* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Just because Cornelia and some of her forces joined up with the Black Knights doesn't mean that their previous actions are forgiven - part of the reason Guilford guards the former Viceroy while she recovers is because she was the Viceroy and hurt a lot of families during that time.

** Rivalz's ParentalIssues are not explored in canon (they aren't even mentioned except in [[AllThereInTheManual supplementary materials]]). Here, we learn that his father is a ControlFreak who outright tried to ''[[AbusiveParents get rid of his youngest son to avoid inheritance issues]]''. In fact, Rivalz's mom, Topaz Cardemonde, outright hid Joshua's gender to prevent her husband, Corbin Yates, from having the boy aborted.

* BreatherEpisode: While there is still plenty of drama to go around, the chapter mostly focuses on the Voltron Coalition recovering from the beating they got in the previous chapter and how the Paladins' families are handling the truth about their children/grandchildren/siblings.

Added DiffLines:

* SocialClimber: Corbin Yates, Rivalz's father, is indicated to be one, since he only wanted ''one'' son, and planned to marry off all of his daughters to wealthy husbands, including Nobility if he could find someone willing to wed them.

** Milly's exact reason for being RaisedByGrandparents isn't specified in canon. Here, Reuben outright asked her to come with him to Area 11, while her parents appear to have stayed in the homeland.
* ArchnemesisDad: We get some elaboration on Rivalz's relationship with his father, Corbin Yates, and what we learn puts the latter squarely in this trope — Corbin tried to ''sell off his youngest son'' just to avoid issues with dividing up his children's inheritance. It's made clear his wife and children want nothing to do with him after they found this out.
* CharacterDevelopment: Viletta remembers her time as Chigusa, which allowed her to understand the Paladins' motives better and perform a HeelFaceTurn of her own free will.
