* FridgeLogic: Cornwallis insinuates that Jeff's "Winger Speech" is exactly what [[spoiler:the one who untied him]] would say. But Jeff was standing in front of the rest of the group answering the door, so it couldn't possibly have been him.

Annie invites Professor Cornwallis (MalcolmMcDowell) (and Kevin) to the study group's Christmas party at Jeff's apartment to make up for their failing grade on their history assignment. After many failed attempts of ass-kissing, the group finds out that their supposed F was actually a C-; Annie wanted to the group to go for an A. When Cornwalis overhears Jeff's conversation, their grades brought it back down to an F. While the study group is distracted and arguing, Kevin ties up the professor in an attempt to prove himself, leading to a series of mind games and bribes as Cornwalis tries to prise the group apart.

* FridgeLogic: It's impressive that Cornwallis is able to persuade everyone that Jeff untied him when Jeff was actually the one person who couldn't have done it (Jeff was answering the door on the other side of the room). Even Abed doesn't seem to realise this.
