** Fugo's GHA has him popping one of Purple Haze Distortion's capsules ''in his mouth'', so that the opponent at close range can't see it coming and evade it. Even though PHD's virus can eat other viruses, and thus two viruses from two different capsules will cancel each other, now Fugo has ''a few seconds'' to cure himself before dying, as opposed to the 30-seconds limit that allowed [[spoiler:Giorno and Illuso (the first time he's infected)]] to survive.

** The Situation Finish has the defeated character launched out of the building, a reference to how [[spoiler:Vanilla Ice]] was defeated. Vampire and Pillar Men characters (and Kars in his non-ultimate lifeform) will even be disintegrated by the sunlight.

** Naturally, most of his taunts include his infamous GratuitousEnglish phrases, most notably his "OH! MY! GOD!" pose with his hands on his head, when he first laid eyes on how Egyptian toilets worked. Also included are "SON OF A BITCH!" and "HOLY SHIT!", used in quick succession during the Sun chapter when everyone burst out laughing. He will also shout "OH NOOO!" if his GHA misses the opponent.

** His intro pose has Silver Chariot piercing several coins, taken from his introductory episode. If he's up against Avdol, the coins will be on fire, referencing Polnareff's debut chapters.

** Another reference to the final battle plays if the DIO player uses his Time Stop move, and then uses his HHA; said move will change to DIO throwing an array of knives at his victim. This is also a reference to DIO's knife throw super from the Capcom game.

** If one has full gauge and enters DIO's Time Stop command, the gauge, if used on the time stop alone, will fully deplete in exactly 9 seconds. This is in reference to how after [[spoiler:draining Joseph of his blood]], he was able to stop time for this exact length in ''Stardust Crusaders''' climax.

*** If the move is about to miss the opponent, Kosaku will nervously bite his nails, which is what he did after [[spoiler:killing Hayato]].

*** Dio Brando: Half of Dio's face will seemingly close and become dead, similar to how Dio was when he regenerated himself after being cut in half by Jonathan.

*** ASB Pucci: The camera tilts. Gold Experience will also put its free hand on the other side of Pucci's head to keep him from using his gravitational abilities. This is a reference to [[spoiler:his death at the hands of Emporio and Heavy Weather]]. No such alteration happens on Whitesnake Pucci in ''R''.

** C-Moon's punches can turn parts of the enemy's body inside out; however, using such attacks on an enemy already affected will interrupt the effect. This has been exploited in the manga, during the battle at the Space Center.
