*** Less predictible, Moxxie's fear of theme parks. [[spoiler: We learn in Season 2 that his father is a mafia boss, who hides a part of his activities in an abandoned Loo Loo Land, including torture and murder, and the Moxxie witnessed this at a very young age.]]

** There's a ''lot'' of signs and the like denying that "Loo Loo Land" is ripping of Lucifer's "Lu Lu World".

* InnocentlyInsensitive: Stolas, in a misguided attempt to cheer her up, took Via to a theme park she has already outgrown despite her explicitly saying that she would prefer to "kill herself". In a more serious note, he's also oblivious to the fact that Blitzo's presence and Stolas' frequent flirting with him is a constant reminder of the very issue he was trying to distract her from, and that it was making her extremely uncomfortable. Only once she left on her own does he understand that he really messed things up.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Upon seeing how upset Octavia's become due to his absent-minded flirting with Blitzo and his misguided belief that Loo Loo Land still held appeal for her, Stolas is deeply distraught and apologizes to his daughter.

* PlagiarismInFiction: Several [[FreezeFrameBonus blink-and-you'll-miss-it]] moments suggest that the titular theme park is actually a plagiarized version of another theme park in Hell, "Lu Lu World", which is owned by Lucifer, which would certainly explain [[TemptingApple the heavy apple motif]] when it's supposedly run by Mammon. All over the entirety of the park are signs saying they're legally required to say that they are not affiliated with Lu Lu World. Additionally, Robo Fizz steals a line from [[WebAnimation/HazbinHotel "Inside Every Demon is a Rainbow"]] for his own song ''immediately after singing how there's "no copyrights infringements even seen"'', even making some of the same poses Charlie was.

* NoOSHACompliance: Loo Loo Land seems to have seen better days, as much of the signs and rides are falling apart and the animatronics are horrifyingly malfunctioning. If the mascot's AbusiveAdvertising is anything to go by, the staff for the park supposedly doesn't care.

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: A giant, multi-eyed wyvern monster is apparently an attraction at Loo Loo Land's petting zoo. It has a standard bipedal dinosaur-like gait with a face resembling that of a [[PteroSoarer pterosaur]]. It also ends up [[JustDesserts eating the Fizzarolli robot]].

* LikeParentLikeSpouse: Inverted and downplayed. While Stolas and Stella have been distant for some time (and likely [[MarriageOfConvenience never loved each other to begin with]]), he is very close to his daughter Octavia, and has a very clingy crush on Blitzo. A few scenes also show that Blitzo and Octavia are [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike more alike than they think]].

* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: Blitzo and Octavia have a same negative opinion or reaction twice in this episode.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: The entire conflict is foreshadowed in the opening scene. Octavia has a nightmare about trying to find Stolas, but can't and Stolas assures her he'll be there no matter what happens. At the end of the episode, realizing her parents marriage has pretty much crashed and burned, Octavia asks if Stolas is going to abandon her for Blitzo, which Stolas assures her will never happen. As an added bonus, both scenes have Stolas carrying Octavia in his arms, though as a teenager is more of a BridalCarry.

* CerebusRetcon: Stolas' sexual obsession with Blitzo was played as a joke in the pilot and first episode. Here, it's shown to have destabilized the owl demon's marriage, which is causing distress on his daughter, who is genuinely afraid he'll run off with his new lover and leave her. Watching her father continue to flirt with Blitzo only further upsets her until she runs away in tears.

* OffModel: The Loo Loo Land mascot's tooth gap moves from the right side of his mouth to the left while he's offscreen.

* AbnormalPlushies: While walking around Loo Loo Land, Millie notices a a stuffed "thing" available as a prize for a rigged game. The "thing" resembles a fat purple platypus in overalls with demon horns.

* ComicallySmallBribe: In a downplayed example, Blitzo doesn't accept Stolas' bodyguard job until the owl demon promises to pay him. With money. He doesn't give a specific amount, but it's enough for the imp to say yes.
