* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: The Sides watch WesternAnimation/2013. At the line 'fear will be your enemy', Virgil looks up woefully as Elsa screams, implying that as Thomas's fear, Virgil is taking this to heart.

Thomas has decided to avoid going to a party because he's had a problem with a friend that's going there. To try and ease the anxiety that is crippling on him, he decides to distract himself by watching a movie with the Sides, and they settle on watching "Frozen".

Originally released as the first episode of Sanders Asides, in September 2023 it was reorganized as part of the main Sanders Sides series.

Release date: November 22, 2019

!!!Tropes

* AwesomeButImpractical: Lampshaded by the Sides when they point out how in the movie the castle Elsa creates is an impractical place to live in due to the sanitarium and the bed being made out of ice.
* BothSidesHaveAPoint: Both Thomas and his friend have legitimate reasons to be hurt by their argument. Thomas, being gay, is understandably upset when he finds out his friend used to be homophobic, and lashed out in response. His friend, however, has obviously changed and come to regret his past views, and lashed out in turn when he felt attacked. Thomas admits his reaction is probably why his friend never talked about this part of his past before. The fact that his friend is a better person now doesn't negate his past actions, but it also isn't fair to treat him like he's still a bigot.
* ExpospeakGag: When Roman says that they're gonna rewrite the ending of Frozen, Logan explains with a technical language what he thinks Roman has suggested and Roman first doesn't understand a word he's said, then ironically and unconsciously acts as a TranslatorBuddy.
-->Logan: Oh, are we going to amend the inconsistencies and internal logic of the original film?\\
Roman: [confused] No... Yes... I don't know what you're asking. [happily to the other Sides] We're going to make it better!
* FiveSecondForeshadowing: Roman shows that he's been holding the ballot papers in Deceit's bowler hat. Just when the audience barely has had time to notice this, Deceit appears out of nowhere to reclaim his hat back.
* GoKartingWithBowser: Remus appears several times watching the movie and, other than pointing out some slightly disturbing facts about the movie, he acts pretty cordially with the others.
* MotorMouth: The way Virgil speaks about Thomas' friend gets progressively more and more like this the more anxious he gets until Logan intervenes.
* UnrevealAngle: When Deceit appears, the camera is set so that his face is out of shot all the time. This was required, as Deceit was being played by Joan as a stand-in. Also, his make-up is too complicated to make just for a five second cameo.
* VoteEarlyVoteOften: Roman rigs the voting to decide which movie they're gonna watch, by holding the ballots in Deceit's bowler hat, then replacing them by his own selfmade ballots, for a fake LandslideElection of his own option. Later he almost does the same again when he suggests to "vote what they're gonna do next", but Deceit reclaims his hat back and prevents him from doing it. He simply admits he was going to rig the voting anyway and imposes on the others what they're gonna do without asking their opinion.
