The Lasik surgery goes badly, and as she can only think of one person she spent 14 hours in labor for, Emily demands that Lorelai come and help her. Jackson and Sookie decide to get the marijuana out of the house. Rory discovers that Mitchum has been bragging about helping her career to a newspaper.

Logan gets to leave the hospital and Rory enlists Paris and Doyle to make sure he stays in bed. On their way out of the hospital, Rory makes a joke about cutting off an old lady with a handicap sticker to get a parking space close to the hospital entrance. Emily gets a bad laser eye surgery. Lorelai avoids Luke. Jackson comes to the inn to tell Sookie he has just discovered that some people he fired a while ago planted marijuana on his property. They may not have been dopeheads, because Jackson recalls telling the to weed the area. Liz finds out she's pregnant and dumps TJ because she is afraid she'll be a lousy mother. She joins a support group for single moms, only to find that all they do is complain. Emily informs Lorelai that the house she and Richard have been looking for in Stars Hollow (or right by the border, anyhow) is for her and Luke, and says with a completely serious face that she herself would never live in a small town because if her neighbor came to her with a pie wanting to chat she would kill herself and the neighbor. Lorelai tells her in tears that she doesn't think she is going to marry Luke. Sookie and Jackson try to get rid of the marijuana, but keep running into people, including the local pastor and rabbi going for an evening stroll.
