* MinorCrimeRevealsMajorPlot: Played with. In "Revelation", Ms. Bustier discovered that Chloé has been making Sabrina do her homework for years, but naively assumed that she could trust Lila to sort Chloé out. In "Confrontation", she discovered that Lila has been lying to her, but hoped that she could still save Chloé by giving her extra scruitny, even as this episode shows how misguided such optimism was, as Chloe just has her fired. In order to push Ms. Bustier over the edge and akumatize her, Gabriel sends her apparent video evidence that Chloé's misbehavior is only the tip of the iceberg, and that the whole Bourgeois regime is corrupt and must be taken down. And that is what finally inspires her to stop fighting his efforts to akumatize her.

* DisproportionateRetribution: Along with getting Marinette nearly expelled for a crime she didn't even commit and Ms. Bustier fired for simply trying to talk some sense into her, Chloé orders her dad to send the latter to prison and to have the rest of her class banned from high school. Lila qualifies as well, as she's the one egging Chloé on to do these things, just to get back at them for learning the truth about her.

* DisproportionateRetribution: Along with Chloé abuses her power in spades during this episode, getting Marinette nearly expelled for a crime an offense she didn't even commit and Ms. Bustier fired for simply trying to talk some sense into her, Chloé figuring that with the two most inspirational people in her class gone, the rest of her classmates will finally fall in line and submit to her as the one in charge. When they instead pledge to keep fighting her oppression, and on Ms. Bustier's encouragement to boot, she, determined to break them, angrily orders her dad to send the latter to prison and to have the rest of her class banned from high school. Lila qualifies as well, as she's the one egging Chloé on to do these things, just to get back at them for learning the truth about her.

* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: Discussed. Chloé at first dismisses Gabriel's offer of power, until Lila points out that her father isn't likely to be mayor much longer and the consequences of her nastiness will catch up to her real quick if she doesn't find an alternative.

not the trope

* EvilChancellor: Lila spends most of her screentime advising Chloé via earpiece to manipulate the adults into acting in her favor.

neither of those is an example of this trope

* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** Zigzagged with Miss Sans-Culotte: Gabriel has no issue with akumatizing a pregnant woman into his minion, but he does include an armored plate in her akumatized form to protect her pregnant stomach.
** ''Chloé'' of all people, which this season has made clear is incapable of bettering herself beyond a spoilt bully, can tell the doctored footage of André is fake.

consistent characterization does not necessarily constitute a Call Back

* CallBack: Like in "Horrificator", Chloé's mean behavior with Mylene again prompts the normally calm Ivan into attempting retribution, only for Marinette to stop him.

yeah no, it's obviously an extra-legal coup

* ArtisticLicenseLaw: The writers have taken multiple liberties in ensuring that Chloé, a fourteen year old unlicensed teenager [[DumbBlonde who can't even say the word "democracy" properly]], takes over as the new mayor after her father's self-resignation with no other adult intervening to fill the position (though it's implied in the episode that she used the robots Gabriel gave her to force her way into power, a fact [[https://twitter.com/Thomas_Astruc/status/1663272159513329665?s=20 Thomas Astruc made clear on Twitter]]).

* NoodleImplements: It’s not clear how the crown would’ve helped defeat Chloé and her robots.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
Doesn't fit because nobody even brings up Chloé's or as a reason why he shouldn't hit her.

* WouldHitAGirl: Ivan comes surprisingly close to punching Chloé as retribution for insulting his girlfriend. The only reason he stopped is because Marinette intervened and told him it’s just what Chloé wants him to do.
