia. Galaxia freely admits to her manipulation of Beryl, but offers her the choice of true subservience or death. Beryl chooses the latter, but resolves that she will take Galaxia with her. In response, Sailor Phi, Sailor Chi, and Sailor Theta attack Beryl, but she overpowers them. They plead to Galaxia for help, but instead she finishes them off, saying that they are shamefully weak. Then Galaxia attacks Beryl herself, and, saying that she will give her a special death, summons the Amazon Trio to deliver the finishing blow. They are sorry, but if they do not do this, they will never become human. Surprisingly, Beryl is protected by Sailor Saturn and Sailor Pluto. Beryl asks why, and Pluto explains that they are the same in their unrequited love. Beryl's love, however, has turned to hatred ("Onna no Ronsou"). Saturn allows Beryl to escape through the Space-Time Door.

Dark Plasman and his minions (Dark Menorah, Leah Ruby, Bilhah Emerald, and Zilpah Sapphire) have designs on the planet Earth ("Overture ~Suisei Coatl no Hibou~"). Dark Plasman sends Leah Ruby to lure the Sailor Senshi onto a certain island before singing about his desire to destroy the Earth and take its place in the Solar System.

Leah Ruby heads to Azabu Juuban High School in order to lay the trap ("Ruby no Aka ~Yume wo Kaimasu Shima no Tabi~"). After school, the Inner Senshi are excited for their spring break. They have plans to leave tomorrow morning on a trip to Kaguya Island. They are joined by the Outer Senshi and Mamoru. Leah Ruby shows up as a tour guide and talks up how fun Kaguya Island will be. Mamoru thinks that it sounds too good to be true. Conveniently, the trip is free of charge. Leah Ruby tells everyone to meet at 6 AM the next morning so that they can arrive on Kaguya Island by boat before sunset. Everyone goes their separate ways: the Senshi and Mamoru to pack, and Leah Ruby to prepare the boat.

As Leah leaves, a mysterious person shows up and identifies her as one of Dark Plasman's minions. Her name is Loof Merrow and she has also been waiting 5,000 years. She is joined by Cern, Serpen, and Kraken, and they plot to attack the boat so that it doesn't reach the island ("Onna Kaizoku no Sakusen"). Specifically, they intend to attack the boat and sink it in the Loof Triangle.

The next morning, everyone is on the boat headed for Kaguya Island. Usagi is fast asleep on deck. Ami mentions that she was able to see falling stars while it was still dark outside, including one that came awfully close. Meanwhile, Usagi keeps getting woken up and going back to sleep. Eventually, she stays awake and shares the dream she had, in which she found a whole mountain of jewels. Mamoru questions if the jewels are really so important. Usagi reassures him that he's still more important, but still, the jewel hunt is exciting to the group ("Ai Yori Houseki Kaguya Shima"). Leah Ruby comes out on deck and explains that Kaguya Island is the legendary moon princess Kaguya's island. She narrates a legend about the moon princess and the prince of Earth being separated when the moon princess left, and the princess's tears turning into jewels. Afterward, Mamoru suggests planning for the upcoming treasure hunt in the cabins, since he feels like he's being watched.

Once the deck hands (really Cern and Serpen in disguise) are alone, Loof Merrow tells them to stop messing around and force the Senshi to transform so that they can figure out who has the Silver Crystal and take it. Loof summons a storm in order to sink the ship. The Inner Senshi huddle in the cabins, and Rei senses something unearthly about the storm. The jewel trio are confused at what is happening. Cern and Serpen appear in monster form on deck, and the Outer Senshi arrive to fight them off. They are followed shortly thereafter by the Inner Senshi, then Sailor Moon. Loof Merrow appears and introduces herself. Tuxedo Kamen enters, and Loof makes the storm stronger. Dark Plasman also appears, and he and Loof briefly struggle before he summons an even larger wave to carry the ship to Kaguya Island ("Arashi no Naka no Zenshousen"). Loof declares that she will return for the Silver Crystal before fleeing.

The Senshi regroup on the beach and notice that their transformations have reverted. Rei senses a tremendous amount of evil energy on the island. Usagi enters last, struggling with being "attacked" by kelp. The "tour guides" (the jewel trio and Dark Menorah in disguise) enter and welcome everyone to the island. Leah is eager to get everyone started on the treasure hunt, and the four sing a welcome song ("Welcome Hare Hare Hire Hare"). The Senshi and Dark Menorah head off on the treasure hunt. Now alone, the jewel trio strategize. Zilpah notes that Mamoru is the most suspicious of everything going on. They then reminisce about the last time they were on the island, and Leah expresses sadness over what happened 5,000 years ago ("5000-nen Kaguya Shima").

They're about to kiss when suddenly, Chibi-Usa falls from the sky. Chibi-Usa is fed-up after having a fight with her mother, and has run away from home ("Chibi-Usa no Hanran"). Usagi bristles because they're currently not in a position to take care of her, but she sympathizes with Chibi-Usa when she describes what Neo-Queen Serenity has been doing that made her so mad (taking away her video games and manga, etc.). The cats enter and meow loudly. Chibi-Usa can understand them, and tells Usagi that they want her to give the jewels back. Usagi doesn't believe her. The rest of the Inner Senshi enter and are surprised to see Chibi-Usa there as well.

Just as they attack again, Hotaru enters in a long layered kimono. She tells the jewels to go back to their star, tells them that hate is a waste of time, and that their aims are unreasonable ("Hitosuji no Hikari no Kokoro ~Yabou no Kao~"). Dark Plasman appears and sings that the Earth is now within his reach, but he is shaken as he recognizes Usagi as Princess Moon.

On the island, the Inner Senshi are growing anxious ("Hyouchaku Shita Keredo..."). They're hungry, they have no way home, and no powers. Usagi enters with a ''lot'' of food - enough to feed everyone! She claims that she collected all of the food - the fish were even jumping out of the water ("Usagi Papparanpapaa")! She's called out on that, though, because the food includes freshly sliced sashimi, fully cooked food, and even sauces. Setsuna catches sight of King Endymion in an apron hiding nearby, but keeps quiet as he goes off to stay hidden.

Usagi shows off the jewels that she found in the cave while Mamoru wants everyone to think about how to get off of the island. The cats show up again to ask for their jewels back. Usagi thinks that Chibi-Usa just wants the jewels for herself, and they quarrel for a bit. The Senshi split up to find shelter, firewood, and a way to send an SOS. Everyone agrees to meet at the beach at sunset. Chibi-Usa stays behind with the cats. The cats explain that they have been waiting for their mothers on this island for thousands of years. Their guardian is someone named "Kon", who is the one who possessed Hotaru. The cats are mostly hopeful, though Cook is getting impatient. Chibi-Usa tells them that mothers are not as great as they're making them out to be because all mothers do is scold their kids ("Okaa-san te Nan Darou?"). The cats don't know what it means to be scolded, and they go on to reminisce about what little they remember of their mothers. The jewels that they wore were their mothers' crystallized tears. Chibi-Usa wonders if a "mother" is such a good thing after all. From afar, King Endymion sings about mothers needing to scold their children when they have been bad, and that a mother is someone who wishes for her children's happiness. After learning what the gems are, Chibi-Usa tells the cats that Usagi will definitely give them back. As thanks, the cats take her around the island.

Elsewhere, Loof is upset with the rest of the pirates. She seems to be in some kind of pain, but they have no idea what is wrong with her. She describes various symptoms of lovesickness, but the best diagnosis they can come up with is "heartburn", so Cern, Serpen, and Kraken leave to find her some medicine. Loof sings about her loneliness and budding feelings of affection for Space Knight ("Just Love Wasurerarenai").

The cats run to defend Chibi-Usa, but are wounded by Dark Plasman's attack. Their jewels shine, and the jewel trio recognize them as theirs. Dark Plasman calls them "trash" that he cast off 5,000 years ago - the cats are, in fact, the jewel trio's long-lost children. Kon speaks through Saturn and explains the cats' appearance and their 5,000-year wait to their mothers. The mothers and children finally meet and embrace as the cats near death ("Yatto Aeta Ne"). After the cats die, Dark Plasman commands the jewel trio to attack, but in their grief, they turn against him. Their ambitions mean nothing now that their children are dead. Dark Plasman defeats them in a single blow, and they disappear.

The comet draws closer still. So long as Dark Plasman is on Earth, the comet's trajectory will not change. Chibi-Usa asks Kon to lend them her power. Kon does so, and gives Sailor Moon her power, allowing her to transform into Eternal Sailor Moon for the final battle ("LINK"). Dark Plasman is finally defeated, and the comet disappears. The Senshi sing about everyone being loved by someone ("Minna Dareka ni Aisarete"). The jewel trio and the kittens are revived and reunited, and they plan to travel together from now on. Chibi-Usa says that she will properly apologize to her mother.

The next morning, Usagi oversleeps, and Minako, Makoto, and Rei appear and yell at her to wake up ("Wake Up! Usagi!"). Mamoru, Ami, Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna soon join them, and they tease Usagi for oversleeping. Usagi, disturbed by her dreams the previous night, says that she hopes they will always be together. Chibiusa appears out of nowhere and rejoices at seeing Mamoru ("Matamata Chibiusa Desu"). She presents a letter from Neo-Queen Serenity, which says that the Queen had a bad dream, and requests that everyone be careful. Chibiusa claims that she was sent back to protect Usagi, but is soon forced to admit that she wrote the letter herself. Still, she insists that her mother really did have a bad dream. Despite the warning, Usagi decides that they should forget it and go have a good time; if they don't hurry, she and Mamo-chan won't be able to ride the boats. Everyone else is a bit more worried, but follows.

Hotaru approaches her father's lab, but is intercepted by his assistant, Death Lamia, who says she cannot enter. Hotaru leaves the message that she is going to Inoshiri Shizen Park with her friends. Death Lamia and the Death Nightmares sing about what it is like to be a dream demon, and how one cannot escape from their dreams ("Muma no Odori"). Professor Tomoe enters and declares that he has successfully made the Homunculus eggs. He addresses those assembled, saying that all living beings rely on their soul: a Pure Heart. Putting a flawed soul into the Homunculus eggs will result in nothing but failures, like the four Death Mannetjes, who are also present. He asks Lamia to get Pure Hearts for him. Her plan is to go after Hotaru's friends.

In the park, Mamoru and Usagi float in a gondola over a lake. They sing a duet about their love ("Gondola no Koibito-tachi"), and Mamoru reassures Usagi that they will always be together. Usagi tries to press Mamoru for a kiss, but in the meantime another boat containing Chibiusa and Hotaru, as well as three waterfowl, have glided up near them on the lake. As they pass each other, Usagi angrily shouts at the girls for ruining her moment.

As Dracul performs his magic act, he levitates Chibiusa, then puts Hotaru in a box and thrusts swords into it before pulling them out and releasing her unharmed. Everyone is very impressed. He retreats into the back of the stage and disappears, revealing Death Lamia and her Death Nightmares, who accompany her in dancing and singing ("Kubisuji wo Sashidase"). At first, the Senshi think this is another performance, but soon it becomes clear that the supposed performers are threatening them. After they reveal themselves as the ones from Usagi's nightmare, Usagi begins to transform, but Death Lamia reminds her about the disasters and she hesitates. The Nightmares begin to absorb everyone's energy, and Lamia grabs Chibiusa.

Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune arrive and confront the villains ("Chou Bi! Uranus to Neptune"). They are joined by Sailor Pluto, who frees the captive Chibiusa. The Death Nightmares are joined by some hungry monsters (the Mannetjes in disguise), and when Uranus attempts to destroy them, her attack is blocked by Professor Tomoe, now in his Undead Berserk form and wielding a large weapon that he calls the Samael Sword. The Guardian Senshi transform and intervene, joining the others in the fight ("Solar Miracle, Make Up"). In the confusion, Count Dracul bites Mamoru. Sailor Moon finally transforms and unsuccessfully attempts to purify their enemies with the Moon Stick. She admits that she did not transform into Super Sailor Moon out of fear of her dream; she did still transform, though, and as an example of a disaster, Lamia presents a stumbling Mamoru, clutching his neck. The enemies leave.

At the high school, Ami contemplatively sings about her conflicting desires to expand her horizons, and keep things as they are ("Dream Yume wa Ookiku"). Makoto, Rei, and Minako join her and sing about what they dream of doing. Inspired by them, Ami makes her decision to go study medicine in Germany, departing tomorrow. They congratulate her, but are surprised she is leaving so soon. Ami is anxious about not telling Usagi yet. Chibiusa and Usagi arrive, the latter looking a bit down, saying that Mamoru has a light anemia, but should get better. She feels like the disaster was her fault. Rei blurts out that Ami is leaving, and Usagi starts crying, saying it is because she transformed. The others insist it is not related.

Elsewhere, Usagi regrets having fought with Ami and wants to congratulate her, but she is still sad that things are starting to change. Ami, on her way to the plane, sings that if she had seen Usagi's face, it would have been too painful for her to go ("Tabidachi"). Suddenly, Ami is seized by the Death Nightmares and Death Lamia, who bites her neck. She calls out for help to Usagi through her watch communicator before collapsing. Haruka and Michiru arrive at Usagi's side just after Ami's voice cuts off.

Professor Tomoe and his minions celebrate the artificial life they are creating and their coming victory ("Homunculus Tanjou Zenya"). Death Vulcan's presence returns and encourages them. Lamia asks if they should insert Chibi Moon's Star Seed into the Samael Flasks now, but Tomoe tells her to wait until they have dealt with the other Sailor Senshi. Dracul arrives, and Tomoe explains that if they use the Sailor Senshi's Star Seeds as their base, the Homunculi should turn out well. Dracul comments that it is perfect, since human blood has become unclean. Tomoe and Lamia welcome him into the group. Dracul wonders if this can save his wife, chained in purgatory, or their daughter.

Alone, Dracul sings about the endless emptiness of his undead curse, wondering if he has brought it upon himself ("Dracul Hakushaku no Kodoku"). He tells the Death Nightmare he bit earlier that he will let her care for his wife's name, and dubs her "Le Fay." Dracul also names Tuxedo Mask "Krusnik," as he would have his son, if had had one. Then he tells his new family about Transylvania and his daughter who lives there.

Super Sailor Moon stands in what appears to be a church with the Samael Sword resting in an altar, and explains the events of ''Last Dracul Jokyoku''. She is joined by Sailor Uranus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus. Someone can be heard chanting the "dream" chant, and a mysterious cloaked figure can be briefly seen. Sailor Moon is joined by the rest of the Sailor Senshi ("Millennium - Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai"). Super Sailor Moon draws another sword from the Samael Sword and declares that she will definitely come to this "Transylvania".

Elsewhere, Bloody Dracul Vampir is mourning her father's death and musing about being burdened with the fate of the vampire clan ("Image De Mon Pere"). As she sings, four small figures quietly enter. Le Fay appears and declares that it is Vampir's duty to take revenge on those responsible for Count Dracul's death, but Vampir refuses, saying that she is not a monster. A voice says that there is no such thing as monsters. A woman enters, holding a staff, flanked by four other people (Elizabeth Bathory, Gilles de Rais, Lilit, and Lilim). Elizabeth Bathory asks what makes them monsters. Gilles de Rais answers that the forest creatures see humans as monsters. The woman with the staff insists that Heaven has selected Vampir as the leader of the vampires, but Vampir refuses again. The woman warns her that Vampir's defiance will lead to her clan's ruin. The man kneels and refers to himself as Vampir's servant. The other newcomers want to celebrate, and even offer Vampir a drink. Vampire refuses again, but the woman with a staff (Lilith of Darkness) declares that she cannot reject the fate that was decided by Heaven. Lilith utters an incantation and uses her blood in a ritual. Elizabeth, Gilles de Rais, Vampir, and Le Fay all drink from the glasses that she gives to them. Lilith orders Elizabeth to go to Japan. She states that the next step in the revenge plan is to revive Count Dracul with the Silver Crystal (the power of which has sealed him in the underworld), which is owned by Sailor Moon. Gilles de Rais interrupts Lilith's rant about the Ginzuishou and asks her to stop. Vampire protests again, but Lilith reminds her that her mother, Le Fay, was murdered for being with a vampire. Lilith insists that if God were real, no living thing would suffer. Separating the underworld from the mortal realm, is, in her terms, unacceptable, and the Ginzuishou is doing just that. Gilles de Rais asks Vampir to destroy the Silver Crystal. Lilith imbues the four children present with the power of the Samael, and they become the Samael Quartet ("Yume Yume Utagau Koto Nakare").

