** Update: Whoopsie! I couldn’t resist the urge to explore, but once again, I got distracted while writing this entry and Anna Banana and Sash had to stop me before I fell down another flight of stairs. Whew! Thanks again for that! Some things never change lol.
* Oh, how rude! I forgot to introduce us! So, hi Trope Pantheon Gods! My name is Marcy Regina Wu, and these are my best friends, Anne Savsia Boonchuy and Sasha Elizabeth Waybright! We’re from Los Angeles, and one day, my parents told me they were going to move out because Dad got a new job! I ran away in tears and found this music box in a thrift store, which I read somewhere in a book that it can open portals to other worlds! So, I asked Anne to buy it for us (JK, she stole it lmao) and it worked! Worked a little ''too'' well, though. We woke up in another dimension called “Amphibia”, a world populated by anthropomorphic frogs, toads, and newts! (Note: DO NOT call the newts “salamanders”; they find that highly offensive!) I thought, wow! We can go on out very own isekai fantasy RPG adventure in real life! But it didn’t go as planned…
** I woke up in Newtopia, a gorgeous city populated by newts. Anne woke up in Wartwood, a small farming village of frogs. And Sasha woke up as a prisoner in Toad Tower! After some fantasy hijinks, we reunited and spoke with King Andrias Leviathan, my (former) best friend from Newtopia, to help us get back home. We took the temple trials, recharged the stones, got into fights, worked out our differences, ALMOST DIED, and in the end… the King lied! Anne was sent back to Earth, I was lethally injured and then possessed, Sasha organized a resistance… it was crazy, Jo! Overall, our conflicts lead the Court of the Gods to ascend us under the title of '''Goddess of [[FightingYourFriend Friends Fighting]]'''. We aren’t proud of it, but honestly? We kinda deserve it. At least the Court is considering locking up the music box in their high-security vault. We do NOT need another universal war breaking out!

** Update: Whew, okay, I’ve had a moment to calm down… So, we were delighted to see the Plantars in the Pantheon, and so were they! They were also kinda surprised to see how much we’ve grown since our last adventure together. Hey, fair! It’s been, like 10 years and we all have jobs now! Anne’s a herpetologist and works at an aquarium (she named a pink frog after Sprig - cuuute!), Sasha’s a psychologist, and me? I’m a webcomic cartoonist! Oh yeah, Jo, did I mention that the people of Amphibia didn’t know what movies or comics were until we came along? I feel sorry for how much they’ve been missing out! I showed a few chapters of my comic to the Plantars, and they seem to love it! Didn’t think Hop Pop would love it the most out of them lol.
* After our tearful reunion, we immediately started looking for amphibian Gods to become friends with. We started with Kermit the Frog, and he is so funny!. In fact, Anne can recall meeting an expy of the famous Muppet in Amphibia named “Crumpet”. Kermit was quite interested in meeting him once he found out. Princess Tiana reminded Anne of a friend of hers back home, museum curator Dr. Jan, and said it was because [[Creator/AnikaNoniRose they sound similar]]. Tiana is conflicted on Amphibia, as her experience as a frog wasn’t as much a fun adventure. (Yeah, our adventures ''with'' frogs weren’t so fun, so I can relate.) Sasha was quite interested in Mr. Toad, though surprisingly, she wasn’t disappointed to learn that this toad wasn’t a brutish warrior. Though, both are quite good at being reckless and aggressive, and she sometimes goes on joyrides with him throughout The River in his stolen car. Oh, and how could I forget Greninja! He’s a freaking NINJA FROG! Sadly, the Ninja Pokémon didn’t want anything to do with my geeking out ugh.
* Anyone who reminds us of The Core is automatically an enemy, no questions asked! Not only did The Core trick King Andrias into starting the whole mess in the first place, and not only did it try to destroy the world by [[ColonyDrop crashing the moon into it]], but it possessed me and used my body as a host! We are especially fearful of Majora and the Skull Kid, as they also tried to crash their moon into their world. The Harvesters also became our enemy for being PlanetLooters; Andrias’ frobot army came about through mass purging of Amphibia’s resources, turning it into a PollutedWasteland. At the ''very least'', Andrias learned from his mistakes, and helped to rebuilt the world he destroyed, but I don’t have much hope that the Harvesters will turn over a new leaf!
