** John Sheridan may be in charge of a space station five miles long and a quarter of a million people that just broke away from Earth and earned the (sometimes dubious) distinction of being the only human victor over a Minbari warship in naval battle, but put him in front of the girl he likes so he can ask her out to dinner, and he turns into a bashful schoolboy. His attempts at asking her out make progress when Delenn catches on and starts flirting. Later he is just as adorkable when showing Delenn that he made flarn. He finishes his last-minute preparations and hopes she likes the food and table.
** When Vir is introduced to Lyndisty his first reaction is to hide behind Londo's hair and insist that he's not married while staring at Lyndisty. Londo moves him out of his hiding place and later Vir doesn't know what to do when Lyndisty is practically throwing herself at him, prompting him to ask Ivanova for advise.

** Aliens [[Recap/BabylonFiveS02E07SoulMates keep coming to Ivanova]] for TheTalk.

* SoftSpokenSadist: Lyndisty sounds like she's describing a nice and sunny day with lots of flowers when she's talking about killing whole villages on Narn. In fact, she compares the fires burning everything to "brilliant flowers, embracing the spring; bright buds, opening and spreading wider".

* TheApocalypseBringsOutTheBestInPeople: The apocalypse on Narn brought out the best in the former buffoon Vir.

* ItsALongStory: And it has to do with the Narns. Vir sure can be vague when he tries, this is after he has told Lyndisty that he was doing something good, only now it's something quite bad. For him at least.

* HeroOfAnotherStory: Vir has been this for the first half of this season.

* UncannyValley: Lyndisty's eyes are always wide open and she rarely blinks except for when she's flirting with Vir in the zen garden, and even then it's mostly when she's seen in profile or at a distance. Or both.

* DescriptionCut: Played with. Right after Ivanova says that it's no wonder the Narn are after Vir and anyone close to him we see a Narn following Lyndisty. She is their real target, Vir just got in the way earlier.

* DerailedForDetails: Londo is complaining about a bug in his quarters. Then he is talking about an alien race he likes because they are terrible at cards because of their compound eyes.

* SamaritanSyndrome: Vir has been chomping at the bit to help the Narns ever since the war ended. With his posting to Minbar he finally has a chance and takes it. Unfortunately, he's forced to reveal the details in front of Londo who promptly shuts the whole thing down, which is probably fortunate for Vir in that Londo just confines him to B5. Anyone else would have probably had him for treason, and then tried to use it against Londo.

* SamaritanSyndrome: Vir would've rather stayed on Minbar.

Instead, I had them sent to other worlds, got them medical care and when they were healthier, I had them filtered back here to Babylon 5 or sent elsewhere.\\

'''Vir''': Because back home nobody cares about dead Narns, only living ones. While I was here there was nothing that I could do. But while I was running the diplomatic mission on Minbar I had the chance to do something, and I took it. My only regret is that I couldn't have saved more of them.

* JumpedAtTheCall: Vir took his chance to smuggle Narns to safety.

* LawfulEvil: Played with. Lyndisty didn't break any Centauri laws, but there are probably interstellar treaties that the Centauri see as "ink on a page".
* LesserOfTwoEvils: Subverted. Vir first tells Ivanova that being sent to work close to Centauri Prime is preferential to being left on Narn. We later find out that the Narns who have been sent to work have been sent to safety and registered as dead in Centauri databases.

** [[Recap/BabylonFiveS03E21ComesTheInquisitor G'Kar rejected the apology of one of the Centauri who didn't want the war]] [[Recap/BabylonFiveS02E09TheComingOfShadows (the other being Emperor Turhan)]] since he couldn't apologize to the dead. Here Vir has found his answer, he can do something for the living.
