* Anime/SenkiZesshouSymphogear: The BigBad of the second season is Dr. John Wayne Vercingetorix, known as Dr. Ver. A MadScientist of unparalleled ego, he has no qualms about using a Mook-making device on innocent civilians just because they saw him in action (those same Mooks disintegrate a normal human just by touching them), and has quite a sadistic streak, grinning like a maniac when a resurrected monster bites off the heroine's arm. The other members of the terrorist organisation he's part of don't think highly of him, and only keep him because he's the only person to be able to look after the wheelchair-bound leader's health, which he gleefully uses as an excuse to inject psycho serums to the combat-capable members. When the season's climax comes around, he flat out admits that he never shared the organization's views of preventing the world's destruction, and simply wants to save his own butt, with optional plans to repopulate Earth with one of the antagonist Symphogears, hence why he accelerated the Moon's descent rather than stop it.

* Anime/TweenyWitches: ANaziByAnyOtherName Grande, the leader and general of the warlocks, continues an over two-century-long ethnic cleansing campaign against the wizards. Planning the destruction of the Human Realm with the forbidden dark magic, which he knew would drive every living thing to despair, he had the True Book of Spells stolen from the Grand Master of Witches more than fourteen years ago. When a prophet advised him against using dark magic, he swallowed the prophet whole for disobedience in front of the prophet's young son, Sigma. When the warlocks discover that all the captive fairies escaped from the Witch Realm, he orders his men to attack the Witch Realm and to bring him the escaped fairies and the True Book of Spells. He manipulates an inept apprentice witch named Eva into casting dark magic as the traitor among the witches under the pretense of helping her become strong. While he claims to be making a new home for his species to escape the eventual destruction of the Magical Realm, in reality, he's nothing more than a power-hungry hypocrite willing to hurt even his own people as long as he can rule everything.
* Manga/TwentiethCenturyBoys: Both versions of Friend were absolute monsters of a different variety.
** The first Friend (), after growing up ignored by his classmates, with their attention often focused on Kenji Endou, developed a craving for attention, and a disproportionate hatred for Kenji. Already wicked as a child, he psychologically abused his so-called "best friends," regularly tried to terrify people with his tricks, and ruined the childhood of one of his classmates, who would later become the second Friend thanks in part to the first Friend's cruelty. Forming the "Cult Friendship Party" as an adult, this Friend began developing a virus that painfully killed anyone it infected, all while silencing anyone who got his way. Unleashing the virus, he framed Kenji and his group for the ensuing 150,000 deaths, took over much of the world as a "hero," and ruled it with an iron fist, sending people to reeducation camps for even minor crimes. His AGodAmI master plan is then revealed: Use a new virus to wipe out 99% of the human race, then rule over the remaining 1% of "true believers." Sociopathic, egomanical, and petty, the first Friend set the bar for wickedness in this manga.
** The Second Friend () grew up unliked and bullied, in particular by the aforementioned first Friend, and this resulted in a hatred for all humanity. Taking over after the previous Friend's death, he destroys much of human civilization with a new virus and rules what's left even harsher than the previous Friend, spreading tales of "aliens" invading to keep innocents terrified in the process. To further cause chaos, this Friend regularly sends out small doses of vaccines to groups of potential rebels, knowing they will tear themselves apart trying to acquire the antidote. Revealing he plans to destroy all of humanity with an incurable virus, this Friend tries to make Kenji watch as he kills Kenji’s niece, Kanna (Kanna’s mother is Kenji’s sister, while her father is ), as revenge for a transgression Kenji committed against him as a child, and, when finally defeated, it is revealed he left an Anti-Proton bomb to be detonated by his followers, which will destroy the entire world when activated. Though having the aforementioned FreudianExcuse, the second Friend was ultimately a psychopathic misanthrope whose attempted revenge on humankind was DisproportionateRetribution taken to its highest degree.