* Okay, Jo, imma pass you over to Anne so she can talk more about herself. Take it away, Anna Banana!
** Thanks, Mar-Mar! Sup, I’m Anne Boonchuy! I’m the daughter of Thai immigrants; we own a Thai restaurant in town! Before my 13th birthday, I was known for goofing up, causing trouble, and coasting along in school. Then Marcy made me steal and use the music box (and made me miss my birthday party!), and nothing was ever the same. I woke up in a dark forest with nothing but bugs to eat, and I had to rely on my instincts to survive, until I met (okay, accidentally trapped…) this nice pink frog named Sprig Plantar. He took me into the town of Wartwood, and they did not welcome me too warmly! (They thought I was a monster! Ugh!) But, under the care of the Plantars, I learned more about the town, they warmed up to me, I defended them from a toad invasion, and then I saved the world with the last of my strength, dying in the process. Then I woke up and was told by a God who looks like my cat Domino that I was placed into a “backup body” they made. That’s gonna cause some existential problems! You’d expect me to regard this adventure as a massive traumatic experience, but ultimately, I’m happy I went on it. Without Amphibia, I wouldn’t have made an effort to better myself as a person, I wouldn’t have learned to appreciate all my parents have done for me… Change is scary, but it was all worth it to me.
** As we recharged the stones of the music box, I forgot to charge mine all the way. “Whoops!”, you may be thinking, but actually, it benefitted me in the end! When Sprig was put in danger after Andrias’ betrayal, something awoke inside me. Some kind of “blue anime powers”. I felt like I could take on the world! Wherever I looked, I could be there! My strength was too much for the King to handle! It wore off, and I felt awful afterwards, but every so often, those powers would activate when my family was in danger, and not just the Plantars, but my amazing parents. Even on Earth, with no music box in sight! I can’t wait to show my powers to Son Goku; he’d love it!
** Many have asked me, “Oh, Anne, girl! Why did you spend 5 months in Amphibia wearing a ratty school uniform, one shoe, and a dirty sock?” Well, in my defense, I was living in a farming village with frogs who have much smaller shoe sizes than me, and that’s if they even wear shoes to begin with! Where was I supposed to find practical clothes? In hindsight, when Bernardo the armorer gave me the opportunity to get a new look, I guess I could have picked out some new boots…
** Gotta admit, I’m not to fond of Grunkle Stan. Sure, he’s a friendly guy, but he reminds me of another wax museum curator in Amphibia who looks and sounds just like him. This curator, Ponds, tricked me into becoming the star attraction of the museum when I and the Plantars were low on cash, but “star attraction” in this case meant “another display”. The wax museum, as it turned out, didn’t have models, but real creatures frozen in wax! Can you believe that, Jo? How cruel! Stan was rather taken aback when he heard about this, though he showed interest in the concept of alternate-universe counterparts. Stan’s assistant, Soos, was also interested in ''his'' counterpart, Frog Soos. (Real original, guys…)
** This girl named Miaka Yuuki was interested in my adventures in Amphibia. And guess what? We’re both underachieving schoolgirls who learned to be selfless heroines on our adventures in new worlds, and our best friends who were also sent to the same other-world became our enemy! It’s like we were made for each other or something! (Still questioning if I’m sapphic or not.) We enjoy sharing our stories with each other, especially of Yui and Sasha.
** Oh, it keep getting better! I found another set of Goddesses who used to be friends before a falling-out, and learned to make up! They’re called [[Pantheon/RomanticOrientation Adora and Catra]], and Adora even has cool anime powers just like me! Well, she transforms like a MagicalGirl and I just go Super-Saiyan, but still! We bonded pretty quickly, but I have to admit, I think she forgave Catra a little too easily. But that’s just me.
* Speaking of which, how about I hand you over to Sasha, Jo? Take it away, Sash!
