* AIIsACrapshoot: The waiter at the diner undergoes a RoboticReveal when his circuits eventually bug out.

* ProducePelting: The audience at the stadium throws their dino toys on the stage in protest.

** The second planet Rick and Morty visit that the dinosaurs previously worked on has the paleontologist explaining to them that they plan on producing a series of [[{{Sequelitis}} increasingly terrible movies]] [[Franchise/JurassicWorld about dinosaurs being revived through cloning and presented in a public zoo.]]
** Rick uses Sean Penn as an example of someone who has fucked up so badly in the past, they have to virtue signal hard to make up for it.

** In spite of having been kicked off of Earth, the Dinosaurs are shown to enjoy their time on their new home as they can spend their time on their favourite hobby of skateboarding.

The President, Beth, Summer, and Morty all realize how much it sucks to not have [to pretend] to fix the problems that they cause.

* ThrowTheDogABone: The portal gun is fixed and Morty finally gets to go to Boob World! (Though only after Rick sends him flying through a bunch of portals first.)

* VomitIndiscretionShot: Subverted. Rick sending Morty through a multitude of portals to celebrate fixing the portal network causes Morty to vomit on the floor while in flight.

** In this episode, the dinosaurs return to Earth from their interstellar travels and quickly turn human society into a utopia, solving all the world's conflicts and inequality. As several of the characters quickly realize, [[DeusExMachina having no conflict and all your problems solved by an outside force]] is [[VictoryIsBoring incredibly boring]], so everything is undone about three-quarters into the episode once they all learn the dinosaurs good deed is attracting a hostile sentient meteor and they choose to leave.

* CreatorProvincialism: The president of the USA is the only world leader to talk with the Dinosaurs, and is apparently able to take decisions for the world as a whole. Once again, supposed anti-authoritarian Rick is shown to be friend with him and go out of his way to help him.

* GoodIsBoring: The leaders of the world concede control to the dinosaurs knowing that if they refused, the world's impoverished would overthrow them. Eventually though, everyone gets tired of the utopian existence the dinosaurs usher in. When the dinos are forced to leave, newspapers say everyone is far less happy and problems are worse than ever, just like they like it.

* HeroicSuicide: The dinosaurs go to Mars and attempt to let the meteor kill them there after discovering all the planets they previously helped were struck by meteors due to their presence there, so that no more worlds with sentient life will be harmed. Rick narrowly manages to convince them otherwise by putting himself on-site, betting that the dinos' altruistic nature will prioritize his survival over their suicide, and using his tech to block their attempts to teleport him away, ensuring that the only way for them to save his life is by destroying the meteor.

* JustTheIntroductionToTheOpposites: Rick demonstrates his restored portal tech by portaling in a walking tophat person that wears a tiny human on its head.

** When Rick first demonstrates his glitchy new portal gun to Morty, the portal he opens has the cthulhu-esque creature from the opening credits stick its head through and roars. Rick wards it off with a spray bottle like it's a naughty cat.

* LivingDinosaurs: It turns out the dinosaurs did not all go extinct, but a handful left for outer space and came back to Earth after 66 million years.

** The Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse is mentioned multiple times, with the dinosaurs talking about how many Marvel movies have been made, President Curtis referencing the invasion (of Thanos's forces) in ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', and the dinos saying that, with all the free time humans will now have, they can "develop that Film/AntMan character".

* ResolvedNoodleIncidentResolution: Rick is constantly being referred to as "The Smartest Mammal in the Universe". In this episode we meet the non-mammals that rival Rick's intelligence.

* ForgotAboutHisPowers: The Dinosaurs decide to sacrifice themselves because they can't find a non-violent way to deal with the asteroid. That's despite being "god-like beings" ''superior'' to Rick, and despite the semi-sentience the asteroid has no particular technology or skill preventing it from just being trapped or deflected. At least one possible solution is actually shown in the episode, since the Dinosaurs are perfectly capable of creating portal technology, which could be used to send the asteroid away any time it approaches or trap it in a loop (and Rick actually uses portal technology to trap Morty in a loop by the end of the episode), yet apparently they can't think of any non-violent solution. The fact that the only way to deal with a threat is destroying it also crosses on CreatorProvincialism.

* HumansAreBastards: The dinosaurs avoid outright labeling humans as such despite what tgey have been doing in their absence. They instead insist that they "tried their best".

* PunyHumans: The dinosaurs return and are surprised to find [[SonOfAnApe "Monkeys went bald?"]], explaining later that humanity's mammal ancestors were essentially like squirrels to them. Averted in that they don't look down on humanity, and peacefully assume custody of the Earth to do what they've done on other planets throughout the universe, uplift the standard of living into a utopia.

** Rick and Morty visit three other alien planets where dinosaurs previously helped civilization flourish and then went extinct.

* StrippedToTheBone: The dinosaur teleportation effect strips the target in layers as it sends them to their destination (skin, muscles, bones), then reassembles them in reverse order on the other end. Despite being quick, those teleported are aware of what is happening, as Morty is briefly freaked out by seeing his own skeleton.

* {{Foil}}: The dinosaurs to Rick. Like Rick, they are so impossibly advanced that they've basically ascended to {{Physical God}}s able to do anything they want and go anywhere they please. They key difference is that Rick hoards his technology for his own use and his vast knowledge of existence is the catalyst for him being such a cynical and detached StrawNihilist; but the dinosaurs are [[TheAntiNihilist Anti-Nihilists]] who have dedicated themselves to traveling the cosmos using their powers to help lesser species flourish and terraforming worlds into utopias. And while Rick usually doesn't care about the chaos he leaves behind in his adventures, the dinosaurs are genuinely compassionate and are horrified to learn that all the past civilizations they've helped were wiped out after they left.

* OhCrap: Beth complains how the dinosaurs fixing everything has left everyome content but unemployed and without purpose. She then expresses a PrecisionFStrike when Rick summarizes that she, and the rest of the family, are now at Jerry's level with nothing to do.

* PainfulTransformation: Discussed by Morty who is surprised that the dinosaurs' teleport technology doesn't hurt. Apparently Rick's does.

** The US President and other world leaders are depicted as outright enjoying a world where they can just ''pretend'' to solve problems without actually having to do anything. The only reason they ceded control was because they knew all their poorest constituents would near immediately revolt.

** Rick uses Sean Penn as an example of someone who has fucked up so badly in the past, they have to virtue signal so hard to make up for it.

* YankTheDogsChain: After discovering that the rest of the Smith family have nothing else to do since the dinosaurs arrived, Jerry is inspired to finish his manuscript and have it published. The dinosaurs present the book later and plan to have it distributed across the globe. To Jerry's ire, however, the books would be literally given away for free, and his name would be left out because they think the author is "above needing credit". The end of the episode has Jerry desperately trying to make a new book, but is completely dejected to even start.

* OhCrap: Beth complains how the dinosaurs fixing everything has left everyome content but unemployed. She then expresses a PrecisionFStrike when Rick summarizes that she, and the rest of the family, are now at Jerry's level with nothing to do.

** On the flipside, the fact that portal travel is still down is once again discussed, with part of the problem being that Rick resists fixing it every time Morty brings it up out of sheer stubbornness. Ultimately, the dinos fixing the space rift as mentioned above ''finally'' gives him the motivation to do it, and the episode ends with Rick showing that portal travel is back up again.
