However, Finn's attempts to flirt with her only serves to anger Flame Princess even further and generally doing nothing helpful in the process with Cinnamon Bun doing all the work, thus he loses Flame Princess to Cinnamon Bun (so he thinks) and, heartbroken and angry, leaves the Fire Kingdom for years without end, never visiting or speaking to Flame Princess despite the promise, and even holding contempt for her, believing she's dating Cinnamon Bun. Had PB not directly task Finn to revisit the Fire Kingdom later, he would have remain estranged from her, which could have led to Finn murdering Flame Princess in cold blood and a FaceHeelTurn later down the line.