** Thanks, Anne! Whaddup, I’m Sasha Waybright! Not much of a sophisticated writer, so I’ll keep this brief. So Anne and Marcy woke up and got to go on cool adventures with new friends, and what do I get? Taken prisoner by these fat, ugly toads who feed me crickets, of course! ''Groooooss!'' At some point, I wasn’t having it anymore! I told them, hey, if you let me defeat those herons bothering you, then let me out of prison and make me your battle queen! And then I kicked the herons’ butts and they gave me this sick new suit of armor and a sword! We started an attack on Wartwood, but Anne was not having it! I couldn’t believe my best friend was willing to give up our friendship for some gross frogs! Worse still, I tricked Anne into helping me launch a coup in Amphibia, and our friendship was no more. Except, oops! I accidentally saved the world from an evil multi-dimensional tyrant who wanted to destroy our home! For, like, 5 seconds, but still! You’re WELCOME, Anne!
** After that whole… fiasco… I had nowhere to go besides Wartwood. I read Anne’s notebook. I realized she really did trust me. She believed in me, and how did I repay her? With a knife in her back! I called her my best friend, but I never acted like a friend. I started to cry… I never cry! I knew what I had to do then; I had to lead a resistance against the King. I had to unite the frogs, toads, and newts to save Amphibia ''and'' Earth! It wasn’t easy, and I was so worried about pushing Anne away again… but it all worked out! We worked as one and we were victorious! I’ve been working hard to better myself ever since, and I’m doing pretty good as a psychologist!
** Before I could ascend, the Court of the Gods made sure I relinquished my sword and hidden daggers. You wouldn’t know, but I hid daggers in my shoulder pads, ponytail, and boot... a little too much in my boot, though, to the point where, upon disarming myself, the Court of the Gods’ first question was, “How did you even walk?” Funny! Grimesy asked the same thing!
** Do NOT remind me of my past control freak tendencies; I am not that person anymore! I became a psychologist in order to teach others not to repeat my mistakes! Especially don’t let Yuuki Terumi and Johann Liebert troll me about it! Things WILL get ugly fast, and you don’t want Anne to unleash her blue anime powers on you!

Weeeeell… fell down a flight of stairs, broke a leg (luckily, the newts have free public healthcare!), defeated a giant crab, became a Night Ranger, made great friends with King Andrias, fought off a creepy cult with my new comrades (Javi, Kettle and Femur, I hope you’re doing well!), became a DM for Creatures and Caverns campaigns, fought off some barbari-ants to save and reunite with Anne and the Plantars, accidentally sank Wartwood (whoops! :P), had a very interesting dinner with the girls and their friends, recharged the stones of the music box, brought it back to Andrias… got betrayed… literally got stabbed in the back… almost died… got possessed and almost assimilated into a MindHive called The Core… lost my Anna Banana… had to go to the hospital to recover from all of it… *sniff* So, yeah, pretty fun adventure, Jo!]]
** How clumsy am I? Oh, Jo, where do I begin??? Back on Earth, I overflowed an ice cream cone, was distracted during a school play, almost hit my face against a locker, only to fall into a garbage can instead, shaved Anne bald while giving her a haircut (“Too short?” I said. Lol.) and walked into a zoo during a snake escape. (Those bites HURT!) To top it all off, I went BeyondTheImpossible during the final battle against The Core by tripping ''in the vacuum of space!'' How- how does- I can’t even, Jo! Thus, while the other girls are Lesser Goddesses in their depowered states, the Court of the Gods made me a Quasideity for me clumsiness. You know what? Fair.
** So I heard that my two favorite game franchises of all time, Creatures and Caverns and The Ballad of Zorda, are actually called “TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons” and “Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda”. And OMG, there are deities from these two games in the Pantheon! I asked for the autograph of [=DnD=]’s creators, [[Pantheon/FormsOfMedia Gary and Dave]], but to no avail ugh! But at least the protagonist of Zelda, [[Pantheon/HeroicRoles Link]], is here! ** Update: Whoopsie! I couldn’t resist the urge to explore, but once again, I got distracted while writing this entry and Anna Banana and Sash had to stop me before I fell down another flight of stairs. Whew! Thanks again for that! Some things never change lol.
