* BiblicalMotifs: "Looking Through Patient Eyes" has multiple examples. It includes church scenes, crucifixes, and a shirt that reads "Thank You Jesus."
* BornInTheWrongCentury: Or rather born in the wrong decade. Prince Be commented in an interview that "Maybe I was born too late. I love the '60s—the colors, the attitudes and the music."

* ChristianRock: Well, Christian Hip-Hop. The Other Wiki describes Prince Be as adding "aspects of mysticism and crypto-Christian imagery, to his songs."

* FrivolousLawsuit: The group was sued by Paul and Michael Batiste who claimed that the song "So On and So On" used unauthorized samples from David Batiste & The Gladiators' "Funky Soul," and that they were excluded from the liner notes of the album. The case was dismissed due to lack of evidence on the first point, and the fact that The Baptiste's group was in fact credited in the liner notes.

* IRejectYourReality: This is the theme of "Reality Used to Be a Friend of Mine."
* LetsDuet: Prince Be contributed a song to the Music/EltonJohn album Duets called "When I Think About Love (I Think About You)."
* MusicalisInterruptus: A rivalry with Music/KRSOne resulted in KRS-One and his crew storming a P.M. Dawn concert, and forcing the group off stage.
* PsychedelicRock: The group is hard to categorize. They are normally categorized as Alternative Hip-Hop. But Allmusic.com described the group as being "its own brand of psychedelic soul."

* TakeThat: "Plastic" towards the hardcore rappers who made fun of their "hippie" personas.

Long Title has been disambiguated

* LongTitle: Yeah, just a tad. The debut is titled ''Of The Heart, Of The Soul, And Of The Cross: The Utopian Experience.'' Then there's ''The Bliss Album ...? (Vibrations of Love and Anger and the Ponderance of Life and Existence),'' and the fourth album, ''Dearest Christian, I'm So Very Sorry For Bringing You Here. Love, Dad.''

The brothers overcame tragedy with the death of their father from pneumonia, and the drowning of their baby brother at the age of two. They were raised by their mother, Janice, a gospel singer, and their stepfather George Brown (incidentally, a founding member of Kool & The Gang). Prince Be was [=DJing=] parties in ninth grade, and resolved to make a demo tape with DJ Minutemix of the music he had written. After simply going under "Prince Bee & DJ Minutemix" they eventually chose the name PM Dawn because, as Prince Be put it, "PM Dawn is an abbreviation of the idea that in the darkest hour comes the light."
