** Char Aznable's PaperThinDisguise. Did Char really think that calling himself Quattro Vagina, er, Bajeena ( What the HELL was Tomino thinking?) and wearing '80s sunglasses was going to fool anyone into thinking that the AEUG's AcePilot was not the famed Red Comet?
*** This was so bad that ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSeedDestiny Gundam SEED Destiny]]'' parodied it: Athrun tried to disguise himself as "Alex Dino," but is found out ''very'' quickly because all he did was put on a pair of sunglasses.
*** Kai Shiden's letter revealing Char's true identity would have been a lot more poignant if not for this infamous phrase: ''Captain Quattro. [[MemeticMutation He is a CHAR.]]''

** Revive Revival is a particular offender. You'd really think they had someone on the production team who spoke English, because their names ''are'', for the most, part real words. The fact that they made such goofy names for these guys is just beyond me.

* Mikazuki's unemotional "Ohhhhhh" upon seeing [[spoiler: the lost Mobile Armor awaken]] at the start of Episode 36 sounds like he's having an orgasm.

* The obscure FMV game ''Gundam 0079: The War For Earth'' is so much of this its a wonder it tends to get passed over for ''G-Saviour''. One particularly silly aspect that even gets mocked by Japanese fans is the actor playing Char Aznable- sorry, Shar Aznabull having a very prominent chin, but those who watch the game all the way through get to bear witness to the Gundam Tank (Gundam with Guntank's treads) and the Gundam [[AdaptationalWimp now being so weak it could easily be taken out by proximity mines or a few bursts from a Zaku- sorry, ZACK machine gun.]] The best part, though, is the English voice track's noteworthy pronunciation of "Zeon" as "John". Sure its in line with the Japanese audio track but lets face it, everyone's saying "john." The game becomes arguably funnier with the Japanese audio track, as [[RoleReprise almost every VA from the anime reprise their roles here]], so even the dopey, big-chinned version of Char seen here still has Creator/ShuichiIkeda's butter-smooth voice coming out of his mouth.

** Char's mask looks particularly laughable. It looks like he cut a piece of gray paper to put over his face rather than get something to protect his eyes. {{WebVideo/Rerez}} compared it to “a mask made out of cereal boxes”, and mocked the hell out of it in their review of the game.

* At one point, Loran pilots the Turn A...while naked, with only his wooden fish toy covering his groin. And yes, the Turn A's cockpit is basically in the groin. How...appropriate?

** The voice acting in the [=PS2=] game is either this or SoBadItsGood. At least it's much better than ''VideoGame/HouseOfTheDead 2'' or ''VideoGame/MegaManX4''.

** The ridiculous [[BikiniBabeAssault Bikini Babe Assault]] scene which features [[spoiler: Katejina]] sending a squadron of half naked pilots with jetpacks and bazookas after the V2. Uso’s stunned reaction of “Semi-naked women?!” really nails it in.

** Anew Returner. Seriously, is there anyone, ''anyone'' named Anew?![[note]]It ''might'' work if her name was something like Amelia New Returner, and she was using the first name's initial. But it's not, and she's not.Although they could be treating it as a code name like Lasse Aeon or Lockon Stratos.[[/note]]

** Bask Om. The guy has no motivation mentioned InUniverse for any of the atrocities he commits, and he wears Swimming Goggles at all times.

* Master Asia's ''horse'' has its own mobile suit. And if you take into account how everyone gets into those Mobile Trace bodysuits (especially Rain)...
* Most of the Gundams look like [[CaptainEthnic bizarre stereotypes]]. Neo Mexico may be the worst. It's piloted by a guy named Chico, wears a sombrero, has a mustache, is apparently part cactus, and is named ''Tequila Gundam''.
** The Neo American Gundam can take its "Shirt" off. If that's not bad enough, it has built in ''pecs and abs''. Which make it look like a gorilla.
* And finally, just to show that ''G Gundam'' doesn't fuck around when it comes to its narm, ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fUJ6LehQ3I this is how the last battle ends]]''.

* From the very first episode:

* The name "Mobile Doll".

* The frequent LullDestruction caused by Haro bouncing around and exclaiming silly phrases in GratuitousEnglish.
* Sai tried to [[LoveMakesYouCrazy hijack the Strike]] [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment to no discernible end]]. Since he didn't know how to fly the thing, it fell over. The kicker was when it bellowed, "[[BigNo WHYYYYYYYYYY????]]"
* In the HD Remaster version, Nicol Amalfi's death was changed to an accident, where [[AdaptationalSelfDefense he runs into Strike's blade and dies]], unlike the original, where Kira swings at Nicol in self-defense.