* Oh, how rude! I forgot to introduce us! So, hi Trope Pantheon Gods! My name is Marcy Regina Wu, and these are my best friends, Anne Savsia Boonchuy and Sasha Elizabeth Waybright! We’re from Los Angeles, and one day, my parents told me they were going to move out because Dad got a new job! I ran away in tears and found this music box in a thrift store, which I read somewhere in a book that it can open portals to other worlds! So, I asked Anne to buy it for us (JK, she stole it lmao) and it worked! Worked a little ''too'' well, though. We woke up in another dimension called “Amphibia”, a world populated by anthropomorphic frogs, toads, and newts! (Note: DO NOT call the newts “salamanders”; they find that highly offensive!) I thought, wow! We can go on out very own isekai fantasy RPG adventure in real life! But it didn’t go as planned…
** I woke up in Newtopia, a gorgeous city populated by newts. Anne woke up in Wartwood, a small farming village of frogs. And Sasha woke up as a prisoner in Toad Tower! After some fantasy hijinks, we reunited and spoke with King Andrias Leviathan, my (former) best friend from Newtopia, to help us get back home. We took the temple trials, recharged the stones, got into fights, worked out our differences, ALMOST DIED, and in the end… the King lied! Anne was sent back to Earth, I was lethally injured and then possessed, Sasha organized a resistance… it was crazy, Jo! Overall, our conflicts lead the Court of the Gods to ascend us under the title of '''Goddess of [[FightingYourFriend Friends Fighting]]'''. We aren’t proud of it, but honestly? We kinda deserve it. At least the Court is considering locking up the music box in their high-security vault. We do NOT need another universal war breaking out!
* THE PLANTARS ARE IN THE PANTHEON TOO! AAAAAAAHHHHHH :D
** Update: Whew, okay, I’ve had a moment to calm down… So, we were delighted to see the Plantars in the Pantheon, and so were they! They were also kinda surprised to see how much we’ve grown since our last adventure together. Hey, fair! It’s been, like 10 years and we all have jobs now! Anne’s a herpetologist and works at an aquarium (she named a pink frog after Sprig - cuuute!), Sasha’s a psychologist, and me? I’m a webcomic cartoonist! Oh yeah, Jo, did I mention that the people of Amphibia didn’t know what movies or comics were until we came along? I feel sorry for how much they’ve been missing out! I showed a few chapters of my comic to the Plantars, and they seem to love it! Didn’t think Hop Pop would love it the most out of them lol.
* After our tearful reunion, we immediately started looking for amphibian Gods to become friends with. We started with Kermit the Frog, and he is so funny!. In fact, Anne can recall meeting an expy of the famous Muppet in Amphibia named “Crumpet”. Kermit was quite interested in meeting him once he found out. Princess Tiana reminded Anne of a friend of hers back home, museum curator Dr. Jan, and said it was because [[Creator/AnikaNoniRose they sound similar]]. Tiana is conflicted on Amphibia, as her experience as a frog wasn’t as much a fun adventure. (Yeah, our adventures ''with'' frogs weren’t so fun, so I can relate.) Sasha was quite interested in Mr. Toad, though surprisingly, she wasn’t disappointed to learn that this toad wasn’t a brutish warrior. Though, both are quite good at being reckless and aggressive, and she sometimes goes on joyrides with him throughout The River in his stolen car. Oh, and how could I forget Greninja! He’s a freaking NINJA FROG! Sadly, the Ninja Pokémon didn’t want anything to do with my geeking out ugh.
* Anyone who reminds us of The Core is automatically an enemy, no questions asked! Not only did The Core trick King Andrias into starting the whole mess in the first place, and not only did it try to destroy the world by [[ColonyDrop crashing the moon into it]], but it possessed me and used my body as a host! We are especially fearful of Majora and the Skull Kid, as they also tried to crash their moon into their world. The Harvesters also became our enemy for being PlanetLooters; Andrias’ frobot army came about through mass purging of Amphibia’s resources, turning it into a PollutedWasteland. At the ''very least'', Andrias learned from his mistakes, and helped to rebuilt the world he destroyed, but I don’t have much hope that the Harvesters will turn over a new leaf!
