** Isobel's passing also qualifies as this. We see her once again playing her silly "faking dead" prank and having a joyful reunion with her mother, all smiles. Two scenes later [[WhamShot Ravi finds Liv and Isobel's mom weeping together]].

** Chase once more demonstrates full willingness to shoot his subordinates in the torso when they've failed him, and does so to Jordan for failing to secure her weapon and allowing Russ Roach to escape. This unfortunately makes Captain Seattle shoot Graves on impulse to protect her, which gets him killed.

* CryingWolf: Subverted; it seemed to be building up to that with Isobel's repeated fake death pranks, but she keeps doing it even when they stop believing her. When she ''does'' die, however, its peacefully in her sleep. Ravi tearfully begs her to reveal she was just ''really'' joking this time as well, but its clear he knows it isn't the case and is just struggling to deal with it.

* TruthSerums: Roche and AJ give Major a form of this to prove if he's really on their side or Graves. Its a Blue juice-treated brain taken from a Russian mobster AJ had put through ElectricTorture in a specific way to make him incapable of lying, and claims that anyone who's had it since has been incapable of doing so too. It works, Major gladly confesses to being TheMole, but ''also'' informs them TheCavalry know exactly where they were and this whole thing was part of the plan.

* {{Forshadowing}}: We learn early on that the victim was making fun of a woman for having large breasts. Then in a conversation with Don E, "Crybaby" Carl reveals that he's not amused at making fun of women for their appearance. Suffice to say, it turns out Carl's wife was the victim's target, and while DisproportionateRetribution is in full effect, he doesn't see anything wrong with what he did.

Liv eats the brain of a germaphobe killed while crossdressing.
!!Tropes
* AssholeVictim: The victim was an obnoxious germaphobe, made an unfunny skit mocking his company's HR lady for having naturally large breasts, but when her husband confronts him he runs into his car like a DirtyCoward. While 'safe', [[BullyingADragon he then flips the bird at him]], which gets him killed.
* BlackComedy: Isobel really demonstrates her love for this. First there's her trolling her mom with the claim that she's doing lots of drugs, but when her nose bleeds start, she begins using it as a means to FakingTheDead and give everyone a heart attack. At first they're mortified at the prank, by the fourth time she's done it they just tell her to knock it off.
* CharacterDeath:
** Isobel, finally succumbing to her illness, dies peacefully in her sleep.
** Fisher Webb, AKA Captain Seattle, is killed by Chase when he shoots him on impulse, trying to protect Jordan.
* DisproportionateRetribution:
** The victim was making a sexist joke mocking "Crybaby" Carl's wife, and when he thought he was safe then tried to insult his manhood. Carl responds by killing him. Somewhat PlayedWith, though, in that Carl ''only'' punched him out, something that most would probably consider an appropriate response to this, but unfortunately for the victim Carl is a very large (and very strong) man, and a zombie, one that already enjoys killing and was apparently going into Rage Mode after being insulted. The combination made his one punch enough to cave the victim's skull in.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Victim-of-the-week was dressed as his company's HR rep when he died, but prior to it some drunk idiot tried to score with him, thinking he was a woman. When his friends pointed out to him, he got ''extremely'' pissed off.
* MoodWhiplash: After taking in Roche and AJ, Graves is ecstatic to finally have some ''good news'' for once, as well as solving one of their biggest problems, and so celebrates with his soldiers and pays for them to have ''anything'' they want from the Scratching Post. However just as he was having Major and his squad pose for a photo above the boxes their seized, Major has to inform him that Roche escaped using Jordan's weapon. Graves cuts the party short, shoots Jordan (and when he tries to stop him, kills Seattle), then storms off, leaving Major to tend to Jordan and deal with finding Roche.