At Azabu Juuban High School, Usagi, Minako, and Makoto melodramatically mourn their poor marks on their English exam. Even Ami admits that she had trouble with one of the questions - there was a lot of Medieval English on the exam. Rei enters, excited for summer vacation and hoping that they don't get tricked into a trip like "that horrible Kaguya Island tour last year". The girls about to head for Shibuya when Haruka shows up and mentions Europe. Setsuna and Hotaru enter, and Setsuna tells Usagi that the English teacher is looking for her. Michiru is performing on a concert tour in Europe, and everyone offers their services so that they can go with her. Michiru invites everyone and mentions that the trip includes trips to old European castles. The group is thrilled with the prospect ("Set Me Free ~Euro~ Wasurenai Natsuyasumi). Mamoru enters and asks if Usagi passed her test. If she doesn't pass, she won't get to go on to the next year in school. The English teacher (Elizabeth Bathory in disguise) enters and reminds Usagi that she got a zero in English. If Usagi can't get full marks, then she will not get a summer vacation. Rei comes up with the idea for a training camp from hell at Hikawa Shrine in order to get their scores up, and some of the group leave. Usagi asks if she wants to join their study group, but Sheba calls it the "enemy language" and seems to be on the fence about it. Usagi tells her where to meet them, and Sheba leaves. Hotaru remarks that Sheba's shadow tends to disappear, but brushes it off as her imagination. It looks like an evening storm is coming, so everyone leaves for the shrine.

Lilith laments her current state of being and the world ("Ankoku no Madonna"). She has suffered under a male God and is determined to rise to power. She wants the virgin mother goddess to be revered instead, and wants to be honored as the Mother. Lilith has found Astarte, who is now biding her time as the "trump card" of Heaven and Earth. Sheba enters, wearing a cloak. Lilith awakens and contacts Astarte, the goddess within Sheba. Astarte is currently in purgatory, and Lilith intends to release her from it. It is also revealed that something called Death Vulcan is emitting light from within her. Sheba snaps out of her trance, saying that there's someone inside of her.

At Hikawa Shrine, Rei is praying to the sacred fire as Usagi and Makoto are studying with Ami and Mamoru. It is not going well, and the group is getting hungry. Setsuna and Haruka arrive with food, and the group takes a break as Michiru plays the violin outside. Hotaru notices that someone is outside. It's Sheba, who joins the study group. Michiru runs in, distressed - she has seen a vampire outside. Gilles de Rais and Elizabeth appear from behind a screen and introduce themselves. They are looking for Sailor Mars, who appears to fight them off ("Honoo no Messenger"). Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter transform as well. Sailor Mars attacks the intruders, but the Samael Quartet show up and block her attack. Before they can launch an offensive, they hear Chibi-Usa's voice again. The intruders leave, and Elizabeth tells the Sailor Senshi that they will meet again on the next full moon. While chasing them off, Sailor Mars is bitten by Vampir, who leaves behind a note signed "Bloody Dracul". Uranus is incensed upon finding this note.

The Outer Senshi then arrive, ready to fight ("Kokoro Tabanete Watchin' on the Sight"). They are then joined by Sailor Jupiter ("Zigzag Slash"). Uranus is about to attack when Lilith arrives. She easily knocks over the Senshi and is about to attack when Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Senshi arrive. Sailor Moon attempts to use Moon Healing Escalation, but to no avail. Lilith summons her Dark Tarot to trap everyone in an illusion, and the Senshi are attacked one by one, starting with Vampir biting Jupiter. Chibi-Usa and the Samael Quartet meet in the depths of the dream summoned by Lilith ("Yumemiru Mori no Yume"). Lilith appears and tells the Quartet that Chibi-Usa has a Silver Crystal, and turns them against her. Tuxedo Mask arrives to save Chibi-Usa ("Here Comes The Tuxedo Mask"). Lilith brings the Quartet under her thrall again and it becomes dark. Tuxedo Mask has apparently been separated from Chibi-Usa.

In a mausoleum, Lilith sings to Astarte ("Kaikou ~Lilith to Astarte~). She wishes to destroy this world and create one that Astarte rules over as the true goddess. Sheba appears, and Astarte declares herself the true goddess of the moon. The Quartet arrive and stand before Astarte. Gilles de Rais reveals to the Quartet that they are Homunculi - artificial life forms. Lilith offers them the chance to be Neonates - real humans - if they help her obtain the Silver Crystal.

The Sailor Senshi are at the airport, ready to travel to Europe ("Set Me Free ~Hitomi wa Sora e~). Their English teacher has offered to guide them around the area. As everyone else goes on ahead, Usagi voices her determination to save everyone, but she is also trying to hide her worry and sadness ("Mitsumeteite yo"). Mamoru tries to reassure her before the rest of the Senshi join them. Haruka, clearly concerned about her vampire bite, says that if anything should happen to her, they should get rid of her before Michiru catches on. Usagi wants to meet Vampir to tell her that Count Dracul saved her.

Vampir is cooling off and thinking in the forest ("Koshuuki"). She is joined by Chibi-Usa, who is lost in the forest. Chibi-Usa asks who Vampir's lost her way from, and says that she'll definitely find them. Chibi-Usa tells Vampir a bit about her search for the Quartet. Le Fay enters, and Chibi-Usa recognizes her. Vampir asks her to leave Chibi-Usa alone, but Lilith enters and summons Super Sailor Moon to their location ("The Last Change"). Sailor Astarte also arrives to protect the Silver Crystal. Sailor Astarte wants Moon to go home, but is struggling with staying in this form. She thanks Sailor Moon for believing in her. Sailor Astarte explains that Sheba's mother disappeared while traveling in Eastern Europe, which broke Sheba. She warns Moon about her other personality, which is becoming stronger. Her time left as Sheba and Sailor Astarte is growing short. She also knows that something is wrong with everything that has happened so far, but she can't articulate exactly what it is before she collapses.

The Sailor Senshi arrive (including Sailor Moon in her normal form). Moon wants to speak with Vampir, but everyone else is ready to fight, and a battle ensues ("Millennium - Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai"). Sailor Moon transforms into Super Sailor Moon during the battle. Death Vulcan commands Gilles de Rais to unsheathe he Samael sword, and he easily counters Uranus with Death Vulcan's power. Death Vulcan's voice can be heard, and Moon has had enough of its games. She attacks it.

In Dark Cain's temple, each faction is ready for the final confrontation ("We'll Be The Last Victory"). The temple sits on what is left of Eden. Lilith recounts that she was cursed to birth 100 children a day, who would all die, and she threw herself into the ocean. She was saved by Lucifer, and her children with him became demons. She claims that humans were once immortal, but the planet now calls for the death of humanity. Sailor Moon wants to know who told her that, but Lilith dodges the question by telling Vampir to attack. Vampir does not want to take orders from her, though. Moon tries to reason with Astarte, who instead attacks her. Moon then tries to tell Vampir what really happened to Count Dracul, but Le Fay insists that Moon killed him, and Vampir refuses to talk anymore. The battle begins again.

Lilith appears and delivers an invitation from a "familiar figure", signed "Bloody Dracul". Uranus is incensed upon reading it.

At Count Dracul's mansion, Vampir lays out her revenge plan - to drive a wedge between the Sailor Senshi ("All Of You Shall Die"). She is joined by the rest of the antagonists, and declares that she will be the one to take out the Senshi. Death Vulcan then speaks through the Quartet. On the night of the full moon, there will be a feast in Transylvania. A celestial body will emerge, allowing Death Vulcan to counter its imprisonment. The last thing it needs is the power of the Silver Crystal. If they give it the Crystal, it will give them the Earth. Gilles de Rais reveals that the vampires exist as Death Vulcan's vassals, which is news to Vampir, who states that only she can destroy vampires.

Tuxedo Mask arrives to save Chibi-Usa ("Here Comes The Tuxedo Mask"). Sheba enters, but Lilith refers to her as "Dark Cain". Cain orders Lilith to let the vampires deal with the Senshi, and tells Gilles de Rais that the Samael Sword has been revived. Lilith casts a dark spell, and they all disappear.

Elsewhere in subspace, Vampir reflects on her father's death and the burden of her clan's fate ("Image De Mon Pere"). She then resolves to go after the strongest Senshi first, and engages Uranus. Uranus refers to her as "Neptune's enemy", and they exchange barbs before they are joined by Mars and Jupiter. Vampir manages to bite all three and escape, telling them that she will be waiting in the mausoleum. The rest of the Senshi show up, as do the Samael Quartet and Gilles de Rais, who is now carrying the Samael Sword. Sheba appears, attacks the antagonists, and reveals herself as the tenth Sailor Senshi from beyond the sun: Sailor Astarte. She attacks again, and her attack breaks the Samael Sword.

It grows dark and misty as Count Dracul appears before everyone ("Dracul Hakushaku no Kodoku").

In a mausoleum, Lilith sings to Astarte ("Kaikou ~Lilith to Astarte~). She wishes to destroy this world and create one that Astarte rules over as the true goddess. Sheba appears, and Astarte declares herself the true goddess of the moon. The Quartet arrive and stand before Astarte. Gilles de Rais reveals to the Quartet that they are Homunculi - artificial life forms. Lilith offers them the chance to be Neonates - real humans - if they help her destroy the Silver Crystal. It appears that the Senshi are due to arrive in Bucharest soon. Gilles de Rais asks Sheba why the Samael Sword broke. She states that it was because it could not withstand the Senshi's power. Cain speaks through her to warn them of the "other" Vulcan, who is trying to use Sheba's body to help Sailor Moon. He states that it will send guidance, but when Astarte awakens, they cannot be sure if she will work for or against them. Gilles de Rais wonders if Astarte, too, is a double-edged sword.

The Senshi have arrived in Bucharest ("Set Me Free ~Hitomi wa Sora e~"). Michiru's concert in Vienna was canceled, but they run into Brinvilliers-sensei, who offers to show them her family's home, and they leave. Mandrake and the Quartet enter, apparently trailing the Senshi. Chibi-Usa stumbles upon them and some comedy ensues before she and Mamoru rejoin their group.

de Brinvilliers introduces the mansion as her grandmother's home. Usagi is cold and hungry, and it's currently raining outside. Haruka mentions that it's a lot like Count Dracul's mansion from last time. The power goes out. Mandrake and the Quartet use the opportunity to sneak in, but Rei uses Akuryo Taisan to expose them. Lilith enters, along with Gilles de Rais, who is now wearing a suit of armor. The Senshi attempt to transform, but fail because of the presence of the Samael flasks. Lilith attacks, but Sailor Venus counters ("Traditional The Grace ~Ai no Arashi~"). de Brinvilliers joins the fight. Vampir and Le Fay enter and knock Venus down, but she points out that vampires can't live without humans. The rest of the Senshi transform and enter to help her ("21st Century Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai").

Gilles de Rais draws the Samael Sword, but he still can't use it properly. Tuxedo Mask enters, scuffles with him, and Sailor Moon picks up the sword. The Samael Quartet enter, chanting the dream chant. Sailor Moon doesn't want to fight them and does her best to resist their attack. Sailor Chibi-Moon suddenly enters and reveals that the Quartet are offshoots of her. Astarte enters, and Lilith introduces her as Dark Cain. An all-out fight ensues, which only ends when Sailor Moon uses Moon Spiral Heart Attack to break up the fighting. Dark Cain opens Dracul's coffin and brings him all the way out of his sleep. Dracul arises and asks where the Ginzuishou is. Sailor Moon wants to talk to him, but he doesn't respond and draws the Samael Sword, appearing to side with the antagonists. They will all meet at a temple for the final confrontation. The Senshi regroup, but they hear a voice saying "I Am that I Am" (a name of God in the Hebrew Bible). Sailor Moon uses Moon Gorgeous Meditation to get them to reveal themselves, but to seemingly no avail. Jupiter, Uranus, and Mars realize that their time is running out, and the Senshi resolve to fight ("Sailor War! 2001"). The voice says that it will fight with them, and it guides them to Dark Cain's temple. Both sides begin the final confrontation ("We'll Be The Last Victory").

Dracul calls Dark Cain out and reveals that his plan is to die along with everything else. Cain responds by using his power to manipulate the Quartet, who he intends to use as demons from now on. Sailor Mercury has had enough ("Drive Me The Mercury"). She and Moon call on Cain to release Astarte. Cain refers to Dracul as the brother he murdered and mentions that he needed a 'trick' to kill everything. The Senshi take attack after attack, and Moon refuses to give up. Dracul asks why they keep on fighting, and Moon responds that it's because humans are weak. Gilles de Rais defends her from Dark Cain's attack and calls her "Jeanne". As he is dying, he draws the Orleans Piercer, a sword he made for Joan of Arc, from the Samael Sword. de Brinvilliers also dies from Dark Cain's attack.

Both Vulcans sing about their torn destiny and their place in the Solar System ("Itan no Juusei"). Death Vulcan wants to obliterate Earth and become the supreme ruler of the universe. Dark Cain sends the good Vulcan away and reveals his intent to disappear along with Earth. The Outer Senshi enter and have no intention of letting either of them continue ("Chikyuu! Crisis Yurusumaji"). Pluto is about to stop time in order to put a stop to Cain and Death Vulcan's plans, but she is interrupted by Usagi and Chibi-Usa. Magi Saint Germain reveals that he has the Ginzuishou, and the Outer Senshi are upset with Usagi for hurting the Senshi like this. Dark Cain intends to seal everyone in the mausoleum, and casts a spell to take away their ability to move. Usagi, Chibi-Usa, and Mamoru are trapped in the magic circle and are attacked, and Usagi refuses to give up. Saint Germain starts to lose patience with this. Mandrake enters to help, but Mandrako takes Levy hostage. The planet Vulcan's angle changes. Dark Vulcan says that he will show Cain his planet, and everyone is transported there ("Ankoku no Sonnet").

Vampir asks if Mandrake will go after them, but he is still crestfallen after Mandrako's betrayal. Levy tries to console him, but is not able to be of much help. Cain enters and claims that he is of the same race as Vampir. She says that may be so, but she will not forgive him. Mandrako enters and asks Mandrake why he allies himself with the humans when they were the ones who destroyed their race. He answers that it is because they were born from humans' tears. The Nightmares enter and taunt them. Dracul enters before they can corrupt Vampir. She refuses to turn on people, and Dracul has had enough with the manipulations. A battle ensues ("Akuma no Ragnarok"). The Nightmares exposit that God ordered humans to kneel, but they rebelled, making them the "opponents" (i.e. demons). Dracul points out that Cain did not, in fact, write the Bible, though he did create these "succubi". The Nightmares chain up Vampir and Cain uses a dark spell to take everyone else away as Death Vulcan can be heard laughing.

Moon refers to Death Vulcan as a friend and the Senshi state that Queen Serenity believe that there was a tenth planet out there. Death Vulcan is embittered by Serenity protecting only the Earth while his planet died. The Senshi explain that they help each other. Moon realizes that she felt Vulcan's pain from the other side of the sun, and asks Vulcan to forgive her for not being a good princess. Vulcan states that the pain Moon felt was their pain of being torn apart. Death Vulcan claims that no one can understand that pain. Moon says that the pain is there because the stars in everyone's hearts try to become one. Death Vulcan is still resolved to fight. Vampir says that it's the Ragnarok of the gods, and Cain says that it's the final battle between stars and planets. The battle begins, and Sailor Moon transforms into her Eternal form ("21st Century Koi no Senshi Ja Irarenai").

With them out of the way, Death Vulcan is ready to destroy everything. Moon appeals to Serenity to release the Golden Crystal. She does, and the final battle begins ("FIRE"). Vulcan grabs Death Vulcan and his tablet, and Moon and Chibi-Moon use Starlight Honeymoon Double Therapy Kiss to seal them both into one tablet. Eternal Sailor Moon then transforms into Princess Serenity. After the battle, Serenity says that Vampir has the power to purify the earth. Mandrake is a plant sovereign, who can bring forth life. Vampir asks Serenity about her father. Serenity says that light and darkness are one, and they have the same mission. She then leads the company in singing "Ginga no Sanctuary".

The group ask the girl if she knows anything about them. She asks if Moon is THE SM, and asks her to save her mother in the 30th century. She then introduces herself by her full name and reveals that she is the future kid. When pressed for more information on how she got there, she becomes visibly distressed when talking about the destruction of Crystal Tokyo and runs away screaming about the dark Crystal coming.

