* {{Foreshadowing}}: Frasier catches the bouquet. In the very next episode he gets engaged to Lilith.

* LadyDrunk: Rebecca comes off as this when she gets drunk, with her hair askew, muttering bitterly, drowning her sorrows, after Evan Drake doesn't show. This is the first time that the audience has seen Rebecca drunk, but as CharacterizationMarchesOn it happens more and more frequently.

* ResetButton: Eddie gets cut by the Bruins, which leads Carla to take back up her job at Cheers. While this was not out of nowhere, as Eddie was already stated to be a marginal NHL goalie, it has Carla come back to the bar.
* TheStateroomSketch: Carla and Eddie have to get married in the rectory chapel after they run late. Cliff's is the only recognizable face amongst the crowd crammed cheek-to-jowl in the chapel, but Carla's bouquet can be seen when she knifes her way through the crowd.
* SuperstitionEpisode: After all those other superstitions and hexes, Carla and Eddie believe their marriage is doomed because they got married at 4:01 pm. (The psychic forecast said it had to be no later than 4.). Eddie promptly gets cut by the Boston Bruins, which he attributes to bad luck--which makes Carla realize that no, Eddie got cut because he's a bad goalie. That helps her to get past all the other superstitious nonsense.

"Little Carla, Happy at Last: Part 2" is the 4th episode of the sixth season of ''Series/{{Cheers}}''.

Events follow immediately after the end of the previous episode. Eddie [=LeBec=] has bailed from his marriage to Carla at the last moment, not because of all the superstitious fears they had in the last episode, but because his mother forbids it. While Carla rages in the office, Rebecca Howe starts freaking out because Evan Drake, her crush, was supposed to come to the reception. After Sam Malone strong-arms Rebecca into promising to get rid of the ugly green uniforms if he can get the wedding going again, he springs into action. Sam drags Eddie back into the bar while sending Frasier after the dress, hoping to get the superstitious couple back together.

!!Tropes:

* DeathGlare: Rebecca's comment about how she'll have egg on her face if there's no reception leads to Cliff going into one of his spiels, this time about how egg is actually good for tightening the pores. Rebecca's DeathGlare cuts Cliff off, and he stammers "Although yours look pretty tight to me!"
* HypocriticalHumor: After Eddie cancels the wedding Cliff sneers that it's ridiculous for a grown man to be that tied to his mother's apron springs. Then he gets mad after a phone call from Ma Clavin telling him that she won't be home for dinner.
* ParentalMarriageVeto: Eddie's mom exercises it decisively, leading Eddie to cancel the wedding.
* PreviouslyOn: Starts with a quick montage summarizing the last episode.
