!!Asteroids, Meteors, and Meteorites
The gang goes to the asteroid belt to learn about asteroids, meteors, and meteorites. Also, Sydney keeps getting curb-stomped in a video game by one mysterious [=DotSun=], and Jet tries to find the perfect Father Day's gift for Carrot.
----
* ArcWords: The word "mostly" is repeated throughout the episode.
* ContinuityNod: The characters sing a snippet of the "How Come the Moon Has Craters?" song from a previous episode.
* FictionalVideoGame: Sydney and Sean play a video game called Astro Tracker, where to win, you have to identify and name certain asteroids.
* {{Foreshadowing}}:
** Sunspot keeps hiding his tablet screen from Jet, foreshadowing that he is [=DotSun=].
** Sydney is incredibly proficient at the Astro Tracker game, which uses a joystick. This is foreshadowing to her becoming the saucer's co-pilot in Season 2.
* HolidayEpisode: This episode takes place on Father's Day. A minor subplot in the episode is Jet trying to get the perfect gift for Carrot.
* ICantBelieveImSayingThis: Sean ends up agreeing with Jet that they should go to the asteroid belt.
-->'''Jet''': You know, Sean, if you really want to be the ultimate astro tracker, we could take the wagon and go out and look at the asteroid belt.
-->'''Sean''': You know Jet, I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe we should take the saucer and go out and see how big they are. How fast they are.
-->'''Sydney''': Sean, you actually want to go into space?!?
* IrisOut: How the episode ends.
* JustOneMoreLevel: Downplayed, but Sydney becomes so glued to her video game, that she doesn't even notice the real asteroids in space. When she realizes this, she turns off the game.
* OnlineAlias: Sunspot's username on Astro Tracker is [=DotSun=].
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Sean actually wants to go to space for once, which surprises Sydney.
* {{Pun}}: Sydney plays Astro Tracker on Face 9000's screen. When Face turns on the game, he says he's putting on his "game face".
* SayMyName: Everyone yells "SUNSPOT!" when they find out that he's [=DotSun=].
* VisualPun: Jet makes a literal belt with asteroids on it for Carrot.
* WeirdnessCensor: The gang flies above Arizona to see a giant crater. However, some tourist kids see the saucer. Their dad just shrugs it off and tells them to smile from the camera

!!Mindy's Meteorite Stand
Mindy digs up what may be a meteorite. She starts her own meteorite stand to find other meteorites.
----
* AffectionateGestureToTheHead: Jet rubs Mindy's head as she sits on the rock.
* AnAesop: You should never give up, because everything you learn helps you get to the right answer.
* ArtShift: Sydney briefly makes up a story about how a meteorite got to Earth, which is accompanied by a shift to the comic-book montage art style.
* BearerOfBadNews: Dr. Rafferty breaks the unfortunate news to Mindy that that her rock isn't really a meteorite, since it has quartz in it.
* TheCameo: Lillian makes a cameo in the line to Mindy's meteorite stand, as does Mitchell.
* ChekhovsGun: The big rock Mindy sits on. Turns out that while Mindy's meteorite was really an Earth rock, the rock she was sitting on was a real meteorite!
* FunnyBackgroundEvent:
** Sean trying to hit on a background girl, which is likely just [[HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday overcompensation]].
-->'''Sean''': Did you know I'm a science colleague of Mindy's? [[BlatantLies Yep, we've worked together in this neighborhood for a few years now]].
** Towards the end of the episode, Mitchell is quite grouchy when standing in line, even though he was smiling and clapping for Mindy mere seconds prior.
* MeaningfulEcho: When Mindy shows her rock to the others, Jet immediately assumes that it's a meteorite and rushes to tell everyone. Sean stops him, saying that he can't tell anyone until he has ''actual'' news. When the gang concludes that it ''is'' a meteorite, Sean says that they have to tell everyone the news.
* OrMyNameIsnt: A variant. When Dr. Rafferty discovers that the big rock bench is a meteorite, she has this to say.
-->'''Dr. Rafferty''': I'm 100% sure, or your name isn't Mindy Melendez!
* ParentalBonus: Kids are likely to miss the Aerosmith reference, detailed below.
* PowerWalk: The kids do an epic walk while going to Jet's garage, accompanied by heavy metal music.
* {{Pun}}: "And Sean's right, the proper tests will help you discover if your rock is meteorite or meteor-wrong!"
* RuleOfThree: There are three tests to determine if a rock is a meteorite. First, to look for tiny holes in the rock. Next, to see if it is magnetic. Finally, to see if it leaves a scratch on a tile.
* ShoutOut: While leading the kids to the garage, Jet quotes Music/{{Aerosmith}}. The music that plays afterwards pretty much '''is''' their song "Walk This Way".
* SpinningPaper: As meteorite fever grips the neighborhood, a spinning newspaper is shown with Mindy's portrait on it.
* {{Troll}}: Mitchell trolls Mindy by bringing an old bread roll to the meteorite stand. Mindy isn't fooled.
* VerbalBackspace:
-->'''Jet''': Or in ten earth years! Uh (laughs) I mean regular old years! [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial We're all from Earth around here!]] (nervous laughter) Yep! (''{{Beat}}'')
