* AesopEnforcer: Mentor Ji, due to TurnInYourBadge below.
* CompressedVice / LostAesop: Due to [[CompressedAdaptation adapting Shinkenger without accounting for detail]], the anti-jealousy / anti-recklessness moral the Episode tries to get across is smothered by heaps of [[InformedFlaw Informed Flaws]] toppeled onto Mike via exposition that never come up in-show.[[note]]Mike's Shinkenger counterpart Chiaki started off as a rebellious, lazy Jerkass that had to undergo CharacterDevelopment. Mike is show to be a hard-working guy from the get-go, (Albeit with an upbeatly social side) Chiaki's rebellious side AdaptedOut. Thus, BrilliantButLazy can't describe him the way "Forest For the Trees" is attempting to. Thus, the episode loses itself to the script.[[/note]]
