Aroma plays a key part in helping to apprehend the robbers when he and Homer come across four men who stole a suitcase containing two thousand dollars and a dozen bottles of shaving lotion. Aroma, who likes to take naps in Homer's suitcase, climbs into the suitcase with the money and one of the robbers gets the bright idea of throwing a rock at him, which results in six fewer bottles of lotion and a stinky suitcase. This particular scent combination enables Homer to identify the robbers when they stop at one of his parents' tourist cabins for the night and pay with a five-dollar bill from the suitcase.

* ''Film/StuartLittle'': In the third film, Reeko uses this smell on the Beast.

* ''WesternAnimation/PAWPatrol'': In the episode "Pups Get Skunked", Everest gets sprayed by a skunk.

* In the episode, "Shampooch", it is mentioned that Bingo and Rolly made friends with a skunk, who ended up accidentally spraying them. Bob gave them a bath, but they were still stinky before giving them various baths before they smelled better.

Unfortunately, Oliver winds up on the receiving end of a prank when the pair switch skunks so Oliver winds up with a scented skunk named Melvin. Both skunks are subsequently brought to school for an event and wind up escaping (or being released from his cage, in Irving's case) and causing trouble. Unusually for this trope, their scent is portrayed accurately, with Melvin only stinking when he sprays (and only doing it twice in one day), and Irving still having his spraying instincts despite being incapable.
