** Linkara himself gets chewed out over his actions in looking for Vyce, crossing lines the others don't like. While they were right to worry about Linkara, they were also RightForTheWrongReasons, as a piece of the Entity was really hiding in Linkara himself.

** Linkara speculates that the reason Nimue couldn’t find the Entity during her scan of Earth was that it was on Comicron One. He’s technically right: Linkara 'is' the Entity.

** After overloading the controls of Comicron 2 to triumph over the Entity once and for all, Vyce has another, much more prolonged breakdown when he discovers that the Entity was possessing a fake Linkara (Holokara) and that the real Linkara, on Comicron 1, had bluffed Vyce. Vyce is outraged at being outwitted yet again and demands to know where the Entity is, and Linkara insists that it's very much dead this time. [[IRejectYourReality Vyce screams at Linkara that he doesn't know that,]] but Linkara is confident this time. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Vyce realizes he has overloaded his own ship's controls and that nothing can stop it from going into the singularity.]] He pathetically begs Linkara to let him back onto the ship to let him continue the hunt, but Linkara won't have it, insisting that he has beaten the Entity already and is going to take Vyce along with it as well, then cuts off the transmission, sealing Vyce's fate once and for all. He only has a few seconds to scream [[BigNo "NO!!!"]] before he is consumed by the singularity.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Vyce has this reaction after trying to stop the Entity by overloading Comicron 2's controls so that it will go into the singularity and take the Entity with it, only to realize, too late, that the Entity is a fake and that he has disabled his own ship with no way to turn away from the singularity.

* MotiveDecay: The Entity's motives and actions are acknowledged by the crew as being bizarre: once Linkara is freed from its influence, he points out that despite being reawakened for almost three years, the Entity hasn't done ''anything.'' When Linkara finally confronts it on Comicron 2, all it does is attempt to goad him to keep fighting, even though there's nothing stopping itfrom claiming the victory it ostensibly wants right then and there. This leads Linkara to realize the truth- the Entity ''wants'' him to to keep playing, because the “game” is the only thing keeping it from dwelling on its newfound existential dread. If it "won," it'd lose its only sense of purpose.

* VillainsWantMercy: In the climax, having realized too late that he had overloaded the ship's controls to keep it from escaping the Singularity after Linkara tricked him with a fake version of the Entity, Lord Vyce pleads with Linkara to save him so he can carry on the hunt for the Entity, but Linkara won't have it, deciding to leave his sworn enemy to his fate.

* RightForTheWrongReasons: Harvey, Pollo, and Linksano were right to worry about Linkara's actions. What they were wrong about is the reason why -- they thought Linkara has been turning into a WellIntentionedExtremist, but in truth, the Entity has taken over his body.

However, it turns out that a piece of the Entity ''is'' still alive, but it's been possessing Linkara himself the whole time -- and still worse, after they become separate and he's ''finally'' able to defeat it, a watching Vyce loses his last thread of sanity, flying into a rage, refusing to believe it's gone, and trying to ''destroy the Earth'' in his mad desire to win his war against the monster. It becomes all the more noticeable when he tries to defeat the Entity by overloading his own ship so it will go into the singularity with no way out and take the Entity with it, only to discover that the Entity was a fake controlled by Linkara. He ragingly demands that Linkara tell him where the Entity is and stubbornly refuses to believe him when he insists that it's really gone this time.

The main difference is that Linkara believes we can define our own significance and strives to seek new challenges before his time is over, whereas the Entity cannot handle the idea that its existence means so little to eternity itself and chooses to die rather than try anything new.
** The Entity has been reduced to playing sadistic games to avoid its fear at the meaninglessness of its existence, and when it can't find a reason to continue, it kills itself; Lord Vyce responds by insisting it's still alive and [[OmnicidalManiac trying to destroy the Earth in a trap to catch it]] while showing a lot about his character with the line [[IronicEcho "Behold the end of this game!]] LORD VYCE WINS!"

* {{Foreshadowing}}: A small but noticeable indication [[spoiler: that the Entity is closer than anyone realizes]] is that Margaret doesn't attempt to stop Linkara through [[SanitySlippage his apparent slide into]] [[WellIntentionedExtremist "the end justifies the means" paranoia and subterfuge.]] Margaret, the magic gun who stubbornly refused to fire and stopped all of Linkara's magic before just because he seemed to be on the verge of ''possibly'' turning evil, and yet she's suspiciously silent until TheReveal of what happened to her. Not just {{Foreshadowing}} so much as a giant red flag waving in everyone's faces.
