** Among the zombie girls the sponsor bumps into, Lily's scene is easily the most terrifying and the one that makes use of numerous Horror tropes. Dark, [[LightFlickerTeleportation flickering hallway with someone getting close]] as soon as the lights black out? Check. A view from the first-person perspective of the "victim"? Check. [[JumpScare Someone's face instantly taking up the entire screen]] as soon as she reveals her eyes? Check. Contortionist-like bending of limbs and jerky movements? (That part was Tae though) Check. And the background music during this scene? ''Eerie sounds of a crying baby''.

** This also makes others who perform/have performed in Saga for one reason or another - the current Iron Frill group, Light Oozaru, Maimai, White Ryu, among others - ''lucky'' [[FridgeHorror to have avoided serious misfortune thus far]]. And Kotaro himself, despite not being part of the performances, is the one who's ensuring that Franchouchou's trying to save Saga in the first place, yet he likely knows ''full well'' that he's risking life and limb doing this... * As a result of the storm, Saga was hit with a massive flood, and this episode doesn't shy away from showcasing the destruction involved. Franchouchou's mansion was not only swept along for the ride, but collapsed to splinters soon afterward - with nearly everything the girls had inside - while many people in Saga were forced to relocate inside makeshift shelters. And those people were the lucky ones; what happened to those who ''weren't'' so fortunate is [[NothingIsScarier left to the imagination...]]

** Looking at the girls' deaths brings up some disturbing implications about the curse. Neither Ai nor Junko lived in Saga and were out on tour in the prefecture when they died, showing that the curse isn't limited to natives of Saga; "outsiders" of any kind could be killed by the curse if their actions could lead to fame for Saga. Moreover, the curse has zero restrictions on collateral damage, as Junko was in a plane crash with hundreds of other passengers, and the present-day flood naturally affected the whole prefecture (alongside parts of neighboring ones) as well as Franchouchou's mansion. Then you have Sakura whom by all accounts was just an OrdinaryHighSchoolStudent at the time of her death, showing that you don't even have to be famous or well-known beforehand; just the ''potential'' for either is enough to become a target.

** This revelation makes Ai's death even more terrifying; unlike the other girls her death was not a blip on the map, and was ''very'' well known even 10 years after her death. This would have gone against what the curse wanted...except it would have made Saga itself seem dangerous and an ominous place to be, contributing to it's decline (who would want to live in a place where the only thing it's notable for is the death of one of the country's most popular idols at the time?). The curse not only took Ai's life, but made her an example.

** Both of them also show signs of PTSD when they are confronted with things related to their death, Junko is afraid of heights, while Ai is afraid of storms and freezes up when she hears lightning and thunder, implying that they didn't die instantly. This is outright confirmed in Ai's case when an article is shown stating she died in the ambulance taking her to the emergency room. This means that she was still conscious enough after being scorched alive and was most likely in immeasurable pain before finally expiring.
