Elsewhere, Suzaku awakens in an infirmary with his superiors, Lloyd Asplund and Cecile Croomy. He had survived being shot thanks to a pocket watch, a momento from his father, blocking the bullet. His injuries being superficial, Lloyd then asks Suzaku if he would like to pilot a Knightmare...

Back in Shinjuku, the Japanese terrorists fight the Brittanians tooth-and-nail to protect the Elevens. Lelouch calls his classmate Shirley Fennette, who is watching news of the battle in Shinjuku, to get a better idea of the situation. With backup being out of the question, Lelouch decides to work with the terrorists in order to drive off Brittania. To this end, he begins to relay the positions of Britannian Knightmares to the terrorists, allowing them to ambush and counterattack and turning the battle in their favor.