* Okay, Jo, imma pass you over to Anne so she can talk more about herself. Take it away, Anna Banana!
** Thanks, Mar-Mar! Sup, I’m Anne Boonchuy! I’m the daughter of Thai immigrants; we own a Thai restaurant in town! Before my 13th birthday, I was known for goofing up, causing trouble, and coasting along in school. Then Marcy made me steal and use the music box (and made me miss my birthday party!), and nothing was ever the same. I woke up in a dark forest with nothing but bugs to eat, and I had to rely on my instincts to survive, until I met (okay, accidentally trapped…) this nice pink frog named Sprig Plantar. He took me into the town of Wartwood, and they did not welcome me too warmly! (They thought I was a monster! Ugh!) But, under the care of the Plantars, I learned more about the town, they warmed up to me, I defended them from a toad invasion, and then I saved the world with the last of my strength, dying in the process. Then I woke up and was told by a God who looks like my cat Domino that I was placed into a “backup body” they made. That’s gonna cause some existential problems! You’d expect me to regard this adventure as a massive traumatic experience, but ultimately, I’m happy I went on it. Without Amphibia, I wouldn’t have made an effort to better myself as a person, I wouldn’t have learned to appreciate all my parents have done for me… Change is scary, but it was all worth it to me.
** As we recharged the stones of the music box, I forgot to charge mine all the way. “Whoops!”, you may be thinking, but actually, it benefitted me in the end! When Sprig was put in danger after Andrias’ betrayal, something awoke inside me. Some kind of “blue anime powers”. I felt like I could take on the world! Wherever I looked, I could be there! My strength was too much for the King to handle! It wore off, and I felt awful afterwards, but every so often, those powers would activate when my family was in danger, and not just the Plantars, but my amazing parents. Even on Earth, with no music box in sight! I can’t wait to show my powers to Son Goku; he’d love it!
** Many have asked me, “Oh, Anne, girl! Why did you spend 5 months in Amphibia wearing a ratty school uniform, one shoe, and a dirty sock?” Well, in my defense, I was living in a farming village with frogs who have much smaller shoe sizes than me, and that’s if they even wear shoes to begin with! Where was I supposed to find practical clothes? In hindsight, when Bernardo the armorer gave me the opportunity to get a new look, I guess I could have picked out some new boots…
** Gotta admit, I’m not to fond of Grunkle Stan. Sure, he’s a friendly guy, but he reminds me of another wax museum curator in Amphibia who looks and sounds just like him. This curator, Ponds, tricked me into becoming the star attraction of the museum when I and the Plantars were low on cash, but “star attraction” in this case meant “another display”. The wax museum, as it turned out, didn’t have models, but real creatures frozen in wax! Can you believe that, Jo? How cruel! Stan was rather taken aback when he heard about this, though he showed interest in the concept of alternate-universe counterparts. Stan’s assistant, Soos, was also interested in ''his'' counterpart, Frog Soos. (Real original, guys…)
** This girl named Miaka Yuuki was interested in my adventures in Amphibia. And guess what? We’re both underachieving schoolgirls who learned to be selfless heroines on our adventures in new worlds, and our best friends who were also sent to the same other-world became our enemy! It’s like we were made for each other or something! (Still questioning if I’m sapphic or not.) We enjoy sharing our stories with each other, especially of Yui and Sasha.
** Oh, it keep getting better! I found another set of Goddesses who used to be friends before a falling-out, and learned to make up! They’re called [[Pantheon/RomanticOrientation Adora and Catra]], and Adora even has cool anime powers just like me! Well, she transforms like a MagicalGirl and I just go Super-Saiyan, but still! We bonded pretty quickly, but I have to admit, I think she forgave Catra a little too easily. But that’s just me.
* Speaking of which, how about I hand you over to Sasha, Jo? Take it away, Sash!
