While this trope is applicable to almost anyone who looks rather unorthodox with their physical design, probably the easiest type of individual to be classified as such is the one who ''[[LoveToHate behaves]]'' '''''[[LackOfEmpathy very]]''''' ''[[{{Jerkass}} badly]]'' in front of others, much more so if it's their default trait, especially since that can indicate or suggest that they're basically '''ugliness personified''', to which the trope itself can also act like an automatic version of EvilMakesYouUgly, as well as being a much more [[EvilCounterpart negative relative]] to UglyCute, from such moral case.

* Both Ralph and Felix from ''WesternAnimation/WreckitRalph'' have the appearance of this due to their designs being based on the limitations of 8-bit sprites. [[spoiler: [[BigBad King Candy's]] true form, Turbo, also resembles this, due to him having pale skin, sunken yellow eyes, and a SlasherSmile full of crooked, yellow teeth.]]

* Baron Vladimir Harkonnen stands out in both the [[Film/Dune1984 1984]] and [[Film/Dune2021 2021]]-[[Film/DunePartTwo 2023]] film adaptations of ''Literature/{{Dune}}''. He's grotesquely obese in both, though the 1984 one goes the extra mile with his face, which is covered with suppurating sores.

* Creator/AchievementHunter made a Gonkish character for [[ButtMonkey Kerry]] when he joined the team over ''[[LetsPlay/AchievementHunterGrandTheftAutoSeries Grand Theft Auto V]]'' on the UsefulNotes/XBoxOne. The reasoning being that he transferred his character from the 360 version to the Playstation 4 version.

** Eddy is actually a much straighter example for this trope than Ed himself is, given the former's rather strange no-neck appearace, which has been consistently present throughout the show.

* ''VideoGame/Skylanders'' series:
** [[Characters/SkylandersKaos Kaos]] is pretty AmbiguouslyHuman with his very grotesque face that is covered in tattoos. He was so ugly that he recieved countless insults despite having the upbringing described of that of a prince and was always overshadowed by his much more handsome brothers.
** [[VideoGame/SkylandersTrapTeam Chef Pepper Jack]] is a fat antropomorfic chili pepper where his entire head is a pepper, which understandably makes his face not that handsome.

* Quasimodo in WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney is drawn with an upturned nose, a permanently squinted eye and large buck-teeth; his insecurity over his appearance is used by the villainous Frollo to control him.
* Syndrome from ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'' has an unusually large chin. Even when he was younger, he already has this kind of physical trait.

* Disney's ''WesternAnimation/{{Cinderella}}'' has both Anastasia and Drizella Tremaine, who are the ugly ''and'' vain stepsisters of the titular character herself (whom they are jealous of due to her overall beauty). [[spoiler:However, Anastasia herself has since lost this trope on her in the sequels due to her [[CharacterDevelopment developed]] [[TookALevelInKindness kindness]], which makes her [[UglyCute more lovable]] than how she was before, thus leaving Drizella the one who currently maintains this trope on herself.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'': "Everyone Knows Juanita" seems to be describing such a person, with the punchline revealing that Juanita is actually an object of desire for the even uglier singer.
* Mel Meh from ''WesternAnimation/TheEmojiMovie'' has a Donald Trump-like hairstyle, bags under his eyes, and [[PerpetualFrowner a huge frown on his face]].

** The Yellow Bastard from the story of the same name stands out: a bald, goblin-like being with [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheThin bright yellow skin]]. [[spoiler: He turns out to be [[PaedoHunt Ethan Roark Jr.]], the son of Senator Roark, who used to be a normal-looking young man, with his appearance and skin colour caused by the surgery and drugs used to restore his body after Hartigan battered and castrated him.]]

** The Yellow Bastard from the story of the same name stands out. [[spoiler: He turns out to be [[PaedoHunt Ethan Roark Jr.]], the son of Senator Roark, who was a normal-looking young man, with his hideous appearance and bright yellow skin caused by the surgery and drugs used to restore his body after Hartigan battered and castrated him.]]

* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'':
** Hans Moleman, the diminutive and impossibly wrinkly old man ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG8d0x1WcAc "I'm 31 years old!"]]) with enormously thick glasses and terrible luck. He earned his appellation from the production crew when they noticed how shriveled and unrealistic he was. According to a DVD commentary for one episode, a number of viewers were disgusted by Moleman's appearance, and he was reused in order to annoy those people.
** Moe the bartender looks like Randall from ''Recess'' as an adult. He's often acknowledged to be this in-universe as well, as he's been described as made of "cauliflower ear, lizard lips, little rat eyes, caveman brow and fish snout". It was even admitted in the commentary for "Pygmoelian" that due to this trope, few people care if he's drawn OffModel.

* On his first appearances, William Winsbury in ''Webcomic/GunnerkriggCourt'' is markedly uglier than the main characters, with his odd colouring and pointy teeth. After some {{Art Shift}}s, and as he becomes a less unsympathetic character, he gets rather more handsome.

** The Yellow Bastard from the story of the same name stands out.

** Out of all the Koopalings, Morton Koopa easily takes the cake with his tiny eyes and large, whisker-like eyebrows, topped off by being the group's DumbMuscle with HulkSpeech.

* "Big Ethel" from ''ComicBook/ArchieComics'' was once six-foot, scrawny, buck-toothed, and with a nose that would shame ''[[Literature/TheAdventuresOfPinocchio Pinocchio]]''. Over the years she's steadily been toned down (with the moniker "big" being dropped entirely) and become ''much'' easier on the eyes, to the point that she's now only ''slightly'' less attractive than Betty and Veronica.
* ''ComicBook/DoomPatrol'' gives us Dorothy Spinner, a perfectly sweet teenage girl who unfortunately has an unusually simian-looking face, but she's adorable compared to her older DarkFuture counterpart from the ''Doom Force'' one-shot, who is afflicted with both a wrinkled monkey face ''and'' a horribly (and [[StylisticSuck deliberately]]) Liefeld-esque physique.

* The Yellow Bastard from ''ComicBook/SinCity'' stands out.
** Marv's a gonk, due to the impossible skeletal structure of his face. It's stated in "The Hard Goodbye" that Marv is so ugly even the prostitutes won't touch him. Goldie was the one exception, and when she gets murdered he spends the entire rest of the story on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge against her killers.

* ''Franchise/WonderWoman'' [[ComicBook/WonderWoman1942 Vol 1]]: The Golden Age Duke of Deception is a shriveled man with twisted facial features and two different sized eyes. Deception is not depicted to be easy on the eyes, being uglier than Doctor Psycho whose unattractive features are a plot point.

** Most of the underground-dwelling outcast mutants were very ugly. In fact, many of those who were not ugly to begin with had their features marred by the flesh-shaping member Masque, as their way of showing disdain for the society that rejected them.
** Toad was described as having an extremely odd, unpleasant face.

* ''Manhwa/TheBreaker'' ({{manhwa}}) has Mamungi. The protagonist calls him an ork, but his badass master just calls him frog-faced.

* ''Manga/IgaNoKagamaru'': Many a commoner in the village Kabamaru grew up in are fat, short and utterly cartoonish. When Ran enters for the first time, her and Kabamaru look like they're of NonstandardCharacterDesign compared to them.

* Father Jack from ''Series/FatherTed'' is incredibly ugly, with stringy unwashed hair, crusted lips and skin, and a near-permanent grimacing snarl. WordOfGod says that Frank Kelly always had to eat alone when on set because the make-up that was used to transform him into Father Jack was disgusting enough to put the rest of the cast and crew off their meals.

** Eddy is actually a much straighter example for this trope than Ed himself, given the former's rather strange no-neck appearace, which has been consistently present throughout the show.

** Ed, in the first season, albeit a more {{Downplayed}} example when compared to Lee, especially considering his normally joyful personality. Starting with season 2, he underwent ArtEvolution to make him more stylized and less UglyCute; his head became a smoother, more simplified triangle shape, and his gums became less prominent when he would speak.
