** Played to the extreme in the story ''Literature/AllYouZombies'', [[spoiler: about a man who was both of his own parents. He was born a female, but was really a {{hermaphrodite}} and lost his female parts after giving birth. Then he went back in time and had sex with himself, in an attempt to save herself from that man who knocked her up and left her, then kidnapped his baby self, went back in time, and dropped it off at an orphanage. Every single significant character in the story turns out to be that one individual. {{Lampshaded}} when the song "I'm My Own Grandpa" comes on the jukebox; he becomes angry and unplugs it.]]

The story starts with him telling his backstory to a bartender: He was born a female, but and got pregnant after sleeping with a man. She gave birth via c-section, where it was really discovered she was a {{hermaphrodite}} and lost his with internal male genitalia. Complications during the birth caused her to lose the function of her female parts after giving birth. Then he went genitalia so the doctors swapped them out for the still-functioning male genitalia, and she has been living as a man ever since. The bartender reveals himself as a time traveller working for a secret organization, and offers to take the protagonist back in time and had sex with himself, in an attempt to so he can save herself himself from that man jerk who knocked her him up and left her, then kidnapped disappeared. It is only after seducing and sleeping with his baby self, went back in time, past female self that he realizes that ''he'' was the jerk. Meanwhile, the bartender travels nine months into the future to when the protagonist gives birth to herself, kidnaps the baby, and dropped takes it further into the past to drop it off at an orphanage. Every single significant character in orphanage, thus completing the story turns out StableTimeLoop. Because ''the bartender is the protagonist too'', only older, and he wants to be that one individual. {{Lampshaded}} ensure his own creation. This twist is simultaneously {{foreshadow|ing}}ed and {{lampshade|Hanging}}d at the beginning of the story, when the song "I'm My Own Grandpa" comes starts playing on the jukebox; he jukebox in the bartender's bar, and the protagonist becomes angry and unplugs it.]]shuts it off]].
