* KickTheSonOfABitch: After all Crais put them through, Crichton gets visible pleasure from his fake confession that will land Crais in the Aurora Chair, while Aeryn cranks the Chair up to eleven and leaves him there in payback for destroying her life.

** Gilina links the false memory that that of Crichton kissing her on the [[Recap/FarscapeS01E07PKTechGirl Zelbinion]] (the memory shows him kissing Lieutenant Teeg instead).

** There's a parody of the love scene in ''Film/Titanic1997'' when Rygel wipes the condensation off the pressure tank window, after being stuck in their with Chiana.

** Also pened and that Crichton is making it up.

** Also Crais' incredulity at the faked memory displayed by the chair, insisting it never happened and that Crichton is making it up.

* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: Crais says that Scorpius doesn't have the nerve to put a Peacekeeper Captain in the Aurora Chair, and he's got a couple of armed bodyguards in case he does. Ignoring Crais, Scorpius addresses the two men, pointing out that he has absolute authority on this Gammak base, he ''will'' put Crais in the Chair and to stop him they'd have to kill Scorpius and every other soldier on the base.
* StealthInSpace: The transport pod is able to approach the Gammak base in the blind spot Gilina left, and land because external sensors would give away the fact that a hidden base was there.

* ShownTheirWork: In-universe. To sell the con, the fake memory Gilina creates includes genuine biographical material about Crais.

** The events of [[Recap/FarscapeS01E08ThatOldBlackMagic "That Old Black Magic"]] end up sinking Crais. Not only does Crichton know events from Crais's past that are used in his fake memory, but a very real memory of Crais murdering Lieutenant Teeg is uncovered in the Aurora Chair.

** When the fake memory shows Crais talking of his resentment over never having been part of the Peacekeeper elite, Crichton replies, [[Film/GoneWithTheWind Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."]] When Scorpius asks Crichton about the memory, he says it's an episode of ''Series/MelrosePlace''.
