* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Carly and Sam fighting over who gets to spend time with Freddie is very reminiscent of a divorced couple arguing over who gets custody of their child. Before this, there was also Carly and Sam assuring Freddie that their friendship ending isn't his fault and that it doesn't change how they feel about him.

It's so much of an emotionally draining experience that both Sam and Carly broke down in tears following the traumatic climax before reconciling.
