At school, Mia is nervous about an upcoming math test. When her bracelet starts glowing, she asks Vincent to help her find a place she can be alone. Vincent brings her to his secret hideout, and asks about her book. Not ready to tell Vincent her secret yet, Mia tells him to leave, while she travels to Centopia.
Arriving in Centopia, Mia finds that there seems to be some sort of celebration going on at the castle. The elves are celebrating Phuddle's invention, the trumptus, which will help take down Panthea. Thinking about the riddle from her book, Mia suggests that they could use more than one trumptus. King Raynor agrees, and asks Phuddle to build more. Shortly after, the trumptus goes missing, and figuring Phuddle has it, Mia goes off to find him. Mia discovers that not only has Phuddle not made more copies of the trumptus, but he has dismantled the original because he couldn't remember how he built it.
With dark elves approaching, Mia and Phuddle must try to hurry and find the blueprints for it so they may figure out how all the pieces are supposed to fit together.
