Peg and Cat are having a play date with the Three Bears. Peg reveals that they are going to play music with Ludwig van Beethoven. He arrives, but can't fit his piano through the door. Thankfully, he turns it around and manages to fit it in.
They start their jamming session with Beethoven telling Peg to chant, "One, two, three, four". She does, and Cat and Beethoven talk about the definition of "pattern" in song. Then, they start singing and playing "Ode to Joy". However, the Three Bears don't play along, so Peg asks them why. They claim that the tune is uncool and share a tune they prefer: the same, but with the emphasis in opposite places. However, Beethoven dislikes this tune.
Peg thinks of one potential solution: don't play music. However, neither the Bears nor Beethoven are onboard with this. However, they lighten up when she suggests eating instead (inspired by Cat landing on the dinner table). The Bears, as is to be expected of the Three Bears, serve up porridge.
Papa Bear shows a trick to prevent the porridge from burning your mouth: blow softly, then loudly exclaim, "Mmm!" while eating it. However, Beethoven thinks that they should blow loudly and exclaim quietly instead lest they get seasick. He tries to do so, but when he tries to blow loudly, he sprays his porridge everywhere.
Peg decides to have everyone play Get Down (seen in "The Pirate Problem") instead, and they all agree, but Beethoven and Papa Bear start arguing over whether a shape is a rectangle or a square. Mama and Baby Bear also believe Papa Bear is right and that it is a square. Peg tries to lighten the situation with a joke ("At least we can all agree that it's not a circle") and tries a website on her [=iPod=] called Ask Ramone. Ramone on the website reveals that they're all right: it's a square, but squares are rectangles too.
However, this just causes them to argue again but in a more nit-picky way. When Peg tries to break them up, Beethoven starts ''another'' argument... about what inflection to use! This causes Beethoven to try to leave and Peg to freak out. However, instead of counting backwards from five, she has everyone count to four.
Cat snaps his toes four times, which gives Peg an idea: combine the two tunes they argued over initially. This works, and Peg breaks into song.
