* GondorCallsForAid: To a frankly ridiculous extent. Literally ''everyone'' out heroes have met shows up for the final battle against [[spoiler:NEO]], no matter how minor, including all the villains still alive. [[spoiler:It's almost immediately subverted, however; NEO borders on omnipotent, so he simply annihilates all assembled with a single thought]].

The second major ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}'' manga to be produced in V-Jump, ''Digimon Next'' is a 26 chapter series that ran from 2006 to 2008. Its run coincided with the airing of ''Anime/DigimonSavers'' and both series shared concepts like [=DigiSouls=], similar partner Digimon, and the same Digivices. However, ''Next'' adhered closer to the original youthful art style and themes of the first four anime series.

* CanonCharacterAllAlong: Norn Mikihara seems to be a character unique to this continuity, a childhood friend of the protagonists who's been kidnapped by Barbamon. [[spoiler:Actually, she's an avatar of the Digital World's MasterComputer Yggdrasil, and is more heroic here than in other continuities (like ''Anime/DigimonSavers'' or the X Antibody storyline).]]

* InternalReveal: The reader learns that the Hacker Tamer is Shou at the end of chapter 3. The heroes, who are also Shou's estranged childhood friends, don't learn of this fact until the end of chapter 14.

* NotDisabledInVR: Yuu has a heart condition in the real world, but he's completely fine in the Digital World. It leads to him not wanting to go back, partly because he's afraid of the surgery that could heal him. He grows out of it eventually.
