* NoDialogueEpisode: There's absolutely no dialogue in this episode, with only the animation and the music driving the story forward. Possibly indicative of how the fly robot doesn't have a microphone installed, allowing it to only transmit visual data.

* BizzaroEpisode: This would be the first of Codename: Kids Next Door's many "art episodes", although this one is definitely on the stranger side of things.
* EstablishingCharacterMusic: Each member of Sector V gets their own style of music when the Fly is observing them.
** The fly itself has a leitmotif of erratic strings going up and down ala Flight of the Bumblebee, as it flies around the treehouse.
** Numbuh 1's music is samurai themed, due to him stealing the helmet they obtained, and briefly playing around with it before noticing the fly. Once he does notice it, the music changes to a more electronic sound as he tries to get rid of it.
** Numbuh 2's music is very classical and whimsical as he flies around with the housefly.
** Numbuh 3's music is cutesy and joyous as she gives the fly a makeover and tries to serve it tea.
** Numbuh 4's music is angry heavy metal, as he attempts to murder the fly in increasingly over-the-top and angry ways.
** Numbuh 5's music is laidback funk as she decides what to do with the fly.
* MusicalEpisode: There's absolutely no dialogue in this episode, with only the animation and the music driving the story forward.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Numbuh 5's decision to let the fly go free allows it to return to the Delightful Children from Down the Lane's house and relay the information it captured to them.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Numbuh 1 of all people is the most terrified and/or disgusted with the fly, and is the most desperate to get it out of the treehouse. He visibly sighs in relief when Abby decides to do this.
