Immediately following the previous episode, Yang, Blake, and Weiss continue to discuss their reasons for becoming huntresses as Ruby watches over the sleeping area and Dr. Oobleck listens from above. Later during Yang's watch, Zwei wakes Ruby up so he can go the bathroom, and as Ruby complains about Zwei's potty area, they stumble upon a patrol of White Fang. Using the greatest of stealth, Ruby tails the patrol back to their hideout. After trying to call her team and getting no signal with her Scroll, Ruby begins to walk back to the encampment, but the ground beneath her unfortunately gives way and she falls into the underground city of Mountain Glenn. She is quickly apprehended and turned over to none other than Roman Torchwick.

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Yang states that she wants a life where she doesn't know what tomorrow will bring, and that's a good thing. That's exactly what she gets in the last half of season 3, and it wasn't a good thing.

* BadassInDistress: Due to unfortunate fall and losing her scythe, Ruby gets captured by White Fang.
* BoringButPractical: While they don't know the exact plan yet, RWBY knows that Torchwick is bringing a train loaded with weapons, Dust and explosives into Vale.
