When Bob's mustache starts to thin out, the kids guess what would have happened if he didn't have a mustache the night he met Linda. Gene cooks up a ''Robocop'' parody where Sgt Boscoe turns Bob into a cyborg policeman with a mechanical mustache, Louise tells a tale of Bob attempting to win Linda's heart with an ill-fated wish, and Tina imagines Linda and Hugo getting married and raising a bizarre alternate version of the Belcher kids.

* AsYouKnow: When Bob and Ron visit Hugo's Hot Dogs, Bob remembers it as a place he tried to rent years ago. Ron then remarks that he went on to have a number of failed businesses.
* BaitAndSwitch: When Bob tries to wipe off the milkshake mustache, Linda stops him and likes him that way. She got a feeling that they were supposed to be together. Bob thinks it's just salmonella.
* BigNo: Gene's reaction to Hugo growing a bushy mustache.
* BlatantLies: In Louise's story, Bob tries to get a job as a carnival freak for Mr. Fischoeder. He claims to have been educated at prestigious schools, only to admit that he was lying.

* DownerEnding: All three stories.
** Gene: Bob dies after fighting Mr. Fischoeder.
** Louise: Bob is forced to become a carnival freak show. Linda joins a convent, thinking it'll be like ''Film/SisterAct'', but then gets kicked out and ends up in jail.
** Tina: Linda is unhappily married to Hugo, and Bob is threatening to close down their restaurant.
* GoneHorriblyRight: In Louise's story, Bob makes a wish for a mustache. He soon gets it, but then is completely covered in hair.
* HeroicBSOD: Tina has an emotional breakdown when she realizes Bob and Linda weren't destined to be together and how Linda would've gone through with marrying Hugo.
* IAteWhat: Teddy is shocked when he learns that the hot dogs are made of actual dogs. Then he finishes the one he was already eating.
* InSpiteOfANail: In Tina's story, Teddy and Mort are still regular patrons of Hugo's hot dog restaurant. Ron is also still the health inspector's assistant.
* OhNoNotAgain: Hugo hates hearing Ron's idea that they were destined to work together.
* PersonalitySwap: In Tina's story, the Habercore children are very different from the Belcher children. Mona is not interested in boys, Dean is timid and apologizes for being too loud, and Charlize dresses as an adorable princess.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Health Inspector Bob is a lot more reasonable than Hugo. He initially dismisses the claim that Hugo is serving actual wiener dogs because it's clearly a fake rumor...right until Hugo freely admits it.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When Hugo says he gets his wiener dogs from the local morgue, Mort immediately leaves and denies that he knows him.
* ShoutOut: The title of the episode is a nod to ''Film/SlidingDoors'', which also revolved around glimpsing at alternate versions of a person's life.
* TooDumbToLive:
** Sgt. Bosco put in a directive to keep [=RoboStache=] from arresting him. But then it's revealed he's actually Mr. Fischoeder, and he didn't put in a directive to protect himself.
** Health Inspector Bob accuses Hugo of selling hot dogs made of wiener dogs. He then says this is obviously a fake rumor, but then Hugo freely admits that it's true.
* WholePlotReference: Gene's story is based on ''Film/RoboCop1987'' while Louise's is based on ''Film/{{Big}}''.
* WrongGenreSavvy: In the end of Louise's story, Linda tried to become a nun because she thought it would be like ''Film/SisterAct''. She was kicked out.
