After the 2 new residents gives up their wishes, Magnifico says in the ''creepiest'' way, "It's a real weight off, isn't it?" At first, these two people who have just had their memories of a core part of themselves erased look a cross between pained, horrified, and heartbroken. Then someone calls out, "Forget without regret!", and the crowd starts cheering, causing both of them to weakly smile. It suggests the description everyone in town pushes of you don't even miss your wish after you're made to forget it is just everyone playing along with what everyone else expects and accepts while feeling as empty as Simon does.