** Thanks, Anne! Whaddup, I’m Sasha Waybright! Not much of a sophisticated writer, so I’ll keep this brief. So Anne and Marcy woke up and got to go on cool adventures with new friends, and what do I get? Taken prisoner by these fat, ugly toads who feed me crickets, of course! ''Groooooss!'' At some point, I wasn’t having it anymore! I told them, hey, if you let me defeat those herons bothering you, then let me out of prison and make me your battle queen! And then I kicked the herons’ butts and they gave me this sick new suit of armor and a sword! We started an attack on Wartwood, but Anne was not having it! I couldn’t believe my best friend was willing to give up our friendship for some gross frogs! Worse still, I tricked Anne into helping me launch a coup in Amphibia, and our friendship was no more. Except, oops! I accidentally saved the world from an evil multi-dimensional tyrant who wanted to destroy our home! For, like, 5 seconds, but still! You’re WELCOME, Anne!
** After that whole… fiasco… I had nowhere to go besides Wartwood. I read Anne’s notebook. I realized she really did trust me. She believed in me, and how did I repay her? With a knife in her back! I called her my best friend, but I never acted like a friend. I started to cry… I never cry! I knew what I had to do then; I had to lead a resistance against the King. I had to unite the frogs, toads, and newts to save Amphibia ''and'' Earth! It wasn’t easy, and I was so worried about pushing Anne away again… but it all worked out! We worked as one and we were victorious! I’ve been working hard to better myself ever since, and I’m doing pretty good as a psychologist!
** Before I could ascend, the Court of the Gods made sure I relinquished my sword and hidden daggers. You wouldn’t know, but I hid daggers in my shoulder pads, ponytail, and boot... a little too much in my boot, though, to the point where, upon disarming myself, the Court of the Gods’ first question was, “How did you even walk?” Funny! Grimesy asked the same thing!
** Do NOT remind me of my past control freak tendencies; I am not that person anymore! I became a psychologist in order to teach others not to repeat my mistakes! Especially don’t let Yuuki Terumi and Johann Liebert troll me about it! Things WILL get ugly fast, and you don’t want Anne to unleash her blue anime powers on you!
* Well, so much for keeping it brief. Back to you, Mar-Mar!

Weeeeell… fell down a flight of stairs, broke a leg (luckily, the newts have free public healthcare!), defeated a giant crab, became a Night Ranger, made great friends with King Andrias, fought off a creepy cult with my new comrades (Javi, Kettle and Femur, I hope you’re doing well!), became a DM for Creatures and Caverns campaigns, fought off some barbari-ants to save and reunite with Anne and the Plantars, accidentally sank Wartwood (whoops! :P), had a very interesting dinner with the girls and their friends, recharged the stones of the music box, brought it back to Andrias… got betrayed… literally got stabbed in the back… almost died… got possessed and almost assimilated into a MindHive called The Core… lost my Anna Banana… had to go to the hospital to recover from all of it… *sniff* So, yeah, pretty fun adventure, Jo!]]
** How clumsy am I? Oh, Jo, where do I begin??? Back on Earth, I overflowed an ice cream cone, was distracted during a school play, almost hit my face against a locker, only to fall into a garbage can instead, shaved Anne bald while giving her a haircut (“Too short?” I said. Lol.) and walked into a zoo during a snake escape. (Those bites HURT!) To top it all off, I went BeyondTheImpossible during the final battle against The Core by tripping ''in the vacuum of space!'' How- how does- I can’t even, Jo! Thus, while the other girls are Lesser Goddesses in their depowered states, the Court of the Gods made me a Quasideity for me clumsiness. You know what? Fair.
** So I heard that my two favorite game franchises of all time, Creatures and Caverns and The Ballad of Zorda, are actually called “TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons” and “Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda”. And OMG, there are deities from these two games in the Pantheon! I asked for the autograph of [=DnD=]’s creators, [[Pantheon/FormsOfMedia Gary and Dave]], but to no avail ugh! But at least the protagonist of Zelda, [[Pantheon/HeroicRoles Link]], is here!
