She just calmly and tonelessly states that Knuckles and Sonic were trying to find them before muttering her denials to Jewel’s news that they didn’t know who she was. Saffron and the Chaotix notice that something’s wrong and when Vector tries to put his hand on her shoulder, the echidna reaches for her gun to shoot him before Espio takes it away from her in the nick of time. Julie-Su is reduced to a screaming half-mad wreck when Saffron knocks her down in an attempt to restrain and calm her down before the echidna punches her, and its only thanks to that act that Julie-Su is able to snap out of it.
