* ''Manga/MyDeerFriendNokotan'': Nokotan defies any semblance of reality. She has deer antlers, although they can be detached easily, however she can also reattach them and use them as handles to ''remove the top of her head''. Not in a gory way. She just a solid block of nothing where her brain should be.

* ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena'' may have a reputation for being ''[[TrueArtIsIncomprehensible important art]]'', and it may be well-earned, but you may also be surprised by how many times you'll see middle school girls get run over by elephants, how many bodily-function jokes turn up, and how hard it is to tell if the {{fanservice}} isn't something you're supposed to laugh at.

Added DiffLines:

* ''ComicBook/GiraffesOnHorsebackSalad'' is a romantic comedy written by Creator/SalvadorDali with [[Creator/MarxBrothers Harpo Marx]] as the leading man -- how could it be anything else? The tale begins with a woman traversing an exclusive nightclub in a winding white velvet tunnel, an orchestra playing music with roast chickens tied to the tops of their heads, and a ballerina dancing while a swarm of [[HelpingHands disembodied hands]] caress her -- and it simply gets ''more'' inexplicable as the story progresses.

* This is a major element of ''WebVideo/SMPLive'', with bits like "æ", "Bean Yoda", conflicts over banning Obama from ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'' restaurants, Pokay's "sea pickle" RunningGag...

* ''WesternAnimation/DrawnTogether'' is a show largely dedicated to spoofing tropes of reality shows, various animated genres and media, and [[ReferenceOverdosed everything else imaginable]]. Some of the plots are just plain weird, though, especially in later seasons that treat the FramingDevice of cartoon characters on a reality show as [[TheArtifact just an excuse to get all these crazy characters in one place]]. One episode involves one of the house guests taking in [[MediumBlending a live-action cow]] as a pet, and in another token black housemate Foxxy Brown degenerates into [[UncleTomfoolery increasingly offensive black stereotypes]] due to brain damage from a tumor. The creators have stated that literally nothing happens for any reason [[RuleOfFunny other than to be funny]].

This trope often overlaps with SoBadItsGood, especially when a work falls into this by accident. It is also a very common source of WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs. One way to create Surreal Humor is with {{Bathos}}.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHpWoAmVQm8 This commercial]] for an online shoe shop called Zalando. It starts off pretty normal, with a frightened guy saying you shouldn't let your wife / girlfriend / sister discover the online shop because she will buy excessive amounts of shoes. The commercial ends with a delivery man ringing the door bell. A woman who bought the shoes screams in excitement, the frightened guy screams in fear… and the delivery man screams for no reason with a bored facial expression.

* ''ARG/OmegaMart'':
** Omega Mart's more benignly weird products are often just parodies of regular products you'd find in a real grocery store, like Whale Song antiperspirant and antidepressant or the various mergings of art and fine meats/cheeses in the delicatessen.
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o40XBXlvXDw Omega Mart Lemon]] might be creepy when it reveals its eye, but [[OhCrap its sudden change in expression]] after the announcer says that the store will be [[DeadlyEuphemism "carefully disposing of them"]] [[spoiler:and a hand comes down to grab it]] is ''hilariously'' pitiful. That's not even getting into the fact that [[AssholeVictim the lemons are being culled for a reason]].
