----
* ArtifactOfAttraction: The Infinity Stones tempt anyone who comes near them with whispers of using their power. Heimdall only needs to be near them for a moment before getting visions of overthrowing Odin.
* BlackEyesOfEvil: Widow gains them when she finally gives in to the Stones and uses their power.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Dormammu gets involved in the fight over the Stones, but his role in the episode is mostly just standing around going "roar" until Nat finally banishes him.
* HeroicWillpower: Only Nat's SHIELD training can get her to resist the whispers of the Stones, and even she's aware it won't hold forever.
* IGaveMyWord: Thor's word is his bond, so when Nat asks him to agree to stop her if she uses the Stones, he does so, however reluctantly.
* IWasNeverHere: Hulk initially stands in Nat and Thor's way, but when Nat persuades him, he stands aside, telling them he never saw them.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: The Guardians of the Galaxy, drawn by the allure of the Stones, attack Nat. The Avengers, having come to their senses, help her.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Said by Nat when she snaps out of the Stone-induced power high.
* NotHimself: At the episode's beginning, Tony's far more short-tempered than usual, outright smashing his stuff in a bad mood with Star-Lord, since the Stones are already working on him.
