David takes more natural forms like rhinos, sharks, and dinosaurs, while Farouk's shapes are often mechanical or mythical, though both are distinguished by colour: David's projection is green, while Farouk's is a fiery orange. Most tellingly, Farouk cheats by [[ShapeshifterGuiltTrip becoming Syd]], then taking advantage of David's surprise to become a giant [[SpiderPeople spider-person]] and wrap him up in its web. In the final clash, David becomes a soldier armed with a flamethrower, while Farouk becomes a flame-breathing giant, resulting in a BeamOWar.