On Planet Nemesis, the Black Moon Clan sings about their motives in rewriting history ("Kekki! Hangyaku Ichizoku"). They see the people in a world without aging or strife as "fat" and "weak", and wish to overthrow the rule of the white moon. Demand is also fixated on Neo Queen Serenity, even in her past form. Apparently the droid was sent on Demand's whim, but Saphir is not particularly pleased. Petz tries to take the fall, but Demand brushes it off. Esmeraude proposes going to get the Ginzuishou. The Ayakashi sisters protest, so Demand suggests that they aim for one kill each. Wiseman enters and asks about the child, but Tilmun isn't comfortable going after a child, so Wiseman sends two children.

Esmeraude enters and suggests that they work together to remove the source of Demand's clouded judgment. Saphir leaves, and Tilmun and the kids show up. She orders Tilmun to send the two children, who are eager to do so. Since Chibi-Usa is a "half-breed", she proposes using the children to well up some emotions in her. Tilmun touches a nerve when it comes to Neo-Queen Serenity, and Esmeraude rants about her hatred of her before storming off. Tilmun and the children talk. The children were born on Nemesis, but don't have the black crescent mark. Tilmun does have half of a mark, though. The girls share a little bit of their sadness at being half-breeds and not fitting in. They want to live on earth because there are flowers there. Cooan fetches Tilmun for a strategy meeting, and the girls are left alone. Wiseman enters. He tells them about Small Lady's loneliness, and encourages them to use their loneliness and sadness to lead her to Wiseman. After he leaves, they sing about wanting to see Earth ("Niji-Iro no Monochrome"). Aren't they just so precious

At Azabu Silver Crystal Hall, the Inner Senshi rehearse for a performance contest ("La Soldier"). The rehearsal is not going particularly well; the girls argue about mistakes in the choreography. Usagi wonders if they'll be recognized as the Sailor Senshi by performing "La Soldier". Mamoru and Chibi-Usa come to watch them rehearse, and Chibi-Usa complains that everyone is just fighting. The hosts, Roppongi Tilmun and Azabu Kouan, enter and usher everyone off since their rehearsal time has ended. HyuruHyuru Baseballer comes on next and rehearses briefly. His act is followed by Esmeraude entering with her "twin daughters" as an act while she and other members of the Black Moon Clan dance backup in disguise ("La Soldier Full Orchestral Ver."). The Senshi object to Esmeraude throwing money around, and Minako blurts out that Usagi has the Ginzuishou.

The Black Moon Clan reveal themselves and attack. HyuruHyuru Baseballer joins the fight as well. During the scuffle, Tilmun gets a hold of Usagi, but is interrupted by a rose. Tuxedo Mask enters and fights the enemies off ("Tuxedo Versus"). In the confusion, Aaron and Manna get Chibi-Usa to escape with them. Mars enters next, and Cooan targets her, followed by Jupiter, who is targeted by Petz. Mercury is next, and Calaveras decides to engage her. Calaveras then manages to immobilize Mars and Jupiter with her powers. Venus joins the fight and breaks the spell before taking on Tilmun ("Traditional The Grace ~Ai no Arashi~"). Venus also defeats HyuruHyuru Baseballer with a Crescent Beam. Sailor Moon finally enters and joins the fight. Esmeraude is eager to take her on, which Moon comments on. The Senshi notice the energy from the earrings. Moon attempts to use Moon Healing Escalation, but it doesn't work. The Clan attack and Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury are at their mercy. They declare that they won't deal the final blow here on Demand's orders. Moon manages one of the Clan's attacks, injuring Esmeraude in the process. Esmeraude wonders how much power the Ginzuishou holds before the Clan disappears, leaving Moon with Venus and Tuxedo Mask. They realize that Chibi-Usa is missing.

Usagi wanders the dungeons, looking for the Inner Senshi. She encounters Esmeraude, who explains that the Crystal is stealing Usagi's power and tells her that they are in the Dungeon of Darkness. Esmeraude attacks her, but Demand drives her off. Saphir enters and calls Demand out for also receiving power from Wiseman and giving Serenity higher priority than his clan. Saphir questions Wiseman's influence, but Demand claims that he will take care of him when the time is right. Demand and Esmeraude leave. Saphir lets Usagi continue to wander, but he lets her know that he wants her dead. She calls to her friends, and they hear her in their dungeon. Their power is being drained, and they are becoming frustrated. Usagi hears their voices as well. They see a rotted corpse in the dungeon and are distressed at the thought of dying in this dungeon. They try to call to Usagi again ("Minna no Ai wo Kaesenai").

Pluto stops time, and Moon and Saturn take the crystals away from him. As the flow of time resumes, Pluto collapses, tells Black Lady the "abracadabra" charm, and dies. Black Lady begins to cry, triggering her transformation into Sailor Chibi-Moon ("Kono Kodou Kara Yoru wa Umarenai"). Chibi-Moon tries to show Pluto her transformation, but Uranus sternly tells her that a soldier is at rest. Demand orders Saphir to give him the key to the fusion core. Death Phantom, now with a physical form, emerges from the Dark Gate. Moon attempts to use Moon Princess Halation, but he absorbs it. Death Phantom attacks Demand. Saphir dies protecting Demand, as does Esmeraude. Tilmun dies defending the kids and gives them a flower he found on Nemesis. Death Phantom kills Aaron and Manna as well. The Senshi (except Uranus, who objects) try to use Sailor Planet Attack, and it is absorbed as well. Death Phantom kills Saphir's droids. Uranus and Neptune are about to move in on Death Phantom, but Demand insists on going in himself. He berates Death Phantom for using the Black Moon Clan as mere tools. He manages to land a hit on Death Phantom, but it does not do very much damage. Death Phantom strikes him, and Demand declares himself king. Demand holds Death Phantom's body to create an opening for the Outer Senshi to send him back into the Dark Gate.

The show opens on the Inner Senshi gathering in a park in Azabu wearing matching jackets, joined later by the Outer Senshi in similarly matching jackets ("Set Me Free ~Hitomi wa Sora e~") The Inner Senshi talk about how the jackets were designed (Usagi was just a "nuisance"). Everyone is off to see Sensational Jaguar Mask, a pro wrestler, compete. Haruka and Michiru do not seem to know much about him. Chibi-Usa and Mamoru have not arrived yet, so Usagi stays behind to wait for them while the rest of the group goes on ahead to get autographs. Mamoru finally arrives, and he and Usagi flirt for a bit, and Usagi wants him to kiss her ("Negaeba Kiss!"). Chibi-Usa arrives and joins in, and both Usagi and Chibi-Usa ask for kisses. Haruka arrives to break up the nonsense, and Mamoru goes on ahead, followed by everyone else.

A figure enters and says that peace is for fools. He is joined by an army ("Dark Sirius Gundan"). The army is from the Dark Sirius Star Cluster, and their aim is to take over the universe. Naturally, they target the Sailor Senshi and want to get Moon by herself to destroy her and take her Ginzuishou.

Scorpion introduces himself as Dark Nibiru. He is of an ancient civilization from 6,000 years ago, and considers himself the correct owner of the Ginzuishou. He is interrupted by a rose as Tuxedo Mask enters and fights the Dark Sirius Army ("Tuxedo Versus"). Sailor Moon arrives and uses Moon Healing Escalation. It doesn't work. Nibiru attacks her, and she calls for everyone ("21st Century Koi no Senshi Ja Irarenai"). Nibiru has Jaguar bring Chibi-Usa in. Hikaru protests that this wasn't what they agreed to. Jaguar has been brainwashed into becoming part of the army, now going by Dark Dogon. Tux calls to him to come to his senses, but gets captured by the army as well. Nibiru says that if they want the Crystal back, they will have to come to his planet: Dark Sirius. Pluto takes a key from her belt and throws it to Chibi-Usa, sending her and Tuxedo Mask to the future. The Senshi go after them to the future ("Sailor War! 2002").

Chibi-Usa and Tuxedo Mask are at the Space-Time Door. The army ambushes them, and they begin to fight ("Fukitsu na Kaze ~Fukkatsu wa Higeki no Zenchou~). They are joined by the Outer Senshi, and the fight continues. Nibiru then joins the fight, followed by the Inner Senshi, who enter one at a time. Finally, Super Sailor Moon and Chibi-Moon join the fight. Moon uses Moon Spiral Heart Attack, but it doesn't work. Uranus tries World Shaking, but it also doesn't work. Mercury realizes that the army is not actually physically there. Nibiru casts some kind of wind spell. Mars uses Burning Mandala, but it, too, is of no avail. Nibiru opens the door and Dark Dogon/Jaguar Mask enters. Nibiru uses an attack to knock down the Inner Senshi. Dogon takes the Inners' Star Seeds and tells the rest of the Senshi to come to Dark Sirius. Pluto and Uranus go after him as the door closes.

Moon is now in sub space, where the Senshi now are, weakened and defeated. Moon calls out. She finds the Senshi, close to death after having their Star Seeds removed. They manage to communicate with each other before the Inner Senshi die ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Uranus and Pluto use their talismans to help them in the sub space. Pluto opens the Time-Space Door and manages to bring the remaining Senshi, Tuxedo Mask, and Hikaru to their location. Moon asks about the Inners, but there is nothing that Pluto and Uranus can do about them. Hikaru feels the pulse again, and hears Nibiru's voice, asking why they were called to him. The army arrives, led by Dogon. Miki calls Hikaru a traitor. The army intends to kill him, but he smirks and laughs, saying that they are afraid of him. He monologues about a lonely boy on a monochrome road. He then transforms into Prince Demand and fights off Nibiru's army alongside the Senshi ("New Innocent Demand"). He immobilizes the army so that the Senshi can attack, and the Senshi defeat them.

Demand explains that he tried to speak from the future to Hikaru, who is a past form of himself. He says that Sailor Moon's greatest power is never leaving anyone alone. He opens the Time-Space door, revealing Sailor Venus, who is then joined by the rest of the Inner Senshi ("Over The Moon"). Moon and Venus enjoy their reunion and talk about how they will always be together. Neo-Queen Serenity appears and says that Dark Sirius hasn't been purified. Dark Nibiru appears and declares that the Senshi merely eliminated the satellites that surrounded him. He vows to steal their light, and the final battle begins ("FIRE"). Sailor Moon transforms into Eternal Sailor Moon, and Sensational Jaguar Mask joins in the fight as well. Nibiru is defeated, and Jaguar Mask leaves with the championship belt.

Moon gives a speech about how everyone has a tiny light within them, and if Sirius understands that, then it will become a shining star ("Densetsu Seitan"). After the curtain call, the company sings "Ginga no Sanctuary".

The scene transitions to the sound of bells and Usagi's voice. Usagi thinks that she hears wedding bells, and she and Mamoru meet in the park ("Usagi Love Magic"). Usagi thinks that Mamoru is proposing, but Mamo is confused by her behavior. It's actually 6 AM, and she is apparently still half-asleep. She hears bells again as Chibi-Usa walks in with an alarm clock. She tried to get Usagi awake with the sound, but it didn't work. They are joined by the rest of the Inner Senshi ("Unubore Shoujo ga Yatte Kita"). The four girls leave for a day of fun in Azabu-Juuban. As Mamoru goes to follow them, he passes by Michiru, who drops a mirror. She comments on his eyes, noting that he must have been a prince in a past life. She apologizes for saying something weird. She is joined by Haruka, and they leave for school together.

At Tomoe Laboratories, the Death Busters continue with their plans to devour humanity and build their new holy land on Earth for Pharaoh 90 ("Isei Nottori Keikaku"). The daimon Tomoe is currently working on is almost ready, and he prepares to put another egg into a host. As it stands, 90% of the implanted eggs mutate, but he daimon losses have allowed them to identify the Sailor Senshi. Tomoe thinks they will make good Hostie. The Witches 5 and Kaolinite set up their strategy going forward. The Witches 5 leave to put their plan into action. Hotaru enters the laboratory with difficulty breathing and rejects Kaolinite's attempts to help her. Professor Tomoe gives her an amulet, saying it was a family heirloom from Hotaru's mother. It appears to help with her symptoms.

The Hoshino family talk about the Ginzuishou and their origins. They are from the planet Grimm, whose people can fly. Barako tells the story of the Pied Piper of Hameln and explains that the Death Busters used the Taioron Crystal to kill the children of Grimm, thereby dooming the planet. The family laments their endangered home ("Chinmoku no Hameln").

At Hikawa Shrine, Usagi and the Inners don't agree on the Outer Senshi. Usagi doesn't think they can conclude that they're enemies, but the Inners are apprehensive ("Usagi to Yonin no Zureru Omoi"). Rei storms off. Mamoru enters with a file on Prof. Tomoe and Infinity Academy, including information about a large laboratory fire and Hotaru's survival without a single injury. Chibi-Usa enters, asking about a cute girl. Apparently they promised to meet at the shrine, but it's been an hour since their meeting time. Chibi-Usa connects the information in the file with Hotaru and Hotaru's father - Professor Tomoe. They are attacked by the Grimm (now introducing themselves by their real names), who demand the Ginzuishou. Sailor Mars enters to drive them off ("Honoo no Messenger").

Shintarou enters and tries to rescue Chibi-Usa, but fails. The rest of the Hoshinos join the effort, and Tellu uses her flower magic to incapacitate them and Chibi-Usa ("Muma no Odori"). Kaolinite uses her magic to bring the Hoshinos under her control, making them loyal to the Death Busters. Hotaru takes Chibi-Usa's brooch, and Chibi-Usa collapses.

At the water mirror palace, Mistress 9 properly introduces herself ("Seijaku no Hostie (Seitai)"). The Death Busters gather. Mistress 9 is not pleased with her body's condition. She makes it clear that she is their master and Pharaoh 90's partner in this endeavor, and is not happy with their incompetence. Pharaoh 90 asks what the source of Mistress 9's surging power is. It is the Ginzuishou, which Pharaoh 90 says is more brilliant than the Taioron Crystal. Mistress 9 hears Hotaru's voice crying out from within her. Kaolinite cattily suggests that it might be because she's awakened, but Mistress 9 threatens to put a Daimon in her body. She refers to Tomoe as "Germanoid" before leaving.

Moon is the only one left alive, and she laments that she just wanted to save everyone. She hears the voices of Damask and Gallica, and realizes that since Mistress 9 is gone, Chibi-Usa's Ginzuishou is now free. Chibi-Usa tells her to use it, and she uses it to bring Sailor Chibi-Moon to her. They both use their power to bring everyone back and restore the world - including the Death Busters. The final battle begins ("21st Now Millenium Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai").

* "Kagami yo, Moshi ya", a solo for Kaolinite is added when she looks at the reflecting pool.

Usagi performs "Tsuki-iro no Syndicate" on stage at the outdoor theater, joined by the rest of the Inner Senshi as her backup. Michiru enters and asks if they're excited to be the opening act for her concert, letting on that she has "other guests". Chibi-Usa wants to sing, too, but she can't say the tongue twister that Usagi challenges her to say. Haruka arrives, followed shortly thereafter by a little girl holding an umbrella with Setsuna in hot pursuit. The girl has apparently stolen Setsuna's umbrella. Chibi-Usa tries to ask the girl some questions, but she only answers with "chibi chibi", so the group decides to call the girl Chibi-Chibi. Hotaru arrives on a bicycle being pushed by Mamoru. Chibi-Chibi appears to recognize him, and begins to say something about the universe.

Mamoru reminisces about being in the hospital as a child, and picks up a guitar. Chibi-Chibi enters and says "memory" and "song". Mamoru asks her what she wants to hear, and she replies with "the song of this planet". He plays her the song he remembers from the hospital ("Kaze no Shijin"). A mysterious masked soprano interrupts and sings the final verse and chorus. The mysterious woman lingers, asking Mamoru why he won't sing for her, and speaks of strange stars falling on a certain day. She sounds familiar to him, but he can't quite seem to place it. She threatens that the love between him and Usagi will soon disappear. Usagi enters, complaining that it's suddenly become dark. Mamoru collapses, and the mysterious woman prepares to attack. The Sailor Starlights enter and Sailor Star Fighter attacks, driving the woman away. The trio warn Usagi to treat everyone who approaches her as an enemy before disappearing.

