** The second planet Rick and Morty visit that the dinosaurs previously worked on has the paleontologist explaining to them that they plan on producing a series of "increasingly terrible movies" [[Franchise/JurassicWorld about dinosaurs being revived through cloning and presented in a public zoo.]]

* JustTheIntroductionToTheOpposites: Rick demonstrates his restored portal tech by teleporting in a walking tophat person that wears a tiny human on his head.

* OmnicidalManiac: The dinosaurs are so advanced, altruistic, and humble that their mere existence attracts the attention of their living antithesis: sentient meteorites, which evolved into the most primitive, hate-filled, and destructive life-forms possible, and have devoted their entire existence to annihilating the dinosaurs and everything they fix.

* PassiveAggressiveKombat: The undertone of Rick's conflict with the dinosaurs. They sincerely want to help, but Rick considers himself equal to them (a claim that proves debatsble at best) and resents any implication he needs their help. After he forces their hand to destroy a living meteor to save his life (when they were otherwise willing to allow it to kill them), they immediately fix the space-time rift he said he was going to get around to closing because "we just love helping", forcing him to actually finish recreating portal tech to travel the multiverse.

** The Dinosaurs end up on ''[[Creator/JoeRogan The Joe Rogan Experience]]'' during their press circuit to discuss the asteroid heading for earth. Joe Rogan (wearing a "DMT-Rex" t-shirt and drinking cans of CBD beer) suggests that the asteroid doesn't exist and then completely changes the subject by offering to show the dinosaurs a "rear naked chokehold."

** In spite of having been kicked off of Earth and basically barred from ever helping any other species ever again, the Dinosaurs are shown to enjoy their time on their new home as they can spend their time on their favourite hobby of skateboarding.

They're also able to terraform entire worlds and cause plants to sprout and grow from barren soil. And to highlight just how impressive they are, most of their displays of power are accomplished just by them ''thinking'' about it and concentrating for a moment, putting them on the level of {{Reality Warper}}s.
** Of course, this has less to do with them being smarter than it has to with Rick being lazy.

* NotSoAboveItAll: The dinosaurs are zen altruists, but them fixing the rift at the end is difficult to interpret as anything but passive-aggression after Rick previously declined their aid in fixing it. ''Especially'' after Rick forced their hand into [[TheCorruptor killing the living meteor to save him]]. The Stinger also shows that their favorite pastime is skateboarding.

* PteroSoarer: The pterosaurs in the episode resemble scaly, toothy ''Pteranodon'' with bat-wings.

** The Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse is mentioned multiple times, with the dinosaurs talking about how many Marvel movies have been made, President Curtis referencing the invasion (of Thanos's forces) in ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', and the dinos saying that, with all the free time humans will now have, they can "finish rounding out that ''Film/AntMan'' character".

* {{Foil}}: The dinosaurs to Rick. Like Rick, they are so impossibly advanced that they've basically ascended to {{Physical God}}s able to do anything they want and go anywhere they please. The key difference is that Rick hoards his technology for his own use and his vast knowledge of existence is the catalyst for him being such a cynical and detached StrawNihilist; but the dinosaurs are [[TheAntiNihilist Anti-Nihilists]] who have dedicated themselves to traveling the cosmos using their powers to help lesser species flourish and terraforming worlds into utopias. And while Rick usually doesn't care about the chaos he leaves behind in his adventures, the dinosaurs are genuinely compassionate and are horrified to learn that all the past civilizations they've helped were wiped out after they left.

* ChirpingCrickets: Parodied. A tumbleweed blows through the Oval Office during the montage where the dinosaurs retake global leadership and solve all human problems, meaning the President is out of a job. It turns out the tumbleweed was "Washington's tumbleweed", and the President puts it back on its stand before leaving.
