Compare BoringReturnJourney.
Contrast BoringReturnJourney, when the trip back serves as a denouement. Not to be confused with GoingHomeAgain, which is when a character makes it to the big leagues in a competitive trade, flunks, and then returns to their hometown to reconnect.