Saito Izo admits that he likes Ami, and the rest of the managers flirt with the rest of the Inner Senshi. The rest of the girls lightly tease Ami ("Koi no Dangerous"). The girls leave one by one. Usagi decides to stay behind and wait for Mamoru and Chibi-Usa to come back. She has a bad feeling as it becomes dark again, but it wears off when Seiya enters. Seiya tells Usagi about a monster that is rumored to drag people who get separated from their group down to hell. Yaten and Taiki enter and elaborate that the monster only goes after men and "reeks" of unrequited love. They reiterate that Usagi should take care, and it appears as though they are hiding something. Usagi recognizes them as the ones who saved her earlier. She asks them about their enemy, and they tell her that she is the destroyer of all space: Galaxia ("Galaxia Gorgeous").

Back at the outdoor theater, Ami is musing about her budding feelings for Saito Izo ("Dream Koi no Mebae"). Saito Izo meets up with her and presents her with a first edition copy of ''The Phantom of the Opera'' by Gaston Leroux. The rest of the managers and Inner Senshi show up, and it turns into a group date. Usagi enters by herself and kills the mood. Sailor Iron Mouse arrives and attacks, quickly joined by the other Animamates. The managers move to protect their dates. Usagi wants them to transform, but the girls play dumb in order to protect their identities. The Animamates try to attack Usagi, but Tuxedo Mask interrupts and challenges them ("Prince of the Earth"). He tries to use Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber, but Beryl appears and renders it useless. She finally jogs his memory of the fall of the Silver Millennium.

Now revived, Queen Beryl is working alongside Galaxia ("Yami Koso Utsukushii ~Galaxia no Sakui~"). Galaxia is not particularly impressed with Mamoru's star seed, and tells Beryl that she can have it at any time. Beryl and the Shitennou leave. Galaxia and the Animamates don't care much for the Dark Kingdom's goals, and prepare themselves to collect more star seeds. Galaxia wants Moon to rise to her level.

At the auditorium, the Inner Senshi are excited for their group date with Hotaru as their chaperone ("Seishun no Shoumi Kigen"). The girls and the managers flirt some more. The managers appear to know their secret identities as Sailor Senshi. Saitou Izo urges Ami to consider following her dream of being a doctor instead of fighting. Usagi enters and comments on the group date. Mamoru enters and abruptly tells Usagi that he is leaving to study abroad, and that he can't protect her anymore. He collapses, and Usagi suddenly has a feeling that something like this happened long ago. Mamoru gets up and walks away, and a couple of the managers and senshi go after him.

Sailors Iron Mouse and Lead Crow interrupt and attack. The Outer Senshi ambush them, only for the Animamates to reveal that Metal Butterfly, Tuxedo Mask, and a disguised Kunzite and Nephrite have ''them'' surrounded. Beryl arrives, introduces Tuxedo Mask as her husband, and orders him to attack Usagi. Usagi struggles to remember who Beryl is as Beryl and the Animamates attack. Usagi tries to get everyone to fight back, but the disguised Shitennou threaten J. Taitou and Saito Izo. Usagi recognizes that hate is all that Beryl lives for, and asks her forgiveness by way of offering her the Ginzuishou. Beryl attacks the untransformed Senshi. The Outers try to intervene, but Tuxedo Mask fights them off. Galaxia arrives and knocks out all of the Senshi in one hit, leaving them weakened ("Minna no Ai wo Kaesenai"). Galaxia takes the Inner Senshi's star seeds, prompting Usagi to declare that she hates her. Galaxia challenges Usagi to fight her, and Usagi transforms.

The Outers prepare for the coming fight ("Kokoro Tabanete Makin' For The Right"). They teleport away just as Chibi-Chibi catches up to them. Chibi-Moon is ready to go after everyone, but Chibi-Chibi stops her, telling her that this is not an enemy that she should face. Chibi-Chibi takes out her star seed and reveals that her body is temporary - she ran away from the Galaxy Cauldron. She says that she won't be able to win without this star seed. Chibi-Chibi cowers when the Starlights arrive. Chibi-Moon tells them that everyone has gone to the Cauldron, and the Starlights argue about whether they should go. Chibi-Moon says that she's going, and they try to dissuade her, but her determination gets them to stop squabbling and decide to go. They offer to help Chibi-Moon look for the Cauldron, and Chibi-Chibi guides them all to Galactica Palace.

The Dark Kingdom regroup at Galactica Palace ("By Heaven! Kami Nomi zo Shiru"). Galaxia shows them the star seeds collected from the Inner Senshi. There is some brief infighting between the Animamates and the Dark Kingdom, and Galaxia makes it clear that only the strong will survive and ''everyone'' is an enemy. She senses Moon's arrival and prepares for the coming battle ("Get Across The Moon"). Super Sailor Moon arrives, and Galaxia notices that she is stronger than before. Moon maintains that she isn't stronger because of hate; rather, she is strengthened by the love she has for everyone. Galaxia shows her all of the star seeds she has gathered and issues her challenge. She sends the Dark Kingdom at Sailor Moon first, and they all introduce themselves. Tuxedo Mask fights her first, and Moon is visibly shaken. Galaxia also summons the Inner Senshi under her control, and Moon is shocked by her methods. The Outers arrive to help Moon. Moon argues over ethics with Galaxia, who is unyielding in her use of force.

Beryl asks Galaxia for permission to return to Earth so that she won't be caught in the crossfire. The Shitennou are not pleased with Beryl's readiness to abandon Endymion, and they vow to stay with him - their true king. The reveal that they were never under her control, and Kunzite take Mamoru's star seed. Galaxia reveals that she gave the star seed to them and orders the Shitennou to dispose of Beryl, who does not take this revelation well. Moon wonders how a Senshi could do something so horrible. Just as Galaxia is about to attack, Chibi-Chibi enters and tells her to remember her, for she ''is'' her. Galaxia tries to back away, but Chibi-Chibi catches up and they unite. The star seeds go back to where they belong, allowing the Inner Senshi and Tuxedo Mask to return. The Senshi now face off against the Dark Kingdom. Zoisite taunts them, prompting Mercury to lead the charge ("Drive Me The Mercury").

Sailor Chaos appears with the Animamates. The Sailor Senshi struggle to withstand Chaos's power as Chaos prepares to battle Moon. Moon tries to get through to Galaxia, but to no avail. Chibi-Moon arrives to fight alongside Sailor Moon ("Pinky Typhoon"). Chaos reveals that all of the enemies the Senshi have fought so far were Chaos and Moon's brethren, also born from the Galaxy Cauldron. The final battle begins ("What For! Shinjitsu no Kajitsu"). Moon uses Moon Healing Escalation to bring the Shitennou out from Beryl's thrall. The Shitennou join the fight against Beryl and Shadow Galactica and make up with Tuxedo Mask, who apologizes for letting them down. Sailor Moon transforms into Eternal Sailor Moon and defeats Chaos with Chibi-Moon's help. Since the Galaxy Cauldron is still there, the universe will go on living. Moon says that Galaxia will make a new history for her planet, and reassures the Starlights that they will find their princess. The show ends with "Here Goes! Shooting Star".

At a performance hall, the Inner Senshi and Hotaru are excited about being young and stuff ("Seishun no Shoumi Kigen"). Mamoru and Haruka have apparently been racing bicycles. The Senshi have been waiting for the Three Lights to show up, since they're supposed to be on before Michiru at this concert. Minako, Makoto, and Usagi fantasize about flirting with Yaten, Taiki, and Seiya, respectively. A little pink haired girl flies in, holding the Garnet Rod. When caught and questioned by the group, she only responds with "chibi chibi". She surprises and confuses everyone by recognizing Mamoru, and says that right now, the universe is…

She is interrupted by arrival the Jewel Managers (Luka Naito, Yoruno Hideo, Taito Hemahachiro, and Saito Kun), the directors and promoters of the concert ("Jewel Managers Toujou"). They are evidently looking for the Senshi. The Dancing Animamates (Manila Karasu, Chuu Rat, Half Bird, and Miss Butterfly) arrive shortly thereafter ("Dancing Mistress"). The Three Lights then begin their rehearsal, much to everyone's excitement ("See Me, Boku-tachi no Jidai"). Everyone there mingles briefly.

The Jewel Managers usher the Three Lights out for some more rehearsal. The girls gradually go their separate ways, leaving Hotaru, Mamoru, and Saito Kun behind. Saito Kun and Mamoru share a brief exchange before Saito Kun leaves, and Setsuna enters. Chibi-Chibi enters and the group try to get some more information out of her, but to no avail. Mamoru reminisces about being in the hospital as a child, and picks up a guitar. Chibi-Chibi says "memory" and "song". Mamoru asks her what she wants to hear, and she replies with "the song of this planet". He plays her the song he remembers from the hospital ("Kaze no Shijin"). A mysterious masked soprano interrupts and sings the final verse and chorus. The woman lingers and speaks of strange stars falling on a certain day. She is joined by four other mysterious figures. She sounds familiar to Mamoru, but he can't quite seem to place it. Usagi enters, and the mysterious people prepare to attack. Three mysterious Sailor Senshi, the Sailor Starlights, enter and drive the attackers away. The trio warn Usagi to treat everyone who approaches her as an enemy before disappearing.

Galaxia arrives, unimpressed with the power of the Silver Crystal. She taunts Moon with the threat of destroying the Solar System. The Starlights arrive and tell everyone that Galaxia is responsible for destroying their home planet. They attack her, but Galaxia and the Animamates shrug it off. Galaxia is pleased with the conflict before her. She calls the Starlights "trash" as the rest of the Senshi move to protect them. The Starlights try to tell Moon that Galaxia cannot be reasoned with. They tell her about their home, Planet Kinmoku, a peaceful planet which was ruled by the compassionate Princess Kakyuu until the planet was destroyed by Galaxia. The Starlights followed Kakyuu's star seed to Earth. Galaxia and the Dark Kingdom continue to attack. Galaxia is about to take the Senshi's Star Seeds when Chibi-Chibi floats in, urging them to not lose hope. The Starlights catch a familiar scent - it is Princess Kakyuu, who reveals herself at last ("Toki Michite Kourin").

The Dark Kingdom regroup at Galactica Palace, headed by a now fully revived Queen Beryl ("Tenkuu no Utage"). Kunzite apologizes for not taking Endymion's Star Seed, but Queen Beryl brushes it off. They gloat about how Galaxia lost her bearings. Beryl observes that Galaxia didn't fear Kakyuu - rather, she feared Chibi-Chibi. She orders the Shitennou to go after Chibi-Chibi. The Animamates enter and taunt them for having to resort to schemes, rather than taking what they need by force. A furious Galaxia enters and sends everyone off after the Sailor Crystals ("Galaxia no Dokusai").

On the rooftop of Juuban High School, Princess Kakyuu reunites with the Three Lights ("Kakyuu-Ouhi to Three Lights"). The trio argue about what they should do now, and Kakyuu tells them to believe in her and the Silver Crystal. Usagi and Ami arrive on the rooftop. Usagi congratulates the Three Lights on finding their princess. She thinks that they are going back to Kinmoku, and Seiya corrects her, saying that this planet will be destroyed. Ami tries to protest that the Solar System Senshi have it under control, but Yaten doesn't believe it. Princess Kakyuu formally introduces herself to Usagi; she has been looking forward to meeting the holder of the Silver Crystal. She apologizes for the Three Lights' rudeness and tells Usagi that she came to Earth because Usagi is the only one who can save the galaxy. Ami apologizes and asks Kakyuu about Galaxia. Galaxia was originally from a distant planet. Some time ago, she began attacking planets and building the Shadow Galactica empire while stealing Sailor Crystals. The Animamates are not true Sailor Senshi; they are bodies of those taken advantage of by Galaxia and are controlled by the bracelets that they wear. Kakyuu believes that Galaxia's aim is fixed on Usagi because she holds the Silver Crystal. Sudden loud noises are heard. The city is under attack and is being destroyed bit by bit. It's a declaration of war. Kakyuu declares that it is time to go to Shadow Galactica, and she guides the group there.

On a hill overlooking the city, Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Senshi gather and observe the destruction. They acknowledge that what they are about to do is dangerous, but agree that at least one of them must survive for Sailor Moon's sake. They are attacked just as they try to teleport. Tuxedo Mask stays behind and is approached by Queen Beryl. He confronts her about her "delusions" of the past. The Shitennou join her with Chibi-Moon in tow. They threaten Chibi-Moon's life, so Tuxedo Mask willingly gives up his Star Seed to protect her. With his Star Seed in hand, the Dark Kingdom go back to Galactica Palace ("By Heaven! Kami Nomi zo Shiru").

The Inner Senshi and Animamates confront each other. The Inner Senshi want to know what the Animamates are fighting for. Venus tries to reason with them, but Lead Crow rejects her, and they attack. Galaxia arrives and joins the fight ("Get Across The Moon (What For! Shinjitsu no Kajitsu Ver.)"). Sailor Moon arrives with the Starlights and Kakyuu. Moon tries to attack, but it is ineffective. The Animamates offer the Senshi Galaxia's bracelets, but they refuse out of loyalty to Sailor Moon. Galaxia takes their Star Seeds ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Sailor Moon lets out a scream of despair. The Outer Senshi arrive too late to save the Inner Senshi. Moon begins to lose hope of defeating Galaxia, and the Outers begin to fight Galaxia and the Animamates.

The Dark Kingdom interrupt the skirmish to ask about Galaxia saving the Earth for them. Galaxia brushes them off. They bring in Tuxedo Mask, who is now under their thrall, to Moon's shock. Since Beryl brought her the Star Seed of Earth, Galaxia now considers their business settled. Beryl agrees and attacks Galaxia with the help of Chibi-Moon's Silver Crystal. Galaxia reminds the Shitennou that she brought them back, and of the meaning of the bracelets. She taunts them with the fact that Moon can't even use the Crystal's full power, much less the Dark Kingdom. Galaxia attacks, and Pluto jumps in front of Beryl to protect her. Beryl is surprised by this act, and Pluto tries to offer her empathy due to their similar plights ("Onna no Ronsou"). Tuxedo Mask appears to come to his senses during their exchange. Sailor Saturn uses Silent Wall to send Beryl and Tuxedo Mask away. After some more fighting, Uranus and Neptune decide to side with Galaxia and put on the bracelets ("Orleans no Sei Senshi ~Uranus to Neptune no Uragiri~"). They briefly muse on their relationship before taking Pluto and Saturn's Star Seeds. When Galaxia orders them to take the rest of the Star Seeds, they turn the bracelets on Galaxia, only to discover that Galaxia lacks a Star Seed. Galaxia kills them for their disobedience.

Kakyuu calls Galaxia out for her actions and warns Moon that Galaxia is no longer human. Moon tries to stop Kakyuu from getting involved, but Kakyuu insists that she do this. Kakyuu tells Galaxia that the Senshi have been sacrificing themselves to release the Silver Crystal's power, and reveals to the Senshi that Galaxia's true goal must be to destroy everything. The Dark Kingdom arrive, now unencumbered by Pluto's interference, and are displeased. They present an unharmed Chibi-Moon and reveal that the crystal they presented earlier was fake. They attack Galaxia, who shrugs it off. Kakyuu attacks Galaxia in order to create an opening for the Starlights, but it fails, and Galaxia fatally attacks both Beryl and Kakyuu. Beryl releases Earth's Star Seed before she dies. Kakyuu maintains her defiance as she dies ("Teikou no Hana").

The entity, Sailor Chaos, arrives. Moon refuses to give up and vows to defeat this heart of evil. Chibi-Moon calls out to Chibi-Chibi, who enters and reveals that she is Galaxia ("New Mou ii no"). She approaches Sailor Chaos, who tries to back away. Moon hears Galaxia's voice warn her of the will of the darkness. Tuxedo Mask returns and returns the Shitennou to normal. The Shitennou kneel before him and exchange apologies. Chaos is heard once more. Now that it has been released from Galaxia's body, it has become true Chaos. With Galaxia's disappearance, the Senshi return. Chaos arrives with Queen Metalia (using Beryl's appearance), and the final battle begins ("Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai").

Eternal Sailor Moon defeats Chaos and Metalia. Kakyuu returns, along with Chibi-Chibi, and Kakyuu calls Moon the light of hope. Kakyuu says that the enemies drawn to her were seeking friends, and Moon says that it is because everyone is alone and seeking each other ("Densetsu Seitan").

