** What happens to his body is likewise horrific, but in a way the opposite: [[spoiler:while the illusory form is crushed yet bloodless, the body has blood pouring out, yet ''there are no visible wounds'']].

* Trailers:
** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RDM0WdUfHew Some]] [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qm4x_OfUHY of]] the promo trailers for Season 2 are this. This [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_s1M-rkDO8Q one]] titled “All In Your Head” is a Lenny/Shadow King playing and messing with the audience's head. It really pushes TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou to its limits.
*** The full trailer has no shortage of creepy imagery, including:
*** A black bug-like creature, presumably an agent of the Shadow King, crawling towards a [[ParanoiaFuel sleeping person]]...
*** Four people standing in front of mirror-like devices, telling David "The end of everything. Can you feel it?" All of them saying this ''[[VoiceOfTheLegion at the same time.]]''
*** Some poor bastard falling out the window of a ''very tall'' skyscraper.
*** A number of people possessed by the Shadow King with their teeth chattering at unnatural speed. What makes it worse is that it also happens to ''[[spoiler:Ptonomy.]]''
* Really the entire premise of the series is this: the story of a mentally unstable(?) man who discovers he's not really insane but has powers and the government is after him. Which David points out in the final episode of the first season is ''exactly'' the kind of thing a schizophreniac would make up. Suddenly you have to ask yourself '''how much''' of the show is actually taking place in the "real-world" and how much of it is in David's head.

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process
