* Yoma Hashimoto. He's an independent villain following Rohan to Morioh after their initial encounter, burying at least one person in asphalt alive because of them bothering him during his jogging session. He even forces Rohan to panic, something that others are unsettled by, since nothing they previously encountered OOCIsSeriousBusiness ever bothered Rohan. He becomes even worse here by harnessing the power of hamon breaking.

to:

* Maynard K. Jones, the BigBad of Peculiar Parasitic Phenomenon, carries many nightmarish moments, despite generally being polite and pleasant individual.
** Maynard's array of abilities is somewhat haunting. His stand, Lateralus, has the ability of TimeRewindMechanic, allowing him to plan ahead and reverse victories the heroes inflict on him. In fact, because of how tactically he uses that ability, no heroes but Josuke learn of it in the entire story, and Josuke himself only learns of it in the last chapter. And that's without Maynard himself possessing superhuman strength, speed and regeneration, akin to Ikuro, but dilluted, which makes his physical feats, such as his several near-kills of Jotaro, terrifying.
** While pleasant, Maynard is also shown to be frighteningly manipulative. He easily preys on other people's insecurities, recruiting Johngalli and becoming a new messiah to him, almost equal to DIO in the sniper's eyes, the man's own devotion looking eerie as well. Even worse is Maynard's showing in the "August 15th (Wednesday)" arc where he leverages the knowledge of Baoh's eventual hatching against Ikuro, the latter DrivenToSuicide before his HeroicSecondWind kicks in.
** In general, Maynard's demeanor can he eerie. While he's polite and pleasant on average, he's also shown to explode in rage whenever something happens he can't reverse with Lateralus, and, again, his sometimes cruel manipulations occasionally push him into FauxAffablyEvil territory. He's at his most terrifying, perhaps, in the "Mass for the Forgotten" arc, between him being a HeroKiller with a death that sticks and experiencing his VillainousBreakdown during his consecutive fights against Josuke and Ikuro, LaughingMad and dropping the affably part of his persona, eagerly bashing Ikuro's head about and breaking Josuke's limbs.

** In Chapter 24 he becomes the first HeroKiller of the story, violently killing Oingo by HeadCrushing. Keep in mind that the latter performed a HeroicSacrifice, posing as Okuyasu so that the other could evade that fate. After that, Yoma gets hit by The Hand, which is very graphic, and survives that, with his DefenceMechanismSuperpower, The Grudge, evolving to nullify other people's stands in mere moments of contact. Worse than that, he escapes and suffers a SanitySlippage, planning his revenge.

Added DiffLines:

** Chapter 22 validates Josuke's fear further since it's revealed that the Morioh office of Doress has numerous stand users whose ability allow them to spy on the town residents.
** The Doress's experiments and general ruthlessness. While most Doress agents in this story are AffablyEvil with a notable exception of Miyagi Kasuminome, there are numerous occasions of the corporation showing its ruthless side. Most notably in the flashbacks where Sendai Kasuminome kills Ikuro's parents. It's also stated that Dordo killed several teenagers looking for Ikuro, tying the loose ends. Sap Spiders being hidden in Budogaoka High School resulted in several deaths and while Miyagi Kasuminome was the only one stated to be dissecting stand users ForScience, it's mentioned that creation of an artificial stand is a joint effort between various ESP departments.

Added DiffLines:

** Yoma reaches the absolute limit in the "August 15th (Wednesday)" arc, massacring the Trussardis, torturing Okuyasu and paralyzing Steel when he tries to save Koichi from him. And that's before Koichi defeats him for the final time, launching him away with [[GravityScrew [=ACT3 Screech=]]] and triggering his VillainousBreakdown that the man unleashed onto Maynard and his assistants, killing Johnny and Dixie in brutal fashion before Maynard reverses it.

** Karaiya's fate can also be considered that, with Ikuro using Baoh Break Dark Thunder Phenomenon on him. That attack should have killed him, essentially melting him alive, but Forty Six & 2 protected him from that. Instead, Karaiya got his brain half-fried, regressing mentally into the child he was before learning of the Ultimate Thing.

->"Ah, but you don’t have any skipping ropes around here either, do you? There’s not an issue, Rohan-sensei, I assure you. My height, just so you know, is one hundred and seventy eight centimeters. A good skipping rope for me would be around two hundred and twenty eight centimeters. Humans’ small intestines are, on average, six meters long. It’s long, but they’re not very durable. If I fold your small intestine in half, however, it would make for an adequate skipping rope."

While Peculiar Parasitic Phenomenon takes place in Morioh and contains many lighthearted moments of Ikuro befriending the Morioh stand users, the Doress Group are more ambitious and proactive antagonists compared to Yoshikage Kira and they bring much more darkness into the town.

* Kazuki Karaiya is an AxCrazy stand user that the Doress Group recruited to contain Baoh,
but you don’t they didn't account for how vengeful he is towards Josuke Higashikata after their last encounter. He almost kills Koichi by melting his neck if not for his quick wits and Josuke's intervention and puts the Pink Dark Rhapsody 2000 on fire killing dozens of people in what's later covered up as a terrorist attack. Spoilers Off applies.
* The Doress Group in general invokes a sense of paranoia, having been observing Morioh since before Diamond is Unbreakable. They have overly detailed profiles of stand user in town, as shown in Chapter 7 when Kasuminome recounts everything about Koichi, down to his address, height and weight, creeping him out. In the second half of the story Josuke briefly develops paranoia since Doress stand users look like everyone else and can be spying on him at every turn. Even worse, he's entirely correct as in Chapter 19, during his date with Okuyasu and Mikitaka, no less than three Doress agents spying on him, Gold-Two included.

** Yoma's skipping-rope speech towards Rohan when he actually corners Rohan in his house is particularly chilling with how the man flips between AffablyEvil and AxCrazy.
