* One of the strangest stories he's told gods was that during the Crossing of the Delaware, he found [[Literature/TheMagicTreehouse two kids who stowed away on his boat]] and [[ItMakesSenseInContext wished him a Merry Christmas]]. Years later, during the drafting of the Declaration of Independence, he saw the two kids again and questioned if they were the same ones from that crossing. Turns out they were, and Jack and Annie were glad to see him once again.
