* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: This is PlayedForDrama and becomes important in the climax. After Linkara is freed from The Entity and discusses how to deal with it with his friends and Lord Vyce, he asks the important question, if The Entity has been awake for years, ever since the incident with the King of Worms, why hasn't it taken over the planet again like it did last time? Even Lord Vyce admits that this is a good question and he never considered it. It turns out, The Entity hasn't done this because it ''still believes Linkara's earlier taunt towards it that its existence is meaningless''. It is playing this "game" between them for as long as possible in order to postpone its "goal" of absorbing all life. When Linkara refuses to play its "game" anymore, it commits suicide again.

* HeelFaceDorrSlam: Lord Vyce gets one in the climax of the arc, starting with his own RedemptionRejection. He starts the arc allying with 90's Kid, due to both of them wanting to stop The Entity. He is shown to genuinely bond with 90's Kid during their time together, opening up to him about his past and outright says he respects him. He also forms an EnemyMine with Linkara's team to free him, and later Linkara himself in an attempt to destroy the Entity for good, even finally referring to Nimue by her name instead of just "Computer". However, when The Entity destroys itself rather than being killed by the plan he and the others made, [[VillainousBreakdown Vyce goes insane from paranoia]], betrays the others, and attempts to destroy the entire universe to ensure The Entity is dead by his hands, imprisoning 90's Kid and the others in the brig to stop them from interfering. After Linkara tricks him with Holokarra, trapping him onboard Comicron 2 and heading for the Singularity, [[VilliansWantMercy Vyce pathetically begs Linkara to save him]], saying they can stop The Entity together. Linkarra ignores his pleas, saying he has already stopped The Entity, and he won't allow Vyce to continue to hurt others with his deluded hunt anymore, leaving Vyce to his fate.

** Linkara speculates that the reason Nimue couldn’t find the Entity during her scan of Earth was that it was on Comicron One. He’s technically right: Linkara 'is' the Entity.

** After overloading the controls of Comicron 2 to triumph over the Entity once and for all, Vyce has another, much more prolonged breakdown when he discovers that the Entity was possessing a fake Linkara (Holokara) and that the real Linkara, on Comicron 1, had bluffed Vyce. Vyce is outraged at being outwitted yet again and demands to know where the Entity is, and Linkara insists that it's very much dead this time. [[IRejectYourReality Vyce screams at Linkara that he doesn't know that,]] but Linkara is confident this time. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Vyce realizes he has overloaded his own ship's controls and that nothing can stop it from going into the singularity.]] He pathetically begs Linkara to let him back onto the ship to let him continue the hunt, but Linkara won't have it, insisting that he has beaten the Entity already and is going to take Vyce along with it as well, then cuts off the transmission, sealing Vyce's fate once and for all. He only has a few seconds to scream [[BigNo "NO!!!"]] before he is consumed by the singularity.

* MotiveDecay: The Entity's motives and actions are acknowledged by the crew as being bizarre: once Linkara is freed from its influence, he points out that despite being reawakened for almost three years, the Entity hasn't done ''anything.'' When Linkara finally confronts it on Comicron 2, all it does is attempt to goad him to keep fighting, even though there's nothing stopping itfrom claiming the victory it ostensibly wants right then and there. This leads Linkara to realize the truth- the Entity ''wants'' him to to keep playing, because the “game” is the only thing keeping it from dwelling on its newfound existential dread. If it "won," it'd lose its only sense of purpose.

* SanitySlippage: Linkara seems to be suffering from this, especially after the destruction of Comicron 1, as his paranoia grows and he starts shutting out his friends in his certainty that either the Entity is coming back or Vyce is going to become it. However, it turns out that a piece of the Entity ''is'' still alive, but it's been possessing Linkara himself the whole time -- and still worse, after they become separate and he's ''finally'' able to defeat it, a watching Vyce loses his last thread of sanity, flying into a rage, refusing to believe it's gone, and trying to ''destroy the Earth'' in his mad desire to win his war against the monster.

It becomes all the more noticeable when he tries to defeat the Entity by overloading his own ship so it will go into the singularity with no way out and take the Entity with it, only to discover that the Entity was a fake controlled by Linkara. He ragingly demands that Linkara tell him where the Entity is and still refuses to believe him when he insists that it's really gone this time.

Vyce, outraged at being outwitted yet again, demands to know where the Entity is, and Linkara insists that it's very much dead this time. Vyce screams at Linkara that he doesn't know that, but Linkara is confident this time. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Vyce realizes he has overloaded his own ship's controls and that nothing can stop it from going into the singularity.]] He pathetically begs Linkara to let him back onto the ship to let him continue the hunt, but Linkara won't have it, insisting that he has beaten the Entity already and is going to take Vyce along with it as well, then cuts off the transmission, sealing Vyce's face, who only has a few seconds to scream [[BigNo "NO!!!"]] before he is consumed by the singularity.
