* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: In ''Loud House'' canon, Rita and Lynn Sr. aren't heard until "Heavy Meddle" and don't show up in person until "No Guts, No Glori" (not counting Lynn Sr. showing up in flashback in "Driving Miss Hazy"), with their faces not shown until "11 Louds A-Leapin'". Here, they show up in the first chapter, which adapts "Left in the Dark".

* DecoyProtagonist: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]]. While we first get to be introduced to Lincoln Loud, the protagonist of ''The Loud House'', narrating to the audience being his specialty, we seemingly are led to believe that he'll play the role of protagonist all the way... and then his grandfather, Rick Sanchez shows up and suddenly pulls Lincoln to another one of his crazy adventures in the multiverse, dragging Lucy along with him. As the chapter goes about, it's clear that Rick is the real star of the show, and as future chapters show, Lincoln doesn't play the leading role in this dangerous game, rather whoever sister he has Rick can just pick up and take with him in his shenanigans. This is also pretty much hammered in the end, when Rick rants about having more adventures, while blabbering the fic's title.

* LighterAndSofter: While definitely darker than ''Loud House'' canon, this chapter also shows that this story is relatively lighter compared to canon ''Rick And Morty''. In this chapter alone, Rick L-137 proves to be somewhat nicer than Rick C-137, Lincoln doesn't get grievously injured unlike Morty, and thanks to him and Lucy just shooting their pursuers in the legs, no one is killed.

Rather pointedly, Rick injects Lincoln with an antidote for the dissolving Mega Seeds ''before'' he succumbs to their effects the way Morty did at the end of the corresponding episode.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Rick really lays into Lincoln and Lucy (and, subsequently, the rest of their sisters) not just for doubting his intentions for his adventure, but also for always fighting over something they want instead of working out compromises.
