!!Mindy Pet-sits [[note]]Also known as "Mindy Pet-sits Sunspot"[[/note]]
The kids head out to see the Aurora Borealis. Sunspot stays behind while Mindy is his petsitter.
----
* AffectionateGestureToTheHead: Mindy gives Sunspot a headpat and calls him 'silly.'
* ContinuityNod: Mindy comes across the meteorite that she found in "Mindy's Meteorite Stand".
* GuestStarPartyMember: Carrot drives the kids out to see the northern lights, while Celery stays home.
* MeaningfulEcho: When Jet sees Sunspot's backyard northern lights, he says "holy moly." When the actual northern lights appear, Sean also says "holy moly."
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Sean is actually excited to go to space for once. Jet even grabs his hand to check if he has a fever, and Sean nervously swipes it away.
* PlatonicKissing: Mindy does this to Sunspot when he makes a northern lights show just for her.
* PlayingSick: Sean, Jet, Sydney, and Carrot fly out to space in order to look for the Northern Lights. Since Mindy is too young, she cannot go, and she is sad that she cannot go to see the Northern Lights. Sunspot, feeling sorry for her, fakes an injury so he gets to stay with Mindy, and make Mindy her own Northern Lights show in the backyard. All of the other characters are aware of this.
* TwoLinesNoWaiting: The episode has two plot-lines: Jet, Sydney, and Sean going to space with Carrot (!!!) to try and find the Northern Lights, and Mindy pet-sitting Sunspot, unaware that he is planning a surprise for her.
* WintryAuroralSky: The episode revolves around the gang trying to see the northern lights. They even go to the North Pole to try and do so.

!!Treehouse Space Station [[note]]Also known as "Treehouse ISS"[[/note]]
Jet, Sean, and Sydney argue over who gets to use the treehouse.
----
* AnAesop: Jet, Sean, and Sydney learn that they should share their space in the treehouse, and that their ideas can help each other.
* ContinuityNod: Jet brings his Bortronian solar lamp previously seen in "The Plant From Bortron 7."
* FacePalm: Sunspot facepalms when Jet, Sean, and Sydney completely miss the point of Face's lecture.
* FeudEpisode: The episode has the kids fight over who gets to use the treehouse for whatever reason. Sean wants to use the treehouse to look at the ISS, Sydney wants to use the treehouse to draw her Commander Cressida comics, and Jet wants to use the treehouse to do an experiment with a plant. Mindy tries to create a schedule for each of them to use the treehouse, but then they realize that they were lonely without their friends around. Later, they learn from Face 9000 that the scientists working at the International Space Station are cramped too, but they get along with each other and share ideas despite that. The kids realized they were being selfish and make up at the end of the episode.
* IndividualismVsCollectivism: This episode is another example of the show's collectivism in action. Everyone wants to use the treehouse, but they don't want to share with each other. They set up a schedule for when they can use it, but find that they are lonely without their friends around. It is only when they cooperate that they are not only happy, but successful in their tasks.
* IveHeardOfThatWhatIsIt: At the beginning of the episode, Sean tells Mindy about the ISS. Mindy says that she knew about it, then asks what it is.
* WhyDidntIThinkOfThat: Mid-way through the episode, Sean realizes that instead of taking up space in the treehouse, he could have just watched the ISS from the deck. He even says that he should have thought of that in the first place.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Though Mindy is the youngest, she's the most mature of all the characters in the episode, knowing that everyone needed to share space in the treehouse before the rest of them figured it out.