Outside of Juuban Municipal High School, the girls sing "Chikyuu Iro wa Salad Time," and express their delight that school is out for summer vacation. Ami, Setsuna, and Haruka bring down the mood a little, however, when they announce that everyone will be getting a special training schedule for the summer to improve their skills as Sailor Senshi. As the girls are discussing their faults which need correcting, Chibi-Usa and Mamoru arrive. Mamoru introduces two foreign exchange students from Sumatra, Cern and Serpen, with whom he has made arrangements for an overseas trip for their special training. Cern and Serpen say that their ancestors were people of Artuka, an ancient kingdom, of which only Kaguya Island remains. The two of them add that jewels were recently discovered on the island. The girls become immediately excited about the trip and rush off to get packed; once they are gone, however, Cern and Serpen exchange meaningful looks.

Kraken and Selkie report to Loof Merrow that the holder of the Silver Crystal is among those invited to Kaguya Island. Loof Merrow is pleased that her chance has finally come to revive her people and stop Dark Plasman, and she sings about her plans ("Onna Kaizoku no Sakusen"). The group makes plans to prepare a ship to transport the Sailor Senshi to the island, and talk about the imminent arrival of the comet Coatl. At the heart of the comet is the being known as Dark Plasman who, five thousand years ago, tried to destroy the Earth, but was stopped by "Princess Moon." In the process, however, Princess Moon allowed Artuka to be destroyed. The survivors are now prepared for revenge as Coatl returns to the Earth.

Inside of the comet Coatl, Dark Plasman observes that he has arrived back at the Earth, and orders his minions to prepare ("Suisei Coatl no Hibou"). Once alone, Dark Menorah sings about her plans, then the scene changes to the deck of the passenger ship, where the girls are all very excited about their trip ("Ankoku no Menorah ~ Yume wo Kaimasu Shima no Tabi"). As they discuss the features of the ship, the captain makes a brief appearance on deck and charms the girls. After she has left, Chibiusa asks about Ami's telescope, and she explains about the rare sudden appearance of a comet. Ami then lectures at length about the nature of comets, and Usagi wonders if this comet, Coatl, might have visited the planet in the past.

In the Transylvania forest church ruins, Vampir is quietly reflecting ("Koshuuki"). She is eventually joined by four young girls and Le Fay. Le Fay declares that it is Vampir's duty to take revenge on those responsible for Count Dracul's death, but Vampir refuses, saying that she is not a monster. A voice says that there is no such thing as monsters. A woman enters, holding a staff, flanked by four other people (Marquise de Brinvilliers, Gilles de Rais, Lilit, and Lilim). Gilles de Rais states that the forest creatures see humans as monsters. The woman with the staff insists that Heaven has selected Vampir as the leader of the vampires, but Vampir refuses again. The woman warns her that Vampir's defiance will lead to her clan's ruin. The man kneels and refers to himself as Vampir's servant. The other newcomers want to celebrate, and even offer Vampir a drink. Vampir refuses again, but the woman with a staff (Lilith of Darkness) declares that she cannot reject the fate that was decided by Heaven. Lilith utters an incantation and uses her blood in a ritual to invoke Samuel's power. de Brinvilliers, Gilles de Rais, Vampir, and Le Fay all drink from the glasses that she gives to them. Lilith claims that destroying the Silver Crystal will free Vampir's mother from the underworld and insists that if God were real, no living thing would suffer. Separating the underworld from the mortal realm, is, in her terms, unacceptable, and the Ginzuishou is doing just that. She claims that Sailor Moon is the source of calamity. Gilles de Rais asks Vampir to destroy the Silver Crystal. Lilith imbues the four children present with the power of the Samael (disregarding Vampir's protest), and they become the Samael Quartet ("Yume Yume Utagau Koto Nakare").

Michiru and Haruka perform a violin and piano duet. The Three Lights then take the stage and perform their own song ("Chasin' After You"). The MC arrives and thanks the performers for participating in the Azabu Juuban Municipal High School Music Festival. Michiru, Haruka, and the Three Lights congratulate each other, and when Seiya shakes Haruka's hand, she feels the aura of the stars emanating from him. As the two groups go their separate ways, Haruka ponders who those three might really be. The MC introduces the next performers: the Chou Very Bad Mates ("It's Chou Very Bad"). During the performance, Shadow Bee uses a pair of scissors to short out the electricity, making the stage go completely dark. The project manager, Usagi, discovers a fire has started and Seiya extinguishes it for her. Makoto, Minako, Rei, and Ami also discover that one of the wires has been cut. Rei blames Usagi for not being careful enough and the girls start arguing. The Chou Very Bad mates then start complaining about the situation, but Usagi tells them to go wait either backstage or at the nearby aquarium.

The other girls are disappointed to have lost their chance to sing, but Ami reminds them that today is only a rehearsal. They all start raving about the Three Lights' performance, making Rei jealous that the others get to have celebrities at their school. Usagi comes back and declares that she will be singing with Seiya at the main event tomorrow instead of them because Seiya requested it. The others call her selfish and refuse to let her, especially Ami, the biggest Three Lights fan of their group. Upset, Usagi resigns and says she's going home. The girls start to feel bad about their behavior, remembering that Usagi must be feeling really lonely since Mamoru is studying abroad and Chibiusa returned to the 30th Century. They resolve to perform with just the four of them, and ask the MC to pick which of them has the best voice. He chooses Ami and Rei.

Elsewhere, the MC speaks ominously about the fate of shooting stars and gleefully declares that, due to today's accident, the rehearsal was cancelled.

On the rooftop of the school, the Three Lights talk about the person they are searching for and wonder if she will ever hear their song. They resolve to keep their true identities concealed until they find her. Hearing somebody coming, they hide. Usagi arrives and sadly reads a postcard from Mamoru aloud. Meanwhile in America, Mamoru is also feeling sad and misses his girlfriend terribly ("Lonely Distance"). Setsuna arrives and cheers Usagi up, reminding her that she shouldn't be ashamed to cry if she feels sad. The Three Lights emerge from hiding and Usagi excitedly asks for an autograph. The idols explain that they often come here to admire the stars, and Seiya says he wants to sing with Usagi because she reminds him so much of the one they are looking for. Feeling the aura of stars from them, Setsuna shields Usagi and demands to know who the Three Lights really are. The idols instead start to leave, even though Usagi asks them to stay, and suddenly Setsuna feels the Space-Time Door opening. A moment later Chibiusa lands on the roof in her pajamas, looking exhausted and worn. Usagi and Setsuna catch her, but faints before she can reveal what happened to her.

Elsewhere, the Sailor Animamates, MC Fly, Sailor Buttress, Shadow Bug, Shadow Bee, and Shadow Mantis talk about their plan to use the festival to find the bearers of true Star Seeds. Their main targets are the Three Lights, Michiru, and Haruka. They intend to create an accident to force the Sailor Senshi to transform, in order to discover their true identities and take their Sailor Crystals ("Star Hunter").

At the school infirmary, Setsuna informs the girls that Chibiusa is going to be all right, and as they wonder what could have caused her injuries, Setsuna tells them that she found a shawl belonging to Neo-Queen Serenity around Small Lady. They wonder if new enemies might have appeared in the 30th Century. Although Usagi acts annoyed, Setsuna is convinced that she's actually glad to see her future daughter again. Chibiusa begins whispering "Mama" in her sleep and in a flashback, Neo-Queen Serenity is attacked by Sailor Galaxia. Usagi simply believes Chibiusa got angry at her mother and ran away, much to the dismay of the others. Haruka and Michiru arrive in the room and inform the others that they were just attacked by shadowy figures. MC Fly enters and declares that members of the bands are being attacked one by one and that someone must be doing it to prevent the concert from happening. He leaves, and Michiru, Haruka, and Setsuna declare their suspicion that the Three Lights are behind this. Another MC Fly appears in the back of the room and agrees that those three are very suspicious. Usagi is convinced that they are not bad people, however, and together with her four friends she starts an investigation of the concert hall. As the girls, soon joined by Hotaru, search for clues, the Animamates drop evidences pointing to the Three Lights ("Sailor Busters"). MC Fly reappears and the girls report their findings: many places and objects around the concert hall have either been tampered with or sabotaged. Ami reports that her supercomputer detected the presence of many suspicious individuals, and Rei concurs that she also felt many wicked auras. They also found the items belonging to the Three Lights that were planted for them to find. The MC tries to convince them that those items prove the involvement of the idols in this mystery, but Ami finds animal hair belonging to the Animamates (fox, mouse, cat, and frog). This discovery prompts MC Fly to flee and the girls rejoice that the Three Lights are not the real culprits, until Usagi reveals that she did feel the same aura of the stars that the idols possess.

They hear Chibiusa scream, and another MC Fly enters and tells them to hurry to the roof. Although Usagi is confused about this other MC, she quickly follows the other girls to Chibiusa's rescue. On the roof, Chibiusa is fighting the Shadows until Sailor Pluto, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune arrive and drive them off ("Fukitsu na Kaze ~ Fukkatsu wa Higeki no Zenchou"). The Sailor Animamates appear and overpower the Outer Senshi until Sailor Saturn and the Guardian Senshi join them. Sailor Buttress arrives and summons MC Fly, who appears in his real form and fells all the Sailor Senshi at once, but Super Sailor Moon shows up and introduces herself. MC Fly introduces himself in return and presents the Sailor Senshi from Shadow Galactica. The girls are shocked to learn that their new enemies are Sailor Senshi with their own Sailor Crystals who plan to take theirs for their leader, Sailor Galaxia. MC Fly and Sailor Moon begin fighting, then both sides use group attacks against one another. The Shadow Galactica members seem to be more powerful, but the Sailor Starlights appear and Sailor Star Fighter uses her powers to repeal the entire evil army. The Senshi of this Solar System and the Sailor Starlights introduce themselves and their missions and, although defensive at first, they all agree to work together under the common cause of protecting those they love. Chibiusa reappears and tries to warn to others about a danger in the 30th Century, but before she can finish Sailor Galaxia arrives and attacks the girl, and she collapses ("Sailor War Supreme").

In Shadow Galactica, the assembled Animamates declare that they have conquered 80% of the Milky Way and all that remains are the Solar System's planets. Their leader, however, is displeased that they are still making her wait. Galaxia asks her prisoner, Neo-Queen Serenity, if she has changed her mind, but the queen replies that she will never submit to Galaxia because people cannot be controlled by force. Galaxia replies that force is the only thing that unites the galaxy and that she'll make them all bow down to her ("Galaxia no Dokusai"). Sailor Buttress informs Galaxia that an incredibly strong power protects the queen, and Galaxia resolves to altering history so that the present-day Moon Princess will never become this world's future ruler.

Hotaru and Chibiusa arrive at the Music Festival live performance, but Chibiusa is still worried because since she collapsed she feels like she has forgotten about something very important. Hotaru reassures her that she'll remember sooner or later, and they both enjoy Makoto, Minako, Ami, and Rei's performance ("Light ni Aventure"). After their song, the girls introduce the Three Lights, while MC Fly gives a bouquet of flowers to a disguised Sailor Buttress and the singers begin their performance ("See Me, Boku-tachi no Jidai"). They then introduce Usagi who, although nervous, performs with all her heart ("Knockin' Down Hesitation"). Then, Buttress gives the bouquet to Seiya, who intends to give it to Usagi as a "thank you" from the group. The other MC Fly warns her not to take it, however, and the Outer Senshi arrive and throw the bouquet away before it explodes.

The former MC Fly comes back and traps the Sailor Senshi in a subspace area. The Animamates and Shadows arrive and Usagi recognizes them. Galaxia appears and demands to know who the group is protecting, and Pluto replies that Usagi is their princess. MC Fly informs the Senshi that they will take their Sailor Crystals so that Galaxia may become ruler of the galaxy. Chibiusa retorts that as the future queen, Sailor Moon is the true ruler. In return, MC Fly presents their captive, Neo-Queen Serenity, and Galaxia declares that their future is already no more. Chibiusa remembers that Galaxia is the one who attacked her mother. Makoto and Minako attempt to transform, but Galaxia sends them and Usagi elsewhere. Galaxia prepares to destroy the remaining Sailor Senshi, but the Three Lights interrupt her, and she instead uses her powers to bend space and time, scattering everyone to different locations. Pluto holds on to Chibiusa and Hotaru and stops time, despite the other girls warning that it will kill her. It seems to work for a moment, but then Pluto's and Galaxia's powers clash together, and Pluto is knocked away while Hotaru and Chibiusa land together somewhere in the Genroku era.

Both girls wake up and as they wonder where they are, they hear the sound of people approaching. A group of people dressed in kimono appear and begin a traditional Japanese dance, and a young nobleman arrives, blindfolded and playfully trying to catch the dancing girls. Chibiusa and Hotaru notice that three of the girls look exactly like Rei, Minako, and Makoto, while the nobleman looks just like Mamoru. Surprised by their strange clothing, the others wonder who Chibiusa and Hotaru might be. The two girls find out that they have just arrived in the middle of Azabu Castle's art festival, somewhere in the Edo Period. A young girl who looks just like Ami arrives, being pursued by a swordsman. Chibiusa and Hotaru try unsuccessfully to defend the girl, and are saved by the arrival of "Usanosuke Isshin," a self-declared pretty boy fishmonger of love and justice. Chibiusa exclaims that he must be Usagi's previous incarnation, and a fight ensues between him and the villain. Usanosuke is initially successful, but when he strikes a pose with his pole he gets stuck, and Hotaru remarks that no matter the era, Usagi is always clumsy. The nobleman returns and engages the villain in combat, finally driving him off. The girl who looks like Ami thanks the ones who helped her, and Chibiusa gives her medicine to heal her sick father. Usanosuke declares his admiration for the young lord, and the two realize they share a fateful connection with each other. Usanosuke gives Chibiusa and Hotaru his carrying pole, believing it will somehow end up being helpful to them. The nobleman invites the fishmonger to have tea with him and he gladly accepts. Chibiusa and Hotaru wonder if they will be stuck there forever when suddenly, time and space twist again. Thanks to the carrying pole and the assistance of the other MC Fly, they are able to stick together.

In the present time, the Three Lights, Uranus, and Neptune have regrouped, while elsewhere in the labyrinth of time and space, Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter are attacked and killed by Sailor Galaxia. Neptune feels them dying but tries to reassure herself. The Three Lights disagree; Taiki says that he clearly felt Galaxia's power and Yaten adds that their Sailor Crystals must have been taken away by now. Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury arrive and angrily refuse to believe that their comrades are dead. Mars convinces Uranus and Neptune to go look for them, and Mercury observes that if this place is a maze then there must be an exit somewhere. As the Sailor Senshi are leaving, Seiya asks if they will go even if it means losing their lives, to which they reply that their lives mean nothing to them if they can't protect their princess. Taiki remarks that their comrades died with the same dedication, and they finally reveal their true identity as the Sailor Starlights. Time and space abruptly distort again, and the Sailor Senshi are scattered once more.

Elsewhere in the maze, Usagi is trying to find her friends. She attempts to transform but it doesn't work, and Galaxia appears and mocks her, saying she is starting to like ruling this Solar System in her place. Usagi retorts that she and her friends are not the rulers here, simply the protectors. Galaxia remarks that all her "weapons" are meant to fight, but Usagi replies that her companions are not her weapons, but her precious friends. Galaxia laughs and Usagi wonders if Galaxia herself has any friends. She says that she doesn't understand why fellow Sailor Senshi should have to fight each other. Galaxia declares that a Senshi exists only to fight, and that she will show Usagi the last stand of her friends. Galaxia then uses her powers to let her see Mars and Neptune, but she can only watch and not act. Neptune tells Mars to use her sixth sense to find the exit. While Mars tries to concentrate, Sailor Tin Nyanko appears and tries to attack her, but Neptune steps in the way. As soon as Mars finds the exit however, Neptune is knocked down by the Animamate's power. Mars tries to fight off Tin Nyanko but is knocked down as well. Nyanko leaves, allowing Galaxia to have the final blow, but Neptune once again takes the attack and protects Mars. Sailor Neptune congratulates Mars and tells her even if she fails, Mars will be able to go on protecting their princess. As Neptune dies in Sailor Mars's arms, she calls out Sailor Uranus' name.

