The game is made with sprites, standard 2D design. The final boss DEFIES that. IT is a photorealistic mashup of parts of things. And then there are it's attacks. They are... comical. The nightmarish final boss has some of the most ludicrous attacks a final boss could have. To put it lightly, [[spoiler:It throws nukes. Honest to god nukes, and then a few finger guns before deciding to crush you with ballerina shoes]]. These are not the things you'd expect from a monstrosity like this. * The [[spoiler: manual]] changes throughout the game, depending on your choices. Some of the changes are... interesting to say the least.
* When getting [[spoiler: the Genocide ending]], there is a small bonus on the ending screen.

! Flowey
* Flowey's funny faces turn out to be quite a bit more. Especially since he's easily able to mimic your friends.

! Violent path

* If you're particularly ruthless, your character will ask Toriel where the knives are in her kitchen. [[spoiler: You eventually find one, but only on the Genocide path.]]
* Flowey's response to you at the end of the Ruins
--> [[spoiler: "Hahaha... You're not really human, are you? No. You're empty inside. Just like me."]]

! The True [[spoiler: Lab]]
* The [[spoiler: Amalgamations]] are particularly disturbing. Especially as you go through the area and learn their origins.
** [[spoiler: Seeing the first Amalgamations and recognizing them as similar to Flowey is unsettling enough on its own.]]
* [[spoiler: TheReveal of Asriel and the Fallen Child's plan to escape, collect 6 human souls, and break the barrier. These are children planning murder, and the Fallen Child committed suicide to set it in motion. Though whether the Fallen Child was really a child is unknown.]]

! Endings

* The final boss on the neutral path comes right the fuck out of nowhere, is legitimately horrifying in every sense of the word. It is jaw dropping. Never has the term OutsideContextVillain been so appropriate.
