* The Flag Raisers arrived in the Pantheon via an [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landing_Vehicle_Tracked LVT]], complete with both of the flags they raised over Mt. Surbachi on Iwo Jima. The very first deity to greet them was, appropriately enough, [[Pantheon/MilitaryRanks Sgt. John Basilone]], whom they served alongside with during the first day of the battle there. They and the Sergeant discuss for several hours their own experiences during the battle, including [[spoiler:how some of them were killed or wounded during the battle]].
** Much like Sgt. Basilone, they're also not too friendly with their US Army counterparts in the Pantheon, particularly with regards to supplies.
* [[Pantheon/MilitaryRanks Sgt. Hartman]], while normally looking down on recruits, praises them for their service to the Corps, as well as their valuable contribution DuringTheWar.
* Their very status as war heroes earns the interest of General Shepherd and Senator Armstrong. As with a lot of other deities before them, they refuse their offers of selling War Bonds for their cause, knowing full well their motives reek of WarForFunAndProfit. The fact that two of the surviving Flag Raisers were reluctant in the first place to even become propaganda icons doesen't help the already growing distrust between both parties.
** The only person apparently interested in their offer is Rene, but the rest of the group eventually force him not to push through with it.
* Much like Basilone before them, they refuse any association with any of the IJN-affiliated ship girls, much less [[Pantheon/CharacterRoles their commander]]. The only reason they're not firing on them is due to the efforts of American ship girls, particularly [[Pantheon/RacialAppearances Iowa]], telling them about much bigger threats that they themselves could only dream of, much less be capable of fighting. Her personally showing them the ascended Abyssals within the Pantheon convinces them to stop antagonizing the IJN Fleet girls for good.
** Pretty much the same applies towards the witches of the Fuso Empire. Bonus points for [[Pantheon/{{Personality}} Shirley Yeager]] personally showing them just what kind of monstrosity [[Pantheon/PowerAndAbilities The Neuroi]] are. The fact that their weapons wouldn't even scratch or dent the surface of one is enough to convince them of why their universe's nations are working together in the first place.
* With the island of Iwo Jima now in the Pantheon itself, much like Basilone before them, they have mostly mixed feelings toward going back to it. The fact that the majority of them were killed or severely wounded during the battle on this very island means that they to treat it as a sacred place. The war memorial on top of Mt. Suribachi in their likeness is proof of this.
** When they do make a visit to the island, they decide to leave behind the two flags they hoisted near the war memorial, as respect for their non-ascended fallen comrades.
