** Speaking of, each companion after Sheila reacts to the boss monsters this time. But like in the original, the scene cuts before Scorch is made, so instead, Agent 9 only predicts that the monster will be "real ugly" and getting really nervous. Yeah, even Agent 9 of all things dreads what's coming next. Good call.

** Her demeanor during the final boss fight is also much clearer in her posture. Unlike Gnasty and Ripto, she doesn't run away when she's in harm's way. She at most dodges, and will sometimes run at Spyro even as he's using a tank to fire at her, but the way she carries herself and cackles as if it's just another day on the town gives her the air that Spyro means nothing to her.

* Crush and Gulp are more feral-looking in this version, with smaller, meaner-looking eyes and far more teeth than just one each. Their darker and more foreboding boss arenas also help make them far more threatening.

Added DiffLines:

* The Sorceress. She's portrayed as more of an abusive mother figure to Bianca, her voice sounds calmer and more sociopathic, and she is almost cheerful and filled with glee as she talks about how she wants to kill all the baby dragons and cut off their wings!

Added DiffLines:

* Depending on your point of view, Spike is either much more scarier in this redesign, or somewhat less scary with his more rabbit-like appearance.

* The Rhynocs are much more dinosaur-like in their design, possessing scaly skin and sharp teeth. Their dopey grins in the original series have been replaced by more deranged-looking manic smiles, making them look downright crazy.
* The rhynoc transformed into Buzz is clearly shown screaming in pain as he's transformed, and after he turns into a monster his evil laugh is very unsettling...

* In the original intro cutscene for Zephyr, the Land Blubber suffered FeedItABomb but merely burped afterwards, and still stood there unharmed. In this version, the Breeze Builder puts a bomb under his helmet, followed by an IrisOut, which has more disturbing implications. Though the Land Blubber at the end of the stage has the same design, so he might have been okay.

* The new design for the bushes from Fracture Hills makes them look like a rejected or deformed muppet, including the bulging eyes and featureless gaping black-hole of a mouth.
* You thought the Robosharks in Aquaria Towers were nightmares in the original? Here, they have a much more menacing and realistic design, complete with glowing red eyes, a huge step up in Nightmare Fuel from their almost cartoonish design in the original. And yes, getting eaten by them is still a OneHitKill, even with Sparx.