* This series does badly with relationships. Not only is Marie/Soma and Allelujah narm, but so also are [[CargoShip Setsuna and his Gundam]], Lockon and Anew, and Billy and Sumeragi. The creators of ''Anime/EurekaSeven'' and ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'' would {{Facepalm}} if they saw how poorly ''00'' does in the romance department.

** Pity. If Ribbons had created a clone army of Ali, then that would have pushed the JustForFun/HolyShitQuotient of the show through the roof, both for the audience and InUniverse. But no... Then again, cloning someone like [[BloodKnight Ali]] [[ForTheEvulz Al-Saachez]] probably isn't [[TheStarscream the wisest thing to do]].

* The very OffModel and even ''smiley'' face Ribbons makes after getting a [[spoiler:bullet to the head]].
* In episode 23 of the first season, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh2I2Gv6eHk#t=15m1s the little robot's repeated cries of]] [[spoiler: "Lockon! LOCKON! Lockon! LOCKON!"]] ruined the tragedy of the scene.
** Speak for yourself; many people found the little robot's cries increased the drama as everyone slowly realized what had happened. [[NarmCharm C'mon, even Haro is sad!]]
* The Pixie Dust scene near the end of season two which solves the mental problems of several characters, primarily because only Louise had a difficult problem. The other two have ridiculous problems that could have been solved by just talking it out. One of them is nothing more than Sergei never explaining his actions to his son. Using Pixie Dust to solve that is overkill bordering on KarmaHoudini.
* Graham Aker's transformation into Mr. Bushido, in which he wears a ridiculous samurai outfit that wouldn't be out-of-place in ''[[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam G Gundam]]'', sadly this is played entirely straight, without any tongue in cheek scenes.
** That's only true in the first season. When Billy meets Graham for the first time in season 2, Billy points out how everyone calls Graham Mr. Bushido now. Graham replies, "It's just the name they've given me, to be honest it's quite bothersome". So, while they don't show it, everyone does seem to consider Mr. Bushido a skilled pilot with a ridiculous outfit and persona.
** Graham gets crazier over time. The [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation more generous interpretation of this]] is it being a {{Deconstruction}} -- "the guy who acts like a ''[[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam G Gundam]]'' character is a madman". If this is true, then everything before was on purpose; if not, then we may have CharacterDerailment.

* One episode of the English dub had Daryl Dodge screaming "YOU DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!" at another character; if memory serves, it was Patrick. The delivery of the line broke the emotional tension.
** Daryl is full of unintentional humor in the English dub because Creator/ScottMcNeil (his English VA, who also voices Ali-Al Sacheez) gives him a hilariously bad stereotypical black guy voice. For the record, Creator/ScottMcNeil is a white man from Australia.

* And what about Marina's song? It was supposed to be very dramatic and heart warming, but its {{Anvilicious}} lyrics and obnoxious singing from children just made most people laugh at the song and/or turn down the volume. [[spoiler:On top of that, it prevented Setsuna from finishing Ali Al-Saachez, something that could've saved Celestial Being a lot of grief.]]

** Pity. If Ribbons had created a clone army of Ali, then that would have pushed the HolyShitQuotient of the show through the roof, both for the audience and InUniverse. But no... * The reunion of Asemu, Zeheart and Romary in episode 24 thanks to bad writing. [[spoiler:When Zeheart offers to continue their friendship on the condition of Asemu abandoning the Earth Federal Forces, he rejects because he has nothing else in his life. Zeheart then pulls out his gun and says ''"If you're in the battlefield, I can't be myself."'' Add [[SanitySlippage Asemu looking like he's about to go]] [[DragonBall Super Saiyan]] and Romary cranking a [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam0083StardustMemory Nina Purpleton]], and you got one of the franchise's most unintentionally hilarious scenes yet.]]

** Septem is ejected out of a plane and then shot just in case he survives [[NoOneCouldSurviveThat falling out of a plane]].

* Duke Dermail looks like the bastard child of UsefulNotes/GeorgeWashington and Colonel Sanders. Everyone else from the Romefeller Foundation looks like they just came from a Society for Creative Anachronisms convention.

* Wait, we haven't mentioned the memorable second season scene in which [[spoiler: Allelujah]] is shown in a straitjacket and with a face mask on? [[SilenceOfTheLambs Hannibal Lector]] vibes, people?
