!! Man vs Sewer
* BeachEpisode: The turtles have their own version of this in the sewers. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] since they can't go to an actual beach.
* ChekhovsGun: Lace-Face. The turtles use it to bring Raph back to sanity.
* CompanionCube: Raph's tire and football, which he named "Lace-Face" are this to him. He even bluntly calls them his emotional crutches.
* CoveredInMud: Leo, Donnie, and Mikey end up like this after falling in some sewer sludge. It causes Raph to mistake them for monsters.
* FailedASpotCheck: Raph fails to notice his brothers arrive despite them being in plain sight.
* FreakOut: Raph has a couple of these throughout the episode. It actually works in his favor when his panic drives him to beat up the Sando Brothers. It later devolves into straight-up SanitySlippage.
* GoneHorriblyRight: The Sando Brothers try to scare Raph, [[InsaneTrollLogic hoping it will make him pop out of his shell and make him easier to eat]]. They scare him alright, but he simply pounds them in panicked self-defense.
* HatesBeingAlone: Raph, full stop.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Donnie states that Leo sells the fewest action figures.
* OnlySaneMan: Leo serves as the main voice of reason and is the one pushing his brothers to hurry up and find Raph before something bad happens.
* SanitySlippage: Due to Raph’s fear of being alone, he goes savage when the Sando Brothers tell him he’s alone.
* SayMyName: Donnie yells when he sees Raph stole tires from the turtle’s tank.
* ShoutOut: The episode's title is a reference to Series/ManVsWild.
* SkewedPriorities: When Raph first gets separated from the group, Mikey cries out that they lost their football. He acknowledges Raph when Leo and Donnie glare at him.
* SuddenlyShouting: Mikey gets Raph's attention this way.

!! The Mutant Menace
* BigWhat: Mikey gives one when Baxter Stockboy reveals himself.
* CallBack: Baxter's evidence against the turtles includes images from previous episodes.
* CallingCard: Mikey leaves a literal calling card each time the turtles do a good deed.
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: Raph's self-congratulating speech is this:
-->'''Raph:''' Boys, we're good-doers. And what do good-doers do? They good-do. And they good-do it well.
* DiggingYourselfDeeper: The turtles' attempts to do good deeds only cause harm, making public opinion of them worsen even further.
* MissedHimByThatMuch: One-sided example. Mikey manages to steer the turtle tank away from the crowd before they can turn around and see it, making Stockboy look like a liar.
* NeverMyFault: Leo claims that the disasters in the photos were all somebody else's fault. He's notably a bit unsure of that statement.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Baxter exposes the turtles to make a profit from the spectacle.
* OnlySaneMan: Leo votes to stay in the sewer while people are panicking about mutants. [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] when he's immediately joins his brothers to try winning over the town anyway.
* RightForTheWrongReasons: The crowd assumes that Baxter's news about the mutant menace was just a publicity stunt. They're right, though Baxter actually did have mutants to reveal.
* WeaksauceWeakness: For as advanced as Baxter's drones are, they apparently aren't waterproof.