Elsewhere, Mercury attempts to analyze the place she and Uranus are in with the aid of her visor and computer. Uranus suddenly calls out Neptune's name, declaring that her lover has died. Mercury cannot believe this, but Uranus angrily replies that she of all people would know. Projections of the Sailor Animamates appear in mirrors around the two Senshi and begin taunting them. Despite Mercury's warning that those are simply illusions, Uranus attacks them, and her attack is sent right back to her. Mercury discovers where the reflections are coming from and sends her attack that direction, knocking down Sailor Pewter Fox, who mockingly congratulates her for seeing through their illusions and flies away, allowing Galaxia the final move. Uranus pushes Mercury down and takes the entire blast of power from Galaxia. Uranus dies in Mercury's arms, congratulating her and encouraging her to keep on protecting the princess.

After seeing this, Usagi is deeply shaken and begs her friends not to look for her anymore. Mercury and Mars realize they can hear her and each other but can't find one another. Usagi tells them to give up on her and save themselves. The girls firmly disagree, saying that without Usagi, their future will be no longer and that as long as Usagi lives, their dream will live on with her. Despite Usagi's wishes, they stand by their decision and reaffirm their everlasting love and devotion to Usagi. Galaxia appears and kills the two remaining Senshi. Elsewhere, as Sailor Pluto dies, her voice reaches her princess and tells her that even if the world disappears, her love will survive ("Sorezore no Elegy"). Faced with the deaths of all of her companions, Usagi cries out in grief and releases a burst of power.

In Shadow Galactica, Galaxia's minions rejoice at their capture of the Sailor Crystal Seeds and declare that all that remains is to get the Silver Crystal and Golden Crystal. Sailor Buttress tells them to be quiet, saying that Galaxia is trying to think. Galaxia wonders if her underlings could ever muster the kind of power her adversary just displayed. MC Fly feels someone approaching, and Galaxia realizes that the energy of grief and anger have allowed Sailor Moon to transform. The Sailor Senshi appears before them and orders them to return her friends' Sailor Crystals. The Animamates try to attack her, but Sailor Moon blasts them away. She says that she came here to fight, just like Galaxia wanted. Galaxia congratulates her on making this far, but wonders if Sailor Moon really believes she has what it takes to defeat her. Sailor Moon answers that she has nothing to protect anymore because Galaxia stole it from her, and for that she is unforgivable. Galaxia mocks her, saying that her friends' pathetic way of fighting led them to die in vain. This prompts Sailor Moon to blast Galaxia with her power, declaring that she's the first person Sailor Moon has ever hated. Galaxia rises and informs Sailor Moon that if both of their powers collide, the whole universe might be destroyed, but Sailor Moon replies that even if that should happen, at least she will have defeated Galaxia. The two prepare to engage in battle but a rose flies and interrupts them. The other MC Fly appears and takes off his disguise, revealing himself to be Tuxedo Mask. He takes Sailor Moon in his arms, calms her, and gently lays her down. He declares that hatred only calls out for more hatred and prepares to engage the villains ("A Knight for Sailor Soldiers"). MC Fly declares that he's been waiting to settle things with Tuxedo Mask; he takes off his own costume, revealing an outfit similar to Tuxedo Mask's, only white. The two begin fighting until MC Fly knocks Tuxedo Mask's cane away. Just in time a carrying pole lands in Tuxedo Mask's hands and he uses it to knock MC Fly away before Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Saturn make their entrance.

Chibi Moon wakes Usagi, telling her that she must go on to protect their future and her mother. The Starlights arrive and tell them not to worry about that, because they are just back from the future and Neo-Queen Serenity is fine. They are prepared to settle their grudge right now with Galaxia. Galaxia and her minions recognize the survivors of their attacks and are ready to take them on. Tuxedo Mask tries to reason with Galaxia, telling her that all this violence will only create more endless fighting. Galaxia retorts that all she has to do then is destroy all those who oppose her. Sailor Moon declares that she will fight to protect the future, but that she will not kill Galaxia. The battle begins and Sailor Moon transforms into Eternal Sailor Moon. Using the Eternal Tiare, she unites the powers of all the Sailor Crystal Seeds of the Solar System with Sailor Saturn's power and revives all the fallen Sailor Senshi. The girls rejoice at being reunited once more. Galaxia's minions turn to their leader for answers, but Galaxia herself seems in doubt. Sailor Moon explains that everyone has someone for whom they would gladly throw away their future, and wonders if Galaxia feels entitled to that.

Sailor Moon and her companions argue that there is not such a thing as a Senshi born only to fight, and though those of Shadow Galactica call them cowards, the Senshi are unaffected by the insult. They say that they are not "Hoshi no Senshi" (Soldiers of the Stars) as MC Fly says, but rather "Hoshi no Knight" (Knights of the Stars) who wish only to protect their princess and happiness, however small it might be. After both groups conclude they cannot understand each other, Sailor Moon tells her friends that even though she is afraid, she is ready to fight, and Galaxia orders her troops to attack. A battle ensues, and the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask use their powers to destroy Galaxia's minions. Sailor Galaxia repeats that only one of them can survive this battle, and Eternal Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon unite their powers into one final blast ("La Moon"). Although visibly affected by the attack, Sailor Galaxia still stands proudly; she declares that fighting will always call for more fighting before she flies away laughing. The Sailor Senshi observe the night sky as a multitude of shooting stars fly by. Sailor Moon remarks that those shooting stars are each someone's dreams, and as her friends call her name, she says that she wants to keep being only called simply "Usagi" as it reflects what she really wants to be: just a normal girl. She believes that those moments when she is just that simple girl are the ones in which she shines the most. The Sailor Senshi all sit together and hopefully reflect upon the battle they have just faced ("Densetsu Seitan").

* Later in Act 2, the Animamates leave the final blows to the Inner Senshi to Galaxia who allows them to have their last goodbyes with Usagi by way of "Sorezore no Elegy" before killing them in front of her.

The show opens on Usagi's dream ("Mystery Sagashi"). The dream grows dark as she hears the voices of the Dark Kingdom, including Queen Beryl. They announce that they have been revived and briefly appear before Usagi wakes up from her dream. In the morning, Luna is in a panic as she searches for a still-sleepy Artemis to tell him that the Dark Kingdom has revived. The cats then set off to tell the girls.

At a department store, the girls are shopping for swimsuits. They are joined by Usagi, who is late and still sleepy. Usagi tells the rest of the girls about her dream. She's initially panicked about the return of the Dark Kingdom, but eventually brushes it off as just a dream since they defeated the Dark Kingdom before. The group is joined by Haruna-sensei, who is also shopping for a swimsuit. Haruna-sensei suggests that they go to the beach with her ("Natsu wo Shimashou Vacation"). Rei senses something off about Haruna-sensei, and reveals her as a youma by using Akuryo Taisan. Haruna-sensei transforms into the youma Manneguin and summons a squad of similar youma. They prevent the Senshi from transforming with their attacks. Manneguin questions the girls about where the Silver Crystal is, but after getting nowhere, she threatens to drain their energy instead. She is interrupted by a rose thrown by Tuxedo Mask. He enters the fray and immobilizes the youma with roses ("Bara no Himitsu"). Luna and Artemis catch up to Usagi and confirm that the Dark Kingdom was indeed resurrected, but Usagi is still distracted by Tuxedo Mask. Luna tells her about the past, when she was Princess Serenity and Tuxedo Mask was Prince Endymion. Luna and Artemis get nostalgic as the scene fades to a flashback.

Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion dance together at a Moon Kingdom ball ("Waltz ni Koi wo Nosete"). The Sailor Senshi and Shitennou are also seen dancing together. The festivities are interrupted by news that Queen Beryl has manipulated the people of Earth into attacking the Moon Kingdom. Endymion attempts to rally everyone to fight off Queen Beryl, but the Shitennou attack the Inner Senshi as Queen Beryl confirms that they are under her control. The flashback ends when Usagi doesn't want to remember her sad past anymore and runs away.

Luna and Artemis go looking for Usagi in a park, but don't find her, so they set off to find the other four Senshi. Usagi meets up with the other senshi and wants to go to the beach, but the others are no longer so sure about going since youma have appeared again. Just then, Saitou goes backflipping past them. Minako reveals that he used to go to her school and she had a crush on him. The other girls push her into him, and he says that he remembers her as the cutest girl in school. He asks her if she likes anyone, and she answers in a rather roundabout way that he was her first love ("Namikimichi no Koi"). Saitou confesses that he went to the tree-lined road to see her, and he asks her to go to an amusement park with him.

Ami, Rei, and Makoto follow Minako and eavesdrop before they are discovered by Minako. Saitou introduces them to his gymnastics teammates, High School Students A, B, and C, and they pair off, leaving Usagi all alone ("Saikyou no Couple Gundan"). The four new couples then run off to an astrology booth to have their love fortunes told. Mamoru runs into Usagi at the amusement park and briefly teases her about being alone at an amusement park. Usagi starts to cry about being left alone again, so Mamoru dries her tears. Usagi mentions that she wants to go to the beach, and Mamoru offers to take her there once she's finished all of her summer vacation homework. She runs off crying since that won't happen until the end of summer, and Mamoru runs after her. Luna and Artemis are still looking for the senshi, but the amusement park crowds are making it difficult. Artemis complains about women being fickle and sentimental, and Luna scolds him for his out-of-date views on women ("Onna no Shinsou"). Artemis apologizes to her, and they resume their search.

The four couples enter the fortune-telling booth. The fortune-teller tells their love fortunes, which include someone having a grudge against them. Ami and Rei realize that something is off, and Rei realizes that she is cursing them. Just as she does, Usagi enters, and the fortune teller reveals herself as Queen Beryl. Beryl freezes the four Inner Senshi in place. The Inner Senshi call out for their boyfriends to help them, but they turn out to be the Shitennou in disguise. The Shitennou attack the Inner Senshi, demanding the Silver Crystal. Beryl demands the crystal from Usagi in exchange for her friends' safety, but Luna and Artemis enter to tell to tell her to not give it up. Tuxedo Mask arrives in time to stop Beryl from harming Usagi. He fights off the Shitennou and the Manneguin squad, but is struck down by Beryl and her staff. Beryl captures him and tells the Sailor Senshi to come to her castle with the Silver Crystal if they want him back before leaving. As the girls recover, Artemis tells them that the Dark Kingdom is once again at D Point, and Luna says that dark spots are now appearing on the sun. The girls resolve to stop the Dark Kingdom and the destruction of the world ("Sailor War").

At D Point, the Dark Kingdom has Tuxedo Mask affixed to a cross as they sing about how Beryl will engulf the world in darkness ("Yami Koso Utsukushii"). After they are done using Tuxedo Mask as bait, Beryl plans to make him into her husband. The Senshi arrive and fight Beryl, the Shitennou, and the DD Girls as Sailor Moon frees an unconscious Tuxedo Mask from his restraints. The Inner Senshi fight the Shitennou one-on-one. The Senshi deal each of them fatal blows, but the Shitennou manage to take the Senshi out with them as Sailor Moon looks on in horror. Tuxedo Mask, barely awake, tells Sailor Moon to leave and return to being a normal girl. Beryl approaches from behind Sailor Moon to kill her, but Tuxedo Mask pushes her out of the way and takes the blow instead. He apologizes to Sailor Moon for not being able to show her the sunset at the beach as the sunlight disappears and Beryl gloats.

Beryl gloats further about her world of darkness. Sailor Moon hears her friends' voices, but when she calls to them, there is no reply. Moon says that she will never forgive Beryl, but Beryl knocks her down and tells her that the world is an evil place, which is why she could gather so much energy. Sailor Moon declares that she believes in love, trust, and friendship, produces the Cutie Moon Rod, and resolves to use the Silver Crystal to stop Beryl, even at the cost of her own life. Beryl attacks her again, but Sailor Moon imagines her friends lending her power. She thanks them and uses Moon Princess Halation to defeat Beryl. Before disappearing, Beryl reminds her that she will be revived so long as there is hatred in human hearts.

Luna and Artemis see the sky clear, but are afraid that Usagi is dead. Luna runs to check on her, and Artemis follows. Sailor Moon is dying at D Point. She wishes that she and her friends can return to normal lives before she collapses and dies. Luna and Artemis arrive at the D Point, searching for the Senshi to no avail. Just as they are about to give up, Luna looks up at the moon. The five senshi, as well as Tuxedo Mask, are resurrected by the Silver Crystal, and everyone celebrates. The show ends with "La Soldier".

The Death Busters (consisting of Professor Tomoe, Kaolinite, the Death Mannetjes, and the Death Nightmares) are preparing for action in their lair ("Talisman wo Sagase"). The Professor has successfully created a Daimon Egg, which they plan to use to search for the Talismans. When their machine detects a Pure Heart, the Professor sends out a Daimon Egg, and Kaolinite orders the Death Nightmares to follow it.

Usagi and Mamoru are out on a date, taking a boat ride on a lake ("Gondola no Koibito-tachi"). Just when things are getting romantic, their date is interrupted by Chibi-Usa's arrival ("Matamata Chibiusa Desu"). She has been sent from the 30th century by Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion to train as a Sailor Senshi, although she seems mostly interested in hanging out with Mamoru, much to Usagi's chagrin. Suddenly, the water in the lake freezes solid. Their boat transforms into the Daimon Gondola and the Death Nightmares appear and attack them. Gondola takes Chibi-Usa's Pure Heart Crystal, but is thwarted by the arrival of Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. Destroying Gondola, they drive away the Death Nightmares ("Chou Bi! Uranus to Neptune") and return Chibiusa's Heart Crystal when they see that it is not a Talisman.

Ami has been feeling restless lately. She wants to test herself and is thinking about moving to Germany to study medicine. It turns out that she is not alone in her feelings: Rei has had thoughts of meditating in Tibet, Makoto wants to learn real Chinese cooking in China, and Minako has received an offer to join an international tour with the national volleyball team ("Dream Yume wa Ookiku"). Hearing their dreams, Ami decides to go through with her plan. When Usagi, Mamoru, and Chibiusa join up with them, it irritates Usagi that Chibi-Usa gets the girls' sympathies and attention, and she blames them for not being there when the enemies attacked (even though she had told them to stay away on her date). While they argue, the Death Mannetjes try to infiltrate the group to kidnap Ami, disguised as Phobos, Deimos, Haruka and Michiru. The attempt fails miserably and a fight ensues, during which Usagi is mostly chasing Chibiusa around. She gets scolded for this afterwards and storms off. The others decide to go home. Chibi-Usa lingers outside the shrine for a while, wondering why those men seemed to be after Ami, and is ensnared by the Death Nightmares. Kaolinite successfully provokes Chibi-Usa ("Chouhatsu"), luring her into following them to the Death Busters' lair.

Professor Tomoe is not pleased. The Death Nightmares ("Muma no Odori") failed to bring Chibiusa's Heart Crystal and lost the Daimon Gondola, and the Death Mannetjes came running from a fight with a group of ordinary girls. They try to appease him with the news of Ami's pure heart, but it turns out Kaolinite is already aware of that fact and has secured bait. Sailor Chibi Moon comes out of hiding. She puts up a fight and dodges the Death Mannetjes before Kaolinite seizes her. Tuxedo Mask appears and tries to save Chibi Moon, but the Death Busters retreat behind an energy screen and disappear with her into the shadows.

Rei, Makoto, and Minako meet up with Usagi to inform her about their plans to move away. She is horrified at the thought of being left alone and asks if it is because of her behavior. They tell her that Ami could not bear to face her and say goodbye; she has already gone to the airport. Usagi runs away, yelling that she will not accept that. Usagi arrives at the airport and looks for Ami but is unable to find her. Despairing, she begins to surrender to the notion of being left behind by everybody ("Tabidachi"). Suddenly she hears Ami scream her name over the communicator - Kaolinite found her first. Usagi tries to go to her, but is stopped by the Death Nightmares. Tuxedo Mask appears and fights them back...and then four more Tuxedo Masks show up, singing "Tuxedo Mission". The Death Mannetjes have arrived. Tuxedo Mask tells her that Chibiusa has been captured, but the five talk and move in the same way and Usagi cannot tell who is the real one. When she finds one with the voice and scent of her Mamoru, he claims to be one of the fakes and points out another who is wearing a misanga (promise bracelet) identical to Usagi's from their date. This Tuxedo Mask protests, but the others beat him badly and throw him out a window, declaring Tuxedo Mask dead.
Usagi is stricken with grief and despair. She finds Ami lying on a flight of stairs, her pure heart stolen. Ami asks Usagi's forgiveness for leaving without saying anything, and then slumps down lifeless. Uranus and Neptune arrive to see that they are too late, so they head for the Death Busters' base.

