This is something of an EvolvingTrope. Early iterations of this tended to portray Italians as fast-talking [[ConMan con-men]] whose loudness was a cover for various schemes. Later on, as movies about TheMafia became popular, depictions of Italians as more violent, easily angered thugs with passionate relationships. A newer variant has Italians (particularly men) whose emotion goes along with being [[InTouchWithHisFeminineSide effeminate]]. In any case, these characters will be [[NoIndoorVoice loud]], argumentative, and prone to [[ItaliansTalkWithHands gesticulating a lot]]. And [[DrivesLikeCrazy lead-footed]].

* In Creator/{{Terrytoons}}' [[https://youtu.be/XuGpdFlsf6c The Three Bears]], the bears are given stereotypical Italian accents and mannerisms and are often shown arguing amongst each other. * Giuseppe Martini from ''Film/ItsAWonderfulLife'' is an Italian immigrant bartender with an over-the-top accent, and he is particularly shouty when he banishes Mr. Welch from his bar for punching George. Nevertheless, Martini and his family are decidedly sympathetic characters. Most notably, the only character who says any bad words about Martini and his family is [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain Mr. Potter]]. It should be noted that this movie's director, Creator/FrankCapra, was himself [[AuthorAppeal an Italian immigrant]].