Professor Tomoe gloats triumphantly over Ami's Heart Crystal. He sees that the Death Mannetjes are still dressed as Tuxedo Mask and tells them they can now remove their disguises. They do so, except one - the real Tuxedo Mask slipped his misanga onto Death Ru's wrist. Tuxedo Mask fights them, demanding that they release Sailor Chibi Moon and the Heart Crystal, but surrenders when Kaolinite threatens to kill Chibi Moon. The Death Mannetjes' leader Death Ra powers up; his new form resembles that of a pro wrestler. Uranus and Neptune appear. Tuxedo Mask tries to help them fight, but they are no match for Death Ra's brute strength. Princess Serenity appears. Serenity tries to protect the others with her own body while she pleads with the Death Busters to stop their hatred and violence. They merely laugh at her and continue to manhandle Tuxedo Mask, Uranus, and Neptune. Kaolinite beats Sailor Chibi Moon and is just about to kill her and Serenity when Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Venus make their entrance.

A battle ensues. Sailor Uranus seizes Ami's Heart Crystal, sees that it is not a Talisman and sends it off. The Death Mannetjes and Death Nightmares fall in combat one by one. However, Kaolinite rises up in a new powerful form (her dress becomes a huge red curtain across the stage backdrop), striking down the Sailor Senshi with lightning. Death Ra grabs Chibi Moon and holds her up before Kaolinite, who sends crackling bolts of energy through her. Serenity screams as Death Ra coolly hands over Chibi Moon's lifeless body. Trying in vain to wake her, she shouts "Unforgivable!" and transforms into Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon unleashes her Moon Spiral Heart Attack on Kaolinite, vaporizing her. Professor Tomoe sees that the Death Busters have lost - only he and Death Ra are left. He rises, holding the egg of a Daimon Atomic Bomber that will blast them all to oblivion. Just then, Sailor Mercury appears and blows the remaining enemies offstage.
However, Chibi Moon shows no sign of life and Sailor Moon is overwhelmed with grief, regretting her own lack of action and blaming herself for the little girl's death. From somewhere nearby, the Senshi hear the professor's voice taunting them. He says the hatred she feels in her heart is what will make the Daimon Atomic Bomber hatch and explode.

The others try to get Sailor Moon to pull herself together. They remind her that she came there to protect those that she loves and tell her that they all believe in her. Sailor Moon gradually begins to respond, remembering King Endymion's words. Professor Tomoe appears on a tall ledge, enraged by their talk of love and courage. With the enemy in sight, the Senshi vow to combine their power ("Sailor War '94"). Just as the nuclear Daimon begins to hatch, Sailor Moon raises her Spiral Heart Moon Rod, and together they make their Sailor Planet Attack. A violent discharge of flashing energies surges through the lair, followed by an even more blinding aftershock.

When at last the air clears, the Senshi are still poised in what little is left of the Death Busters' lair. Sailor Moon lowers her Heart Moon Rod with a sigh - and Sailor Chibi Moon wakes up. She says she had a dream where her mama told her that she was doing well. Sailor Moon and she hug each other. In the shadows, the Death Busters are puzzled to find themselves alive; Sailor Moon's final attack revived them instead of killing them off. Professor Tomoe says the Senshi will regret having saved them, because the battle will continue. Sailor Moon rises to her feet and replies that the Senshi will be ready for them. And when that time comes, they will learn that nothing is resolved through battle, only through love.

Sailor Chibi Moon returns to the 30th century, and the Senshi see a glimpse of her standing together with her parents and waving goodbye. The Sailor Senshi then sing "L'Amour D'Amour Moonlight."

In a crystal forest within Chibi-Usa's dreams, Pegasus is attacked by a mysterious girl who saps away his energy, but Chibi-Usa arrives and promises to protect him. Pegasus thanks his beautiful maiden, and they sing about their fated meeting while elsewhere, Usagi and Mamoru sing of their eternal love ("Double Moonlight Romance").

The dream fades, and Chibi-Usa and Usagi find themselves in a real forest. The girls had organized a picnic for Chibi-Usa, and Usagi is annoyed that she had wandered off and made the others search for her. Chibi-Usa apologizes, and Usagi admits that she also got lost in the forest while going to look for her. They begin arguing until the others find them, thanks to the candies Usagi unknowingly dropped behind her. They settle down for their picnic and begin having fun together ("Mori de Tanoshiku"), but when they go to eat, they find their food has disappeared. Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako immediately accuse Usagi, and even Mamoru believes she's responsible. Three strange creatures appear then and, after the girls realize they are the true culprits, the three of them attack the Senshi. The beasts are called back to order by the crack of Tiger's Eye's whip, and the Amazon Trio arrive, taking responsibility for the usagizaru. They introduce themselves, announcing that the Dead Moon Circus is holding auditions that they are all welcome to attend ("Amazon Kara Circus Dan ga Yatte Kita"). The girls are all excited, promising to try out, but Chibi-Usa overhears the Trio talking about finding a person with a beautiful dream and is less enthusiastic.

The Amazon Trio reconvenes at the Cafe Bar Amazon and congratulate each other for fooling "those pumpkin girls," but wonder if any of them could really be the owner of a beautiful dream. Hawk's Eye assures them that Zirconia said it had to be one of them, but the Trio mourns the fact that none of the group is their type, at least until Fish Eye finds a picture of Mamoru. The others tease him for liking a guy, but Fisheye swears that he's simply sure that this man has a beautiful dream. Hawk's Eye points out that they, however, do not, and the Trio wonders why they seem to be the only ones without any dreams. Zirconia overhears the conversation and reminds them that they have to fulfill their mission and find the one hiding Pegasus in their dream ("Dead Moon no Kuroi Yume"). The mysterious girl arrives and Zirconia uses Zircon to imbue her with dark energy so she will be able to follow Pegasus into dreams, ordering her to hate and destroy everyone who has a beautiful dream and make their dreams disappear into the black hole inside her heart.

Later, Pegasus is being tortured by the mysterious girl within Chibi-Usa's dream as Chibi-Usa begs her to stop. Many Lemures surround her bed until Sailor Pluto arrives in her nightmare and repels them, but the girl knocks the Senshi aside. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune join in the fight and, with Pluto's help, they force their enemies to flee ("Fukkatsu! Crisis Yurusumaji"). Tuxedo Mask arrives and is shocked to see that the Outer Senshi have been revived. The three of them argue over the unknown girl and whether she is a threat, and they conclude that she can only be Sailor Saturn. Tuxedo Mask demands that they remain inactive until he says otherwise, but thanks them for protecting his daughter.

At the audition for the Dead Moon Circus, the Amazon Trio and their Pierrot show off their various skills before allowing the girls to try out. Makoto demonstrates her skill with linking rings, Ami impresses the crowd with her ball-walking, Mamoru does acrobatics, and Minako dances, but Usagi fails horribly at all she tries, even sticking Tiger's Eye with a knife an accident. Rei arrives as Sailor Mars and uses her powers to pass the audition, though Usagi accuses her of cheating. Everyone gets in except Usagi, but the others beg the Trio to find a way to take her in anyway, because they were only tagging along with her in the first place. Usagi is put in charge of cleaning the place while everyone is hurried out of the room to go sign their contracts. Although disappointed at first, Usagi resolves to do her best as always ("Mop, Hop, Step, Jump").

A couple of circus workers arrive, bullying the mysterious girl. Although Hawk's Eye says it's part of her training to make her obedient, Usagi cannot stand to watch and chases the bullies away. The girl says Usagi shouldn't bother with her, but Usagi refuses to believe it's okay for her to be tormented like that. Usagi introduces herself, but the girl says she doesn't remember who she is. Usagi declares that from now on she will be the girl's friend, and asks about the locket she's wearing around her neck. The girl opens it, revealing it to be a music box, and says it was the only thing she had with her when she was found. They both sit on swings, and the girl says that she is "Miss Dream," a girl who sees beautiful dreams ("Miss Dream"). She and Usagi promise to meet again tomorrow.

Tiger's Eye and Ami meet late at night, and he begins flirting with her while the other girls spy on them. She tells him about her dream to become a doctor, and he says he would like to see more of that dream before he reveals his true form and attacks her. The other Senshi try to intervene but are grabbed from behind by Lemures. The rest of the Trio arrives and they examine the girls' Dream Mirrors, but do not find Pegasus. They order the Lemures to finish them off, as they must destroy every person with a beautiful dream, but Zirconia shows up and stops them. Miss Dream says the girls have powerful energies and Zirconia forces her to take away their dreams, making them servants of the Dead Moon.

As it turns out, however, Usagi was only sleeping this entire time and the Rabbit Show was nothing more than a dream. She wakes up, relieved that her scary fantasy is over. Makoto, Minako, and Rei arrive to check up on her cleaning, but they are mean to her, leaving Usagi very worried. Fish Eye arrives with Mamoru, and Usagi hides behind a trash can to spy on them. Fish Eye asks if Usagi is Mamoru's girlfriend, and he confirms it, saying that they're even married in the future. Fish Eye asks what is so great about her, and Mamoru says that she has many dreams, which confuses Fish Eye even more. He suggests to Mamoru that if bad people were after him and Fish Eye could protect him, perhaps he'd be willing to be Fish Eye's boyfriend then, even just as a pretense, but Mamoru believes that no one with dreams could be satisfied with a make-believe lover. Angered, Fish Eye prepares to attack, but the sound of a cat drives him away in a total panic. Usagi emerges from her hiding place, and the "cat" is revealed to be none other than Chibi-Usa. Chibi-Usa is sad that Pegasus has disappeared, but when Mamoru asks who he is, she doesn't know, though she believes that she shares a special connection with him. For this reason, she begs her father to protect Pegasus, to which he agrees. He then warns Usagi to be careful, as the Dead Moon Circus seems to be their new enemy. Chibi-Usa adds that the mysterious girl is their greatest opponent.

Miss Dream arrives, pursued by her bullies, and Usagi chases them away again. Ami enters the room and begins bullying Miss Dream as well. When Usagi asks what's wrong with her, Ami says that she's fed up being the kind and sweet girl everybody expects of her. Miss Dream says she grew up being deceived by the lies about love and justice and the other girls join in ("Ii Ko wa Yameta"). Usagi insists that they're wrong and wonders what has happened to them. Chibiusa accuses Miss Dream of deceiving them all, but Usagi swears that she'll protect this girl and everyone else because they are all precious to her. She begs her friends to recall their shared dream. Helped by the spirit of Neo-Queen Serenity, she makes them remember that they're all the princesses of their respective planets with a common mission ("Omoidashite Anata wo").

It works, and the girls soon remember that Miss Dream was the one responsible for their brainwashing, but even so Usagi insists that she's not a bad girl and they must believe in her. Uranus voices her disagreement as the Outer Senshi arrive, revealing that on the day of a total solar eclipse, the Space-Time Door opened and invaders of the Dead Moon appeared and created a dream black hole inside of Miss Dream. Sensing the dark energy, the three Senshi were revived and now have every intention to destroy that girl, regardless of the wishes of their prince and princess. Fearing for her life, Miss Dream attacks them all. Before the Outer Senshi can retaliate, Chibi-Usa summons Pegasus to their aid with the Crystal Carillon. He appears and puts the girl into a deep sleep, saying that if he enters her mind and brings back her beautiful dreams, it will most likely return her memory as well. Despite the danger of being sucked into the black hole, Chibi-Usa and Mamoru accompany Pegasus into the girl's dream world. Usagi begs her friends to trust in Pegasus, but as soon as he is inside the girl's mind, Zirconia appears, laughing triumphantly, and congratulates the Senshi for delivering Pegasus to the Dead Moon. She says that now that Pegasus is inside Miss Dream's dark and corrupted dreams, he has no chance of survival. She tries to wake the girl up, but Usagi interferes and Zirconia knocks her aside.

The Inner Senshi transform while the Outer Senshi fight the Amazon Trio. Zirconia realizes that they are the Sailor Senshi of the White Moon and sends a flock of Lemures to attack them. The monsters manage to overpower them until the Inner Senshi appear, and Sailor Moon swears she will protect Miss Dream because she has many beautiful dreams, like all humans. Fish Eye is once again confused and angered by all this talk of dreams, and Tiger's Eye sends more Lemures against the Senshi, but they unite their powers to repel the enemies. Pluto arrives and says that the girl is nowhere to be found. Zirconia declares that it is too late, as the members of the Dead Moon prepare to enter her dreams. Sailor Moon tries to stop them, but is not fast enough, and they find themselves alone in the circus with wild animals approaching. There is no way for them to enter the dream world without Pegasus, but Ami suggests that they concentrate on the girl's dream and make their hearts into one. The eight Sailor Senshi unite their powers and teleport into Miss Dream's mind.

Chibiusa tries to sneak away, but they catch her and release a band of usagizaru to attack her. Tuxedo Mask arrives in time to save her ("Tuxedo Loyal"), and begins battling the enemy until the Sailor Senshi appear.

A mysterious mirror appears behind him, and through Zirconia, the shadow of a woman within the mirror announces herself as the Queen of the Black Moon, Queen Nehellenia. She rejoices at this chance to finally speak with the Queen of the White Moon and her guardians. She accuses them of causing great grief to her Dead Moon clan in the past and says they are the real enemy. She declares that they cannot understand the pain of always being in the shadow, as they are always bathed in the light, but now she intends to rule the Earth under her era of darkness. Nehellenia unleashes her ultimate weapon, Miss Dream, who attacks despite Sailor Moon's best efforts to get through to her.

Tuxedo Mask tries to reason with Nehellenia, reminding her that she and Queen Serenity are mirror images of each other, but the evil queen retorts that the Moon doesn't need two rulers. Tuxedo Mask realizes that all the dark power Miss Dream is using against them is in fact Nehellenia's sadness, and says that he is ready to receive all of it. He urges the others to stay away and protect their dreams while he protects his - that is, Usagi. He receives blow after blow from Miss Dream until he is able to wrap her in his arms, calming her down and releasing her from Nehellenia's control, but is badly injured and collapses soon after. Sailor Moon rushes to his side, upset that he would jeopardize his safety like this for her. He reassures her that their love is forever no matter what happens, but she says that it doesn't matter if they can't always be together. He reminds her that she still has many people to protect and, as he dies in her arms he thanks everyone for all they've done and promises to always be near Usagi somehow, even if only in the form of a fiery wind. His last wish is to be reborn as a regular Mamoru with Usagi and share a normal happiness with everyone.

Usagi tries desperately to wake her dead love, calling him a liar and crying that her dream is dead. Zirconia returns, satisfied with this outcome, but Fish Eye asks his mistress why he and the rest of the Trio do not shed tears, and why they don't have dreams of their own like all humans. Zirconia replies that they are nothing more than animals granted human forms and prepares to destroy them, but Sailor Moon intervenes and defends the Trio, saying that if they were touched by Mamoru's kindness and understand her sadness, it means that they are human. Even when Zirconia offers to reveal their true from, Sailor Moon stops her, insisting that protecting all humans and all life is her mission. Zirconia orders the Trio to attack her, saying that if she had Pegasus's power, she could make their human form permanent. Sailor Moon demands that her Senshi let the Trio do as they want, because the dream that Mamoru gave them is to protect all life. Although the Trio seems to be willing to attack at first, at the last moment they turn around, shielding Sailor Moon and her friends. They declare that Zirconia is the real animal, because shape is meaningless and only the heart matters.

Angered, Zirconia unleashes the ultimate Lemures, who makes Mamoru's body disappear. The Trio tries to fight him off, protecting the Sailor Senshi at the same time, but they are quickly overpowered and trapped in a net. Before they are destroyed, the Trio offers their gratitude to Sailor Moon and say their last wish is to be reborn with many dreams and be friends with the Sailor Senshi in this next life. Zirconia laughs at the Trio's demise and Sailor Moon declares that she is unforgivable. The circus mistress orders her Lemures to attack, and Sailor Moon tells her Senshi that no matter what, they must protect Miss Dream. The girl wakes up and fells everyone with her powers and seems to be awakening as Sailor Saturn, but she manages to completely break the Dead Moon's hold over her and declares that she is only herself and no one else. Usagi agrees happily, saying she's just a normal girl who sees dreams, and goes to hug her.

More furious than ever, Zirconia summons Pegasus, threatening that she will bury all the Sailor Senshi in the darkness. Chibi-Usa begs him not to come, but he does so anyway. Zirconia offers the Senshi's life in exchange for the Golden Crystal, but Pegasus says that not even Zirconia's evil can defeat their purity. He offers the Sailor Senshi new powers, allowing Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon to upgrade to their "Super" forms. Zirconia is frustrated that they are still defying her and releases all of her Lemures. Armed with their new powers, the Sailor Senshi enter battle against the Dead Moon, until Sailor Moon is finally able to drive Zirconia and her Lemures away ("La Moon").

The battle is won, but Usagi still feels terrible because Mamoru is really gone and she was not even able to save the Amazon Trio. Pegasus arrives and says she's wrong, because the souls of the Trio are now with him in the forest of Elysion, and they are probably seeing many beautiful dreams right now, because anyone with dreams can be saved. Sailor Moon thanks Pegasus and, as she feels a fiery wind against her skin, she hears the voice of her beloved telling her that he was also saved because of this. His spirit appears and tells her that he has become King Endymion, and is now by Neo-Queen Serenity's side. He assures Usagi that their love is forever, and that the past and present will soon meet. The spirit of the Queen appears before them and gives the Sailor Senshi a hopeful message of love. The mysterious girl wakes up from her bad dream and joins the other girls who warmly welcome her as Pegasus flies by ("Over the Moon").[[/folder]]

The dream fades and Chibi-Usa finds herself in a forest, wondering what she was just doing and where she is now. She remembers going to a picnic with everyone and getting lost in the forest. Mamoru and Usagi find her and are soon joined by Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, and a group of forest creatures, including some usagizaru. They settle down in a clearing and begin having fun together ("Mori de Tanoshiku"), though Usagi tries to delay the picnic so the girls won't find out that she ate all of their lunches while she was looking for Chibi-Usa. When she opens the bag, however, she is surprised to discover that all the lunches are there. The crack of Tiger's Eye's whip echoes across the forest and the Amazon Trio appears, introducing themselves and declaring that those lunches are a gift from them. They announce that the Dead Moon Circus is holding up auditions at which they are all welcome ("Amazon Kara Circus Dan ga Yatte Kita"). Fish Eye is particularly interested in Mamoru trying out. The girls are all excited, promising to try out, but Chibi-Usa overhears the Trio talking about finding a person with a beautiful dream and is less enthusiastic.

The Amazon Trio reconvenes at their lair to discuss about the girls they've just encountered, and Hawk's Eye brags that his good looks will charm any woman. He and Tiger's Eye then begin arguing until Fish Eye cuts in and reminds them that they have yet to find out if those girls really hold beautiful dreams. Hawk's Eye says he's uninterested in them, while Tiger's Eye remarks that Ami is cute and Fish Eye has a big crush on Mamoru, which freaks out the other members seeing as they're both males. Their conversation drifts and they begin to wonder why they are the only ones without dreams, but Zirconia overhears and reminds them that they have to fulfill their mission and find the one in whose dream Pegasus is hiding ("Dead Moon no Kuroi Yume"). A mysterious girl arrives and Zirconia uses Zircon to imbue her with dark energy so she will be able to follow Pegasus into dreams, ordering her to hate and destroy everyone who has a beautiful dream and make their dreams disappear into the black hole inside her heart.

Later, Pegasus is being tortured by the mysterious girl within Chibi-Usa's dream as Chibi-Usa begs her to stop. Many Lemures surround her bed until Sailor Pluto, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune arrive in her nightmare and fight them off ("Fukkatsu! Crisis Yurusumaji"). Tuxedo Mask arrives and is shocked to see that the Outer Senshi have been revived. They inform him that baby Hotaru has disappeared, and not only does the mysterious girl have the same energy as she does, she also has the pendant that Sailor Pluto gave to Hotaru. They conclude that the enemy must have abducted Hotaru when they weren’t looking, erased her memory, and made her grow, which means that this girl is Sailor Saturn, a threat to them all. Tuxedo Mask demands that they remain inactive until he says otherwise, but thanks them for protecting his daughter.

He reassures her that their love is eternal, even if he were to disappear. While they sing about their love, the members of the Dead Moon sing about their dark dream to overthrow the White Moon, and the Outer Senshi sing about their mission to protect the Earth. Chibiusa runs after Miss Dream, begging her to stop hurting Pegasus, but the girl refuses to listen and eventually succeeds in making him disappear ("Triple Dreams").

The Dead Moon Circus presents their great "Usagi Rabbit Show," starring Usagi and her friends, who perform many impressive tricks. With ball-walkers, clowns, acrobats, jugglers, dancers, tamers, magicians, singers, and unicycle-riders the show is an amazing success ("Usagi Circus Show Time"). For the final performance Usagi stands on the edge of a stair, preparing for a leap into the darkness; after she gathers all of her courage she jumps, and all goes dark.

Tiger's Eye appears, welcoming the audience to the Dead Moon Circus. He informs them that while they are enjoying their evening, they are slowly entering the world of nightmares. He orders a Pierrot to destroy the exit so none of them can escape. He reassures everyone that it is nothing to be afraid of, since they're all going to become friends now and help the Amazon Trio spread the nightmares across the world. He concludes that all four of the Guardian Senshi are now the Dead Moon's allies, leaving only Usagi to take care of.

Zirconia orders the Trio to attack her, saying that if she had Pegasus's power, she could make their human form permanent. Although the Trio seems to be willing to attack at first, at the last moment their turn around, shielding Sailor Moon and her friends. They declare that Zirconia is the real animal, because shape is meaningless and only the heart matters.

Angered, Zirconia unleashes her ultimate Lemures and the Trio tries to fight him off and protect the Sailor Senshi, but they are quickly overpowered, trapped into a net and killed. The Lemures fells all the Senshi except for Sailor Moon, then Zirconia calls forth Queen Nehellenia to deliver her judgment upon the princess. Sailor Saturn appears then, saying that Zirconia will be the only one to face judgment. She uses her powers to revive Mamoru, release the souls of the Amazon Trio, and awaken the fallen Sailor Senshi ("To a Brand-New World"). She thanks Sailor Moon and orders Zirconia to get out of her dream.

Queen Nehellenia frees herself from her mirror and unleashes her dark curse. Everyone tries to fight it off, but Nehellenia gloats that they don't have enough strength left to see dreams. Armed with Mamoru's strength, Sailor Moon tries to go up against her on her own, but the queen attacks her and Sailor Moon collapses. The others beg for her to wake up, saying that she is their dream and that they can't go on without her. Sailor Mars tells the other Senshi to give all of their powers to Sailor Moon. After it fails, Mars begs the audience to call out Sailor Moon's name so it'll reach her. Sailor Moon slowly wakes up and the Golden Crystal begins shining in Mamoru's chest. The legendary Holy Grail appears, and it, along with everyone's powers, allows Usagi to become Eternal Sailor Moon. She thanks everyone, then warns Queen Nehellenia that she will soon be punished and will see the true power of everyone's beautiful dreams. The queen is frustrated that they are still defying her and releases all of her Lemures. The Sailor Senshi enter a great battle with the Dead Moon and are able to destroy Zirconia and all of the Lemures. Nehellenia fades into an old, wrinkled woman and declares that the Senshi haven't won yet and that this planet will definitely be hers, but Eternal Sailor Moon destroys her once and for all ("La Moon").

The battle is won, and Sailor Moon has reached her eternal form. Pegasus joins them and Mamoru remarks that his chest still feels warm, as though a star is being born inside his heart. Sailor Moon says that everyone has a star inside of them. She recalls her mother, Queen Serenity, telling her in their past life that when this star stops shining, it means the darkness will soon come back. Therefore, she encourages everyone to always let their star shine. The spirit of Neo-Queen Serenity appears and begins singing a hopeful message of love to the Sailor Senshi, who all join in ("Over the Moon").[[/folder]]

The show opens on Usagi's dream ("Mystery Sagashi"). The dream grows dark as she hears the voices of the Dark Kingdom, including Queen Beryl. They announce that they have been revived and briefly appear before Usagi wakes up from her dream. In the morning, Luna is in a panic as she searches for a still-sleepy Artemis to tell him that the Dark Kingdom has revived. The cats then set off to let the girls know.

At a department store, the girls are shopping for swimsuits. They are joined by Usagi, who is late and still sleepy. Usagi tells the rest of the girls about her dream. She's initially panicked about the return of the Dark Kingdom, but comes to brush it off as just a dream since they had definitely defeated the Dark Kingdom before. The group is joined by Haruna-sensei, who is also shopping for a swimsuit. Haruna-sensei suggests that they go to the beach with her ("Natsu wo Shimashou Vacation"). Rei senses something off about Haruna-sensei, and reveals her as a youma by using Akuryo Taisan. Haruna-sensei transforms into the youma Manneguin and summons a squad of similar youma. They prevent the Senshi from transforming with their attacks. Manneguin questions the girls about where the Silver Crystal is, but after getting nowhere, she threatens to just drain their energy instead. She is interrupted by a rose thrown by Tuxedo Mask. He enters the fray and immobilizes the youma with roses ("Bara no Himitsu"). Luna and Artemis catch up to Usagi and confirm that the Dark Kingdom was indeed resurrected, but Usagi is still distracted by Tuxedo Mask. Luna tells her about the past, when she was Princess Serenity and Tuxedo Mask was Prince Endymion, and she and Artemis get nostalgic as the scene fades to a flashback.

Usagi shows off the jewels that she found in the cave while Mamoru wants everyone to think about how to get off of the island. The cats show up again to ask for their jewels back. Usagi thinks that Chibi-Usa just wants the jewels for herself, and they quarrel for a bit. The Senshi split up to find shelter, firewood, and a way to send an SOS. Everyone agrees to meet at the beach at sunset. Chibi-Usa stays behind with the cats. The cats explain that they have been waiting for their mothers on this island for thousands of years. Their guardian is someone named "Kon", who is the one who possessed Hotaru. The cats are mostly hopeful, though Cook is getting impatient. Chibi-Usa tells them that mothers are not as great as they're making them out to be because all mothers do is scold their kids ("Okaa-san tte Nan Darou?"). The cats don't know what it means to be scolded, and they go on to reminisce about what little they remember of their mothers. The jewels that they wore were their mothers' crystallized tears. Chibi-Usa wonders if a "mother" is such a good thing after all. From afar, King Endymion sings about mothers needing to scold their children when they have been bad, and that a mother is someone who wishes for her children's happiness. After learning what the gems are, Chibi-Usa tells the cats that Usagi will definitely give them back. As thanks, the cats take her around the island.

Outside of the cave, Mick and Hook argue over whether the brooches they wear are shining or just reflecting the moonlight. Chibi-Usa interrupts them, and they are surprised she can understand their language. She asks where their mother is, and they reply that she has gone away, but she left them their brooches. The two sing about what they remember of their mother ("Okaa-san tte Nan darou?"). Mamoru arrives and chides Chibi-Usa for being out by herself late at night. Loof Merrow emerges from the cave and claims the cats as her own, and when Chibi-Usa asks if she can understand their language, Mamoru and Loof Merrow both laugh it off as a child's fantasy. Loof Merrow and Selkie offer to show them the ruins in the cave, and they follow the cats inside.

A group of pirates is seen in shadow before the scene changes to Azabu Juuban High School. Everyone is excited about summer vacation ("Chikyuu-Iro wa Salad Time"). However, there is still homework to be done, and Ami has organized a special training camp for everyone to work on their flaws. The group shares what their weak points are (with Usagi naturally having the most). Chibi-Usa and Mamoru join the group. Mamoru introduces them to Cern and Serpen, international students from Sumatra who are part of the Artuka tribe. He thinks that they could help with the training camp by turning it into an excursion. Cern and Serpen tell the group about Kaguya Island, the Artuka tribe's homeland. Apparently, jewels were discovered there about a year ago. Everyone gets excited for the upcoming trip, and they rush off to pack.

A female pirate appears with two subordinates, and she summons Cern and Serpen to join them. At last, it is time to put their plan into action ("Onna Kaizoku no Sakusen"). They intend to lure the Sailor Senshi to a certain cave on the island and do something to their powers. They explain that 5,000 years ago, Dark Plasman, the personification of the comet Coatl, appeared in the Solar System. He wanted to become a planet, so he destroyed asteroids and attacked the Earth, causing natural disasters. The moon was moved in front of Earth, leading to a great flood which destroyed their civilization. Now, Dark Plasman has reappeared in the Solar System, and the pirates intend to defeat him.

In space, Dark Plasman and his minions, Dark Menorah and Dark Mirror, have designs on the planet Earth ("Suisei Coatl no Hibou"). Dark Plasman sends Menorah to attack the Sailor Senshi and shares his desire to take the Ginzuishou and use its power to destroy the Earth, and take its place in the Solar System. Menorah sets off on her assignment and intends to attack the Senshi when they're at sea ("Dark Menorah ~ Yume wo Kaimasu Shima no Tabi").

On the boat the next morning, everyone is in high spirits about the trip. The captain of the ship introduces herself as Loof Merrow. Apparently, a comet called Coatl has suddenly appeared, so Ami uses the opportunity to teach everyone about the composition and movement of comets. According to her, it doesn't appear as if there is any record of a comet called Coatl, but one of the crew members enters and says that it is because it is incredibly old. She is introduced as Selkie, an archaeologist. Cern and Serpen tell the 5,000 year old legend of the comet with help from Selkie, one of the ship's crew members, and Loof Merrow.

The boat is engulfed in a sudden storm created by Dark Menorah and Dark Mirror, who attack everyone aboard. The Senshi try to transform, but to no avail. Dark Mirror recognizes the crew as the survivors of Artuka, and they engage in combat. Sailor Moon enters the fray, aided by the Outer Senshi and Tuxedo Mask ("Moonlight Justice"). They fight Menorah and Mirror on their own briefly before the rest of the Senshi arrive and they all perform the Sailor Planet Attack. To their surprise, it is ineffective. Dark Plasman appears and recognizes Sailor Moon as Princess Moon from so long ago. Plasman and Loof Merrow fight for control ("Arashi no Naka no Zenshousen"), ultimately resulting in the boat being carried to the island by the storm.

The Senshi begin to regroup on the strange island, observed by two cats, who are curious about the first humans they have seen in many years ("Natsukashii no wa naze?"). The Senshi find each other on the beach. The pirates enter in traditional Artuka clothing and perform a song and dance to welcome their guests to the island ("Toraware no Artuka"). Cern, Serpen, and Kraken lead the group to a house where they can stay for the night. Selfie and Loof Merrow talk about the recent battle and their plan. Elsewhere, Dark Plasman and Dark Menorah reflect on the progress of the plan and the last time they were on the island, respectively ("5000-nen Kaguya Shima (Dark Plasman-iri Ver.)"). Menorah wonders if the children she left on the island 5,000 years ago are still alive.

Mick and Cook's brooches shine, but they disagree as to whether the brooches are doing it themselves or just shining in the moonlight. Chibi-Usa interrupts their argument - it seems that she can understand their language and tell that they're only pretending to be cats. She asks them where their mother is, and they tell her that their mother went far away a long time ago, leaving them with jewel brooches ("Okaa-san tte nan darou?"). Mamoru finds Chibi-Usa and gently admonishes her for walking around alone at night. Chibi-Usa shows him the cats. Loof Merrow enters and explains that the cats are from Artuka and usually live on her ship. It seems that Chibi-Usa is the only one who can understand their language. Selkie, Loof, and the cats guide them to a ruin inside the cave.

Cern, Serpen, and Kraken lead the Senshi in two different groups into the cave under the pretense of hunting for jewels on a "mystery tour". The two groups inadvertently run into each other and continue on the mystery tour together. The mystery tour group sneaks into where Chibi-Usa and Mamoru have been led, and they start to find jewels. A strange steam is released from the cave, and Hotaru collapses. The ground begins to shake, and a red star becomes visible in the sky. Dark Mirror and Dark Menorah attack, but the Sailor Senshi aren't able to transform. Hotaru enters to stop the fighting. She introduces herself as "Kon", a personification of the spirits that protect the island, and tells the invaders to go back to their comet and end the fighting ("Hitosuji no Hikari ~ Yabou no Kao"). Dark Plasman appears and reiterates his desire for the Ginzuishou. Super Sailor Moon appears and tries to attack Plasman, who is surprised that she can still transform.

The Senshi begin to regroup on the strange island, observed by two cats ("Natsukashii no wa naze?").
